People don't understand how to play Fracture and that's why they hate it. There are 4 freaking orbs on that map. Take advantage of it, lol. I grabbed 1 or 2 orbs each round. it's crazy.

I don’t think that Raze and Jett will actually get nerfs, I think the’ve realized the other duelests are just so bad that major reworks or buffs are required for a healthier meta. Maybe they’re finally giving neon a buff to her wall or stun that makes them actually good. And maybe they’re gonna make iso not dogshit!

I love Iso’s voice and character design so I would like him to have more than two abilities. His wall is the most useless thing in the game atm and his ult has the usefulness of a normal ability.

I'm not a duelist player, but I would rather have bigger buffs to Phoenix, Neon, Iso, then having smaller buffs to them and nerf to Jett and Raze. I think Riot is scared of buffing agents, because they may become OP. Right now I'm bored, because agents I want to play aren't very good and they aren't buffing them, just nerfs to good agents.
If they nerf raze they can’t touch satchels, it kills the identity of the character lmao. Maybe a price change if anything

They gotta stop nerfing agents and just buff the ones that have low pick rate. As they did a while ago, they buffed the Ares so much that everybody was running it instead of buying the vandal, for just a while we had that change, and they already nerfed it next patch. *Conclusion : it is fine if they are over buffing, they can always nerf it back/change it a bit, they need to do this with agents as well.*

Hard agree, this map pool is probably the worst I've played ever since starting in Beta. Now, there is obviously some personal preference involved; I absolutely loathe Icebox and Breeze, Split is kinda meh for me and I really really like Sunset, but it is crazy how this map pool is universally hated in all levels of play.
I also sorely miss Haven bc I think it is the absolute best map this game has to offer, and the uniqueness of fracture and pearl put some spice into the previous map pools. Hopefully (for me), all of these 3 maps make a return.
With the new map coming next month, if they add all 3 back and take Sunset, Icebox and Breeze out there would be 8 maps in the pool instead of the usual 7, which I am actually not opposed against. More chances for people to have their favourite map in the pool.

Honestly raze and jett are in the best spot they could be in imo. Every other duelist just sucks in comparison. So these other agents need buffs. Iso especially.
Yoru is good just 1no one plays him well or want to put in the time 2 the meta isn't in his favor cuz he is a little slower at entries but can out play everyone

A Raze double satcheling and turning 90 degrees midjump whilst flying at 400% movement speed to one-tap with a shotgun or land behind you with a rifle in hand is not okay. Who else comes even CLOSE to having movement like this? Not only that, but such movement and air strafing doesnt belong in a "tactical fps with precise gunplay". Thats like giving someone that ability to parkour on walls and roll through holes in walls in rainbow six siege or something wacky like that xD

Sunset is not that bad a map and def not as bad as Icebox/Sunset. Val players just hate to try new things.
I used to think sunset was bad. After a while sunset isnt even bad imo. The worst map in the game has got to be breeze and icebox.

I still don't understand the logic behind taking maps away from rotation, like how does that help or do anything? It just limits the variety of maps people play on which is the shittiest feeling when you're left with maps like Breeze and/or Fracture and take away community favorites like Haven it just doesn't make sense.
If its argued that they're being taken out because they're implementing changes then we've had maps that we're taken out for months with them returning with 0 to absolutely fuckall changes (Split and Bind). Also the biggest map changes we've had were maps that are currently in rotation (Lotus and Breeze). So I don't see the point nor value in taking out maps at all from the rotation.
The only reason I could think of is because of Esports reasons, they have to keep in rotation 7-8 maps so teams can have equal maps to pick and ban which is completely and utter bullshit because 99% of the people who play this game are not professionals holy fucking shit.
Its also for new players so they dont have to learn to many maps
Iirc, the reason they rotate maps is for a mixture of new players not getting overwhelmed and wanting a consistent map pool for competitive (not specifically pro play)
As they release more and more maps the necessity for a map pool only grows larger, when there are 20 maps and sova has to remember lineups for all of them it seems a bit much
People talking about not getting overwhelmed by 10 maps but there are 24 agents with 4 different abilities to learn. It is not that overwhelming in my opinion. They should just have options to queue certain categories of maps like CSGO. Maybe not in competitive because it may make queue times really long though.
@@underrated_fishy756 that's a bit different from maps since every agent has a pretty low skill entry to play them, and in lower elo where new players usually are all they see are the base couple agents and they learn the rest of the agents as they unlock it

imo. they need to do something to iso's ult. it doesnt give him an advantage. its a fair 1v1. for a 7 points ult i feel like it needs a major rework.
Just give my man that shield for free in ult and it should be good enough ig. So enemies can't one tap you. if they body shot + strafe + hs then it's your fault.

Riot should really learn how to balance things properly. Too long had they have the reputation of over buffing/nerfing.

honestly i dont think jett needs a nerf i think the main reason that she is popular in ranked is because she is easy to play relative to raze and maybe yoru whihc are the competition and was meta for so long that people just continue to play jett i think she is in a good spot now

Anything to buff ma boi Iso. He is suffering from the League problem, as I call it. Strong on paper, but its just that movement is so rampant and oppressive, any dueslist who cannot do that just sucks.
I don’t understand the idea of map rotations anyway. I’m a casual player and only recently started playing again, since the last time I played before this, I remember pearl being a common map, and now I guess it’s just gone until further notice?

I really enjoy valorant as a game but because of this same map pool i stopped playing for a few months already its frustrating how they center the map pool around competitive
honestly id say that agents need to be focused on more especially the least picked ones
for iso i would really like a rework where he gets flashes instead of a wall and his ult is changed to so that he can use his new improved abilities in his ult and he gets healed to full hp after winning his duel if he was low and i would suggest that his opponent hp is the same as it was before he ulted them. his double tap orb thing should be removed and instead make it so that when he gets a kill his shield is automatically activated and i think his vulnerable should be spiced up a bit by increasing the duration and giving it a decay effect instead of vulnerability similar to clove's Q ability
for chamber id say he should be given 2 trips back with universal range because his trips arent invisible like cypher trips which have universal range making him the strongest sentinel atm and it would make sense to give this change to chamber since he isnt really a sentinel and his main problem was his 2 tps which have been removed
for harbor and astra id say give them both good buffs like give astra 5 stars back with lower cooldowns but not like the original ones and also decrease the star cooldown
for harbour increase the duration of his smokes and give his ult a rework

Yeah, Riot is actually doing a cautious thing with the updates (maybe not viper; rip) but for not too much of a change to happen while the competitive scene is ongoing. Waiting for Masters to finish is better. Who knows, maybe riot is testing something and maybe your feedbacks would be noticed, except for your Replay System, riot has blocked those words in their system.
Imo, the other duelists other than Jett/Raze is lacking things to win fights.
Yoru/ISO is more like initiator imo. While neon needs time to master.
Idk what changes would come(by buffing others or nerfing those 2), but I hope they make other duelists viable.
Remove raze mobility from satchels
A more realistic update to maps is just to rotate them more often. Maybe 1 map per act or major tournament and keep them all in modes outside of Unrated and Competitive. No one should expect or wish for the deletion of maps (Breeze) no matter how much you hate them. I don't think any game has ever done that unless it's some kind of community made map.
What's left of raze and jett to be nerfed or any of the agents for that matter? Like how about a buff to the og agents - Brimstone, Sage, Phoenix? Anyone with me here?

I'm afraid riot will go the wrong way about the agent balancing. As I see it, Jett and Raze are NOT in need of massive nerfs anymore. If anything, what they need is MORE COMPETITION within the role. I am confident that Neon, with the right buffs, would compete with the two dive duelists. And while Yoru is quite a niche pick, I believe that buffing his tps, the ability which makes him the only duelist that has access to global mobility, will secure him a spot in current meta comps, especially in larger maps like breeze. However, Iso, Reyna and Phoenix will NEVER HAVE A CHANCE to be meta (in pro play)- let's just accept this. I'm okay with having ranked agents like them in the game but if riot intends to "buff" them for them to be pro-competitive, please just leave them as they are right now. Tiptoeing around agents like them won't fix the problem. They need rework, not just negligible buffs.
And another thing I would suggest is that after the duelist class gets its long overdue change, the sentinel class should come right after. This is a must especially when riot's objective is to bolster a stronger and more diverse duelist class. Sage, Deadlock, and Chamber all need to be better at their job. The following abilities: Chamber's tp,, Sage's heal, and Deadlock's sonic sensor are in desperate need of changes- if changes to a single ability in their kit won't be sufficient, then a change to their entire kit must be implemented.

Me personally, I hate how riot has introduced trash duellists, and then responded by nerfing the previously balanced ones rather than buffing (majorly) the trash ones. It just means util becomes less and less important.

RAZE and JETT don't need nerfs atm just buff or release good movement "ENTRY duelists" like they are the only fast entry options besides neon but she can only move faster for a short time which u are easy to shoot and raze can go farther in less time + better abillities
I doubt jett and raze will get changes, they're both strong sure, but they're balanced. The other duelists are just weak and should get buffs.
Neon is a really great agent. I was neon main since I started playing this game. Sadly I gave up on her, cuz I'm not great at movement. Still loving playing her tho

imo yoru has a bit of an overloaded kit, i dont think they will change him, purely because he requires an extreme amount of mastery to be viable, and a decent amount of mastery to get value out of his overloaded kit

i think they are going to remove one of razes satchels. imo nerfing good agents doesnt always work because then how the fuck are you gonna take site?
If they are going to buff yoru they cant touch the speed at which he teleports away bc that wiuld be broken, I also think that buffing the speed he pulls out hos gun would make him a more boring agent to play w/ against bc its one if the main reasons for the high risk high reward factor that makes him fun and requires mastery
So here is what i would buff for yoru.
The teleport should last longer.
Right now the yoru tp is great for fast rotations on defence but only if the enemys like to rush a lot. Yoru struggles againsts slow defaults as he has to reset to really passive positions in order to reset his gatecrash at the opposite site so having a longer tp duration will be strong but only in those certain scenarios which will just make yoru less restrictive and honestly more fun yet not be broken.
2nd buff for yoru is to increase
1. the physical speed and
2.rotational speed of his gatecrash as it moves around the map
One of the major weaknesses of yoru is that unlike other duelists who can instantly
Man, as a yoru main, i like the way he is now, niche? Yeah, but not broken good neither broken bad, if they give some minor buffs it's ok but i like how he is now, i hope they don't mess around too much with him if they do intend to change something
Reyna got high pick rates in mah lobbies but low frag rate 😔🌧️
My take, wether its hot or not:
Map pool should change either every act instead of episode, or after a competitive event such as masters and champions
Deadlock needs a buff, making her trips go off if the enemies are within a certain range wether they are making noise or not
Riot should consider buffing some duelists, because Raze and Jett are really in perfect spots. They are not overpowered, they just lack competition
Viper should get a minor buff, allowing her wall and orb to stay up for just a little longer as the nerf was pretty harsh, and her poision orb should be retrievable during rounds, not just the buy phase.
VERY HOT TAKE INCOMING!: Chamber should be given back his global TP (two anchors) and the next agent added to the game should be an agent that can counterplay chamber well in whatever way that might be.
Lotus B orb should be added back.
Haven should also get a B orb.

We need a banning system for casual and fix rotation for ranked. Then it will be more bareable.
There is a new map coming which makes the number of maps 11.
There are 7 maps in rotation so 4 should be rotated out.
Ascent and Lotus has been in the rotation since they came out. They should 100% go. It makes the rotation stale.
Also Split and Bind been in forever too.
That would make the map pool: Breeze, Fracture, Haven, Icebox, Pearl, Sunset, "Bastion".
Let's hope they establish a base-line of power throughout the agents, and not just nerf them, panicking if (when*) they overshoot. Jett and Raze are completely fine, they are just how duelists should be.
There has never been a game like this before where looking at half the roster makes me feel so unhappy.

It's hard to nerf Jett and Raze without touching the movement abilities, but changing those would really destroy the characters. They designed them to be able to dive into site, which is why they are strong. The other duelists weren't designed that way (Neon and Yoru are somewhat able to). I believe it's really a design problem that can't be fixed with number changes
This is the correct answer. Their ability to 'dive' is why they're popular in the game. Other people keep saying its the nade, jett smoke this or that. You can nerf the shit out of their non dive abilities but they'll still be picked. Riot has already tried this. People saying to remove one of the satchel are dumb af.
