- Since I did not find any video or forum post explaining how to remove the upper fairing on a 2013 - 2016 CBR600RR, and no instructions in the owner's manual, I decided to make my own video in order to help others.

Thanks for making this video. I’ve got a 2013 in the same colour. I needed to remove the tank cover to run a cable for the healtech gear indicator I installed. This was super helpful!
I’ve had my 2013 600rr in the same color as yours for about a month now and the mods are almost here. This video definitely will help for when I do the new filter and flush signals!
I’m 1 min in and thank u all ready lol been looking for a video to replace all the fairings so atleast this gives me a piece of the puzzle
I HATE going through the fairing removal process on my bike because of all these damb bolts. Lol, just glad someone else appreciates the beauty that is the 2013+ CBR's
Treizez34, this is actually my s/o bike.
Mine is the RSV4 sitting there quietly in the back. It did take me some time but we learned to love the new look :)
shots fired! jk, i've wanted to upgrade for a while but insurance quotes are insane here. Can't find any litre bike for less than $4k a year.
I jsut got my 2014 and I'm very glad to have found this video I will be needing a opil change and filter change soon so im adding this to my favorites
I ride a 2015 CBR600RR...you would be a GREAT nieghbor!!
thank you so much for making this video. i need to change my coolent but didnt want to guess and break the fairings been there and done it on other bike so thank you so much for this video
I'm happy this helped you.
Thanks a lot this video helped me out big time awsome
Thai Douangkham, I'm glad the video was helpful :)
Great vid
Thanks friend :)
Overall ok, but I wish the fairing removal was a little bit more visible. As the camera wouldn’t show some parts.
I just did this for K&N filter, Healtech shift indicator, and Shogun no cut sliders. Only problem I ran into was the black plastic behind the front wheel that connects the 2 lower fairings together. It has 1 plastic rivet on either side and it seems that piece is supposed to latch into the top portion but I have a millimeter gap.
Thx for the vid. Having just bought this bike I'm looking for any info I can find, and this helped me understand how to remove the fairings without breaking them. thx again
Ronald Chunca, I'm happy the video helped! for some reason there isn't allot of info on newer CBR's.
I noticed that, not sure why. It has to be a popular bike, it's the nicest bike my local motorcycle dealer had, imo. Thx again bro
My fairings already all broke n in spots . Totaled in shipping tire to one side. I think forks ok . Just loosen and readjust I hope. It fell on its side. And broke handle bar. So remove plastic will be easier. Lol. I’m still going to run with the plastic. Just chipped in corners weird. Here and there . I see front end shifted twisted not bent. Hope loosen and readjusted and mic it out. True it up wish me luck.
Thanks
It was a good video but I couldn’t see some of the footage because the camera position.
Yeah, I agree, but I did my best. I'm not a pro UA-camr ;)
this video was very helpful thank you is your bike a 2013?
Seth Anderson, it's 2014 but should be the same as 2013.
does anyone have the wiring diagram for this bike (2013) I can't find it anywhere
Great video. Can someone provide links to buy the tools used?
R u special needs?? Not many tools involved
I bought LED glow kit for those very same 2013 600rr and idk how to start lol😂
Hi i have a 2013 and i can not get the belly pan off even though all the bolts are out if you could help i would appreciate it
The belly pan is actually the easier part.
Just get the screws on each side that hold the belly pan to the mid fairing.
Sweep it out from beneath the bike.
CBR600RR is a nightmare for DIY enthusiasts. It's like they designed it to torture us with its tight spaces. Suzuki GSX-R is a dream come true compared to this.
But I can't help myself. I have a crush on this bike. Every time I see one, I lose my mind and buy it. Then I regret it when I try to fix it. I'm stuck in a vicious cycle. LOL.
Have you install frame slider to your bike before i have a 2017 abs and i cant install frame sliders any idea let me know thanks.
David Vang, I haven't fitted frame sliders but I know that most of the frame sliders are ones that you need to make a hole in the fairing.
Look for "no cut sliders" on eBay.
Tal Kabessa i have the no cut sliders but seems like the abs controls has a bar that is holding the abs controls in its place i have post up a video to show if anyone have an idea to help.
David Vang, as I haven't fitted frames sliders myself, I wouldn't want to mislead you.
Sorry that I can't help.
Tal Kabessa no problems at all thanks ride safe
David Vang, sure thing. You too brother
I’m trying to find how those clips work on a 2011 model - I don’t want to figure it out after breaking it 😳
The plastic rivet things are push-pins.
Push the center of them in all the way and then pull out the body of the pin.
Regarding the fairing itself, I Show how to pull it out correctly without breaking anything.
I was in your position exactly lol
Tal Kabessa Thank you. I thought those clips into the tank were different on the 2013 on model ... are they the same on yours as on the 2011 model then?
Tal Kabessa I just watched it again - you describe the movement for upto 2012. I’ll have a go after Christmas - all just to properly route the wires on a gear indicator 😀
WTF no front cowl???
Hey good video but cant see in detail where you unscrewed side fairings. Can u give me your email or #. Thanks
Your camera not still not focus real thing 👎
