WHO ARE YOUR TOP 5 or 10 for the 2025 NHL Draft???
@ Looks look! Definitely what most rankings have as their top 5.
@ He's been looking great all season long and not slowing down! I'm going to see him live in a couple of days so I'm looking forward to a strong game again!
@ Yeah I thought Frondell looked really good at the U19 Challenge and playing better in Sweden lately. He's a younger player and I think he has some upside. Hensler has been a favorite of mine since last year when I watched him a lot with the NTDP. I think there's some untapped potential there. I just wish he was more confident with the puck and rushed it more often.
@DarrenTy2
I thought Hensler was very unimpressive in the juniors tournament. Very mediocre puck mover which I would not spend an early pick on hoping to develop.
1. Schaefer
2. Hagens
3. Martone
4. Misa
5. Desnoyers (I'm in the Desnoyers fan club too)
My rankings are:
1. Schaefer- Two way defender that can skate well. Just needs to stay healthy in order to solidify the top spot.
2. Misa- Really fast skater with a well-rounded offensive skillset. I would compare him to Mikko Rantanen.
3. Hagens- Hasn't proven enough to take the top 2 spots but I like his playmaking and 200-ft game. Needs to work on his finishing ability.
4. Martone- Everything is there BUT the skating. Has the mold of a power forward, similar of a Corey Perry.
5. Frondell- After a slow start to the season, Frondell has definitely found his game. Desnoyers does make sense here but I like Frondell's skating better. Frondell is a solid two-way forward with skill and physicality.
6. Desnoyers- Same player as Frondell except his skating is worse. But its great to see that the QMJHL is producing good prospects.
7. Eklund- Same type of player as his brother except the defense is more raw than his offense. Displays the same speed and skill as brother William.
8. Smith- I value defense more than offense which is why McQueen isn't ranked here. I like Smith's defense and skating, though there is room for improvement offensively.
9. Spence- Same type of player as Smith but he's a forward. I value defense over forwards. Spence is raw offensively but there's a lot of potential defensively and he also is a really great skater. I had this kid in my top 5 for most of last year.
10. McQueen- This player gives me Kirby Dach vibes. Big yet rangy center and is a threat offensively. But consistency is McQueen's main downfall. Also we don't know how well he will do after his recovery.
McQueen is more Blake Wheeler than dach
This is great stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Spence is not on that level. His pace is not good enough and away from puck play is not great. I have him outside the top 20. Sneaky offensive game albeit. Could almost guarantee Bear gets picked before him.
To be honest I agree with you , I think Misa has a higher potential then hagens. I've seen some scouting reports comparing Hagens to Jack Hughes. During hughes draft year some scouts were calling him a generational skater. Hagens skating ability is not on hughes level and I don't see him being a game breaker at the highest level.
Yeah, Hagens hasn't taken that monster jump that a 1st overall prospect should have, so I'm still hesitant to rank him there just yet!
@@nhldraftproswell said misa is better
Hagens also play with Leonard and Perreault which helps A LOT, while Misa is carrying his team on his shoulders !
Misa
Schaefer
Frondell
Bear
Hagens
Eklund
Mortone
Mrtka
Carboneau
Desyonyers
Sleeper picks: Pebezal, Boelius
Hagens gonna be a star!
yeah if Blackhawks get 1st or 2nd pick, I want Misa. Say something next time about his success in the faceoff circle.
YES! Will do!
1. Hagens
2. Schaefer
3. Misa
4. Frondell
5.Smith
Best ranking I’ve seen. But as a flyer fan i hope other gms don’t see what I see in Jackson smith. A 6’3 dman that can skate like that and play defense is special.
Really hope the Preds get Misa or Hagens. Need a star prospect at the center position....
Can't go wrong with either or those 2 for sure!
Michael Misa is only going to look better now that Igor Chernyshov is healthy and in his line. They look great so far through 2 games together.
Going to watch Saginaw live on Wednesday. Can't wait!
What are your thoughts on Jakob Ihs-Wozniak? I know a lot of people were high on him to start the season but I haven’t heard much talk about him as of late.
He started the season off slow, but lately has been on a tear. I have him in my Top 32 and may climb up the rankings as the season progresses!
he would be just inside the top 20 for me
Misa to the Hawks please
I would like to see more seventies in San Jose. Matt Schaefer to the Hawks.
As everyone im listening i feel like desnoyers is a younger version of nick suzuki . Wath do you think about that?
Did you see Frondell's game on Jan 27th, 2G 2A in HA, hes looking like hes back
Kid has been a monster the past month!
Still crazy Misa wasnt on the world juniors team lol
Yeah...weird!
What about Ben Kindel? Why isn't he in the top 16?
Putting up some monster numbers in the WHL, but is on the smaller size (5'10" is considered small by NHL standards) and some off puck play questions. Let's revisit this in a month!
I’m hoping that with SJ now having Dallas’ draft pick, Kindel might be someone who is still available when the Sharks draft again in round one.
Jakob Ihs-Wozniak has 9g 9a +16 in last ten games in sweden u20
He's in my Top 32! Looked good at U19 Challenge too!
im interested to see where wozniak lands.. hes got a 5-nation and the U18 to showcase himself..
Yup! Played well at U19 Challenge, but definitely more hockey to showcase his talents.
Do you see Schaefer not getting picked number one because of the injury?
No...broken clavicle should not have long term effects on his game, but lack of eye test because of so few games played may cause a drop. But biggest thing is what team lands the first overall pick at lottery.
Where is Kindel?
Rising all the time! Let's revisit this in a month!
Thoughts on Kashawn Aitcheson?
@@gavinmarion91 so underrated complete stud
order of defenders:
1. Schaefer
2. Smith
3. Aitcheson
4. Hensler
5. Mrtka
Really good, plus has an edge to his game! Gotta love to see that in a prospect. Question is...offensive upside.
interesting fact ChatGPT cited your video when asked "who is the top prospect in the 2025 nhl draft"
That's unreal! Thanks for sharing!
Misa is more well-rounded. Is there a player that is produced like him in the OHL and has not succeeded?
Maybe Wright....he's still young tho. But I think Misa has more upside and a higher ceiling than him.
@nhldraftpros
Incomparable draft years, Wright was producing at 1.5 pts/g versus Misa at 2 pts/g. That's a dramatic difference.
@ True, but Wright was hyped and considered a well-rounded player and was supposed to push for 1st overall.
Ryabkin the best player nhl draft 2025
Martone
Controversial opinion...Zonnon > Carbonneau
Not controversial at all! Billy Zee is making some noise in the Q lately!
#1...Go Sharks!
#1...go.blackhawks.big.deal.
I'm really sruggling to understand why so many people have Brady Martin in th top 20, I just don't see anything more than a mid 20's pick
Not too deep of a draft and I think he's a safer pick than some other prospects out there.
#2 Hagens? He's been playing better since WJC
He has! But Misa is doing next level things in the OHL! And he should have been invited to Team Canada WJC tryouts.
@@nhldraftpros yeah misa was the biggest snub for team canada for sure
Not one player from the MHL????
Not a strong draft class coming out of the MHL this year. Sorry.
