Saying limited supply = high price is basically referencing the law of Supply and Demand but completely ignoring the Demand side.
I think he's smart enough to know that much but he wasn't smart enough to forgo short term gain for long term stability. Making 10000% annual returns for 0.1 seconds and then going broke isn't very smart.

USD Coin is actually a pretty decent stablecoin, in my experience. I use it over Tether because I get interest from USDC where Tether has no such benefit.
I've seen many ideas for a stable coin and so far, they've all been terrible.

Some people start believing their own lies. They subscribe to the idea that "if you repeat the like enough, it becomes the truth".
That hasn't worked in history ever. Maybe for a short term but eventually people get uninterested and they will look back and clearly see through the lies.
I'm not even talking about seeing through narratives far into the future in a historical analysis. I'm talking about even 6 months in the future. Or closer to 6 weeks.

i get the whole youtube history documentary style videos, but sometimes they piss me off when you see the main subject of the videos now being mature adults who have long moved past the drama (obviously not the guy that's talked about in this video), and yet they will see these videos out lining every part of their past, years and decades after the "incidents", if anything it would discourage me to try and become a better human if people are still going to bring up my past because they need to create weekly videos for money. Call me what you want, but not looking at both sides of this argument would make me a fool.

Eh? It's well known that a lot of people in leadership positions at these companies are sociopaths. Remember, google at one point removed a line in their mission statement that basically said 'we will not be evil'. The fact that he's an ex and got fired is more of a positive.
This pattern is common in IT industry, the best programmers get promoted to leadership roles without consideration for their people management skills.

Basically, I think this is right, what he did with his crypto was basically that scene from The Simpsons where they go to Itchy & Scratchy Land and the cashier asks Homer if he would like to purchase "Itchy & Scratch money, it's like regular money but more fun", he then asks for $1500s worth, gets it & then when he goes inside the theme park EVERY shop says "Does not accept Itchy & Scratchy money, only US dollars here".

Some? The only “long term” success story I’ve heard of is Bitcoin thus far. The words “long term” are in quotes of course, because Bitcoin has only been around since 2009.
How many other cryptocurrencies would you guesstimate are also long term successes, and how long have they been around? Have any countries adopted any of them as legal tender, as El Salvador did with Bitcoin?

I bought into TechLead especially when he discussed his wife leaving him for Japan with his son. Now I'm 100% sure whatever happened, she was more than justified leaving him and the one thing I'd like to hear from TechLead drama is his ex-wife's side of the story why she left him.

So I believed him when he discussed his wife, because I made the mistake of equating his intelligence with him managing his romantic relationships. In the end he's some kind of narcissist and I have no doubt that tweet about how he interviewed women at Google is similar to how he treated his wife.
The guy to me seems potentially dangerous he's intelligent with a chip on his shoulder. When I think of TechLead I think of the clip from Coffee that showed the poor African guy that bought into his scam and bought his tokens. His scam had real life consequences and negatively affected hundreds of people's lives.

I work in IT for a really big company with a very corporate culture and this dude's entire personality seems defined by this weird corporate "never criticize, highlight opportunities" mindset. I'm pretty sure that's why he feels justified in what he's doing, because in his mind, getting openly criticized instead of gently reminded of what he SHOULD be doing is a horrible offense on par with or worse than false copyright strikes. It's truly bizarre to see 2010s/2020s corporate tech culture basically made manifest in a human being like this, but he also clearly thinks the rest of the world has to abide by these arbitrary norms and tries to use that as a shield to justify outright swindling people out of their money and harassing/doxxing people. @@agentwesker5237 it's always been fairly competitive - if you're actively looking for work I would suggest to shoot for something full time that either matches or is maybe even a touch below your current experience. Once you're hired on they're usually looking for people who are willing to settle in for a career at the place because right now it's just a revolving door of people who come on for 6-12 months until something else comes along. Once you're there, spend that first 6 months grinding your ass off and establishing yourself at the company and then start to see what's available in terms of upward mobility. Or find something else better somewhere else. I don't like the revolving door but I also can't really fault people for not wanting to find something better now vs having to wait years for a promotion at a given company. Also it depends on what you're looking to do. I know developer work is extremely crowded but I work on the cloud infrastructure and security side and there's a billion openings for stuff in this.
Whenever somebody talks about something "going to the moon" I can't help but think that half the time the moon is below the horizon..

What’s the context?
I always viewed his content "tongue in cheek" and as humor. He stays in character. Then again, I thought Breaking Bad was a dark comedy, and some on UA-cam vigorously have disagreed, thinking that Walter White is pure evil. It's all in the eye of the beholder. But copyright strikes that are uncalled for are uncool, that's for sure.

His content might seem sarcasm, but he is actually realist imo. The software industry has a lot of crazy things behind the scenes and, in a way, he exposed it. I think people should hate the message (if they disagree with) and not the messenger. For context, it was a franchised Starbucks location, and I'm trans and don't pass, so I was the most obvious diversity hire there. Just so you know, TL violated Section 512(f) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act when he had UA-cam take the video down. Section 512(f) allows you, as the victim of his misrepresentation, to seek compensation. This includes attorney fees. Unfortunately UA-cam is immune to such action though.
UA-cam has to give them the ability to dmca claim. That doesn't mean they're liable for it. That's TLs responsibility. If you feel like he did it to be an ass then you can sue him. There's no reason to go after UA-cam.

I've actually seen this dude, surprisingly, unlike a lot of people covered in these types of videos. The only thing I remember techlead saying was that if you want to be a software engineer, then you will be poor because once you become a manager you don't code anymore and instead just tell others what to code, so you won't ever be a manager if you just code like you might have a passion for.

And you aren't even giving UA-cam the info, you have to give it to the person who put the claim on you. There's been more than one time where a UA-camr has been falsely claimed and couldn't fight it because they knew the person who claimed them had bad intentions and just wanted their info. It's a dumb system, and they could easily come up with something better, but they won't because they're too cheap to change it now.

All UA-cam want to do is give the people claiming or refuting the info so they can sue each other and argue and UA-cam can continue making money. They know the system is broken but if they are the people with personal info and in between two party’s that puts them exactly where I stated before, too involved. I don’t agree with it but I also see that it’s a strange system, they only put it in place so they can make sure any issues aren’t over their heads in the first place. It’s a predatory system for sure.

That’s an excellent point. I used to have a UA-cam channel myself (different acct than this one), and I am a woman who lives alone. I was very careful to remain anonymous (only my voice with my commentary was publicly shared - never my face - and of courseI never provided any identifiable details about myself). I can’t believe how easy it would be for a stalker to find out exactly who I was and where I lived by simply making a copyright claim against my channel. That’s legit terrifying.
I don’t have any doubts that very tragic/violent incidents have already come from the abuse of this system, and it’s simply not being openly reported about. We are kept from so much knowledge/news.

When some time goes by and nothing happens, people then wonder if nothing is being done. Then suddenly there is an arrest and authorities claim that time was necessary to gather enough evidence to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. This happens all the time. I can certainly see how shell crypto accounts might be difficult to prove who they belong to. It could all be in bitcoin divided up between hundreds of cryptocurrency wallets and he’s just waiting for his opportunity to convert it into money he can actually spend. I’m sure some government agency is also waiting for that too. Crypto scams are probably something that they wouldn’t want to publicly acknowledge. Once he moves the money into a personal account the paper trail is there. He would also need to think he’s gotten away with it before he makes such a move.

My problem with products like Füm are that they claim to be about getting rid of your dependency but they have a financial incentive to just replace it with their own dependency instead of actually caring about the consumer managing addiction.
