Leon Draisaitl Is The Clear Front Runner For The Hart Trophy...

- Leon Draisaitl has been an absolute stud this year and in my opinion, he is the clear front runner for the Hart Trophy.... but it is close and I mean very close! In this video I give my reasons as to why I think he should win The Hart!
What do you guys think? Drop a comment down below as I read every single one. Do you think he should win the Hart Trophy, or is he even a finalist? Let me hear it.
Thanks again guys for everything. We'll get to 10K subs one day.
How about that insane pass he had the other day against Vancouver ...backhand from beside his own net, to the centre line, perfect pass for Hyman who went in to score.
Yep that was a ringer. Love his passes..love davo but drai usually brings more.spice 😊
The guy is the best passer in the league... AND he's leading the league in goals. When is the last time that happened? Easy choice for MVP so far this year.
I’m for Leon and hope he does get the Heart Trophy even though I’m not a Oilers fan .I watch him play often
Hart
I'm not sure he plays "better" when McDavid is out. He definitely steps up for the team, and plays _harder_ in a way that might not be sustainable long term. It's also a good chance to get some of the spotlight on himself, and there's nothing wrong with that.
I love both mak and helly but drai is definitely the choice for the hart. As long as he keeps it up theres no way he doesn’t win. The games without mcdavid just prove it even more. Helly is a big part of that jets team but they have everyone stepping up while drai has been carrying the oilers and living up to that contract. Also drai>matheww all day
Leon was the best junior player in his draft. Thank you Florida and Buffalo.
Draisaitl should win the Hart.
It`s not only that. Draisaitl is carrying the Oil right now. All season, on both ends of the ice.
He found some chemistry with Podkolzin, but no way that Pod is anyhow elite and he would be better fitted to a 3rd line more grinding style role.
Advanced stats showing Drai is finally good on both ends of the ice. He plays - and wins - most of the important faceoffs.
Yes, he`s getting a bit better matchups with MCD, but MCD has Hyman and RNH next to him, that`s way better wings than Drai has.
He looked good with Holloway over stretches last year, and with the year Holloway has it was a mistake to let him go.
Doing what Leon does is impressive. Doing it with Podkolzin and Arvidsson as linemates, is MVP.
Helle and MacK also playing amazing seasons, so whoever wins it has earned it.
I do not see a clear favorite, but Drai plays his best hockey so far. And it`s not that he`s coming of a bad basis, with basically 6 100 pts seasons (Covid shortend included, he had 84 in 56 games, well above 100 if he could have played 80 games).
You’ve both won my heart
@@RipCityStep who's both lol?
@ Drai and the Doctor Robotnik looking bloke in this video
One thing that Leon needs to work on is scoring on empty nets. The reason he's not the points leader is that he is basically an empty net hobo
Heart Trophy is in L. Draisaitl’s back pocket 🥊
Hart
my first tought was to say MacKinnon will give him a good fight for it but man Cale Makar may seriously be in the mix by the end of the year.
I still think Hughes probably wins the MVP if the Canucks make the playoffs, but that could be a pretty big "if." Drai has put himself in good position and at this point I think he's just as deserving, so I hope he ends up with his 2nd Hart trophy.
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
True skinner.
I’ve been begging for the oilers to keep mcdavo and Leon to be star centers on their own lines. Last year the mcdavid Hyman McLeod line was insane and Draisitl Broberg Holloway linewas just lacking motivated wings. Now knobby wants to mess with the areas not suffering and ignoring how draisitl just needs support not just told “ save the second line please” while suffering
Well if you expect broberg, who is a defensive player, to play wing, what do you expect?
Holloway didnt spend the majority of time withndraisaitl..only a bit morenin playoffs but nearly didnt play as much. Foegele played there more. Kane too.
I think the heart deserves to go to a player on a bad team carrying them to possible contention not a star player on a Stanley cup contender.
Tough to call someone the teams mvp when the team as a whole is doing good I’d rather see someone from a underdog team with no expectations make a huge difference and win the heart
Bad teams arent in contension..bro..
@@dana102083 you ever watch hockey? 2018/2019 season St. Louis blues last in league before trade deadline ended with a Stanley cup. Look at werenski playing a hell of a season on Columbus carrying as a defence. Or even Wolf on Calgary they have no point per game players but wolf been carrying them into contention as a goalie.
Start watching a bit of hockey before trying to be rude in comments
Sorry the guy in Winnipeg is the front runner and I'm an oilers fan
Helle is playing insane and he made a case. 30w in 39 games, 2 GAA and .926 - he is so good.
No way haha - WPG is the top offensive team in the league, has *22* wins by 3 or more goals, and simply haven't needed Hellebuyck to be that good - he is MOP material but not remotely close to MVP given how they woulf almost certainly still be an elite team with an average starter goalie in replacement... they could swap his GSAx with an avg hypothetical high-volume starter and would still be 4th or 5th in goal differential... Hellebuyck shouldn't be MVP over Leon or perhaps even moreso over Quinn Hughes
Hahahahaha..... Hughes by a landslide.
Unless MacKinnon scores 10+ points more than Drai I think he’ll get it.
I think they’ll be about tied.
@TheBunnysTrueFan MacK is playing great, but he has way better linemates. Playing with Makar and Rantanen helps, Drai would have more points if he had guys next to him that could produce. Podkolzin has 19 and Arvidsson 16 pts.
@@saschaganser9671 well now one of his line mates left, but he still has a decent in necas. Yeah I think drai is better but I think if one has more it will be like kuch and Mack last year.
@TheBunnysTrueFan Fully agree, and both just play great. Even Kuch, he would have earned it last year.
@@saschaganser9671 Yeah I honestly think it could have gone either way last year, same with this one.
Ya but can he score empty netters at an elite level? 🤦🏾♂️
hello
Obviously, the player on the team with a generational player is the most valuable player to their team in the league.
he's been good but Hughes is more important to his team, and should be way ahead
More important or maybe he is the only guy on the team that actually produces so Canucks fan in some weird way think that makes Hughes the front runner for heart loool. Their record backs up your statement also LMFAO ,come on pal come to reality land!!
@ Edmonton would be fine without draisaitl. Canucks would be dead last without Hughes. If the Canucks find a way into the playoffs, he deserves it. I think regardless the finalists will be all Canadian: hellebyuck, drai, Hughes.
Clear front runner?? 🤔Huh? Kucherov? Mackinnon? Hughes? Makar? Sh** even Marner? Lol I would definitely not say he's a clear front runner lol
Hellebuyck too
Toronto and vancouver dont count and neither do Russians.. whats left?.clearly a front runner :p
That backhanded "sauce" pass that everyone raves about, I don't think it's as impressive as everyone says it is.
I think it's INSANELY impressive because players have trouble making that type of pass on their forehand let alone on a backhand. Draisaitl does it with ease and incredible accuracy. 😊
If Hughes doesn't win it I riot
clearly you havent seen how important quinn hughes is to the canucks
yeah but i dont think important players on non cup contender teams matter as much. Like 2 seasons ago where Karlsson had over 100 points as a dman on the sharks was one of the most impressive things ive seen, but im not even sure if he was even in the conversation
*league mvp
Canucks fans 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Very important that is why he is bouncing end of season ,taking that highway out of the city named '' Mark Messier way '' loool
Hard to give the hart to a player on a non playoff team😂
Everybody knows Conor Garland is the real MVP
Only cuz you like losers
