Keep up the awesome videos man, and at some point if you get fed up and just want to mod yourself your weapon from the start, none of us will judge ;)
That was such a fun run to watch! Thank you for all the amazing videos, I've gotten into Brotato after watching them and have been really loving the game. It's definitely not my usual type of game, but it's incredibly accessible even though I typically really struggle with bullet hell type games.
@26:30 He's finally seeing the true power of Ethereal weapons. Getting both the axe AND flint is far better than just sticking to one. DPS=Atk spd x (%dmg + _f_ ), where _f_ = ((melee dmg x wpn scaling) + wpn dmg). Basically, your DPS is the area of a rectangle and the side lengths are attack speed and damage per hit. To maximize the area, you want a square; focusing on just attack speed or just %dmg means you've just got either a really long or really tall rectangle, which has a really small area compared to its perimeter. So to maximize your DPS, you need to have approximately equal investments in damage and attack speed.
I was starting to think you were pulling my leg with there being a Dex weapon. God damn that hits my heart hard, that was heartbreaking at the end. How can such a long run end so dissapointinly.
range is so slept on as a stat for these ethereal/thiefdagger type builds if you took the early +60 range levelup it would have been so easy to approach the crowds and then breeze through them dodge cap + range + consumable heal is the way to do it let's say 50 range over base makes you attack like 10% slower from the drawback time on the weapon, but instead of chipping away at 1-2 outer enemies on the blob you hit for 4 or 5.. now you can find a safe path in faster or clear spellcasters once you're in the blob, you chew through more of it with each attack (again you hit like 10+ instead of 3-5 at a time), so the blob dies fast enough for you to be safe. less chance to be hit as you pass through, because you're able to clear "enough" ahead of you. same idea as javelin/spear etc you make way more money when you can kill the whole blob and not die, instead of attacking faster with short range and only chipping away at the edges of the blob (which is risky and you're more likely to die trying to dodge all the spells/big chargers that get built up) the crazy character is meant to show what a difference this makes! people are too wrapped up in wanting minimum range to speed up attacks. wait until you find a hoodie instead.
Then when he got back to the shop he got 2 of the -hp items instead of the +HP items so he ended up with losing HP over time instead of increasing like he had previously said 🤦
You should check out Druid again now that you've unlocked Pearl. Druid in Endless with cursed Improved Tools and cursed Retromation Hoodie means you start getting thousands of damage % per wave even with no pruners, just Gardens and Flutes to clear. (pruner start is still best, transition lategame)
Cryptid is a good candidate for endless. It has money scaling with trees, and it has higher dodge cap to avoid losing to those high hit damage at the end.
I got the dextroyer on a run with one of the characters that made explosions even better, made the run super nuts. Too bad you haven't gotten it in a run yet!
I was genuinuely so happy and anxious to see your reaction to seeing it in the shop. It's such a stupidly broken and OP weapon. I hope you get to enjoy it soon and hopefully with a lot less visual mess on the screen.
my favourite character was lucky before abyssal terrors but now I LOVE lucky with these new pearls. i've played lucky once in dlc and it's ridiculous. recommend everyone to try it out
I got my loud run to wave 58, thief dagger build, swapped to 5 drills towards the end. I got the stone skin cursed for 2 hp per armor and the anvil to 5 armor a round. Also padding cursed dunno what the scaling was but I had like 40k material before my game lagged to oblivion and I died out of nowhere lol
Its not really a good thing since you need to hit milestones for the +1% Atk Speed, e.g. the red one needs 12. Meaning the more weapons you have, the more will have leftover kills at the end of the wave, which resets on the next wave
If dex didn't buy the shackles there was a good chance he could've survived, though I'm not sure about the enemy damage at the end but it looked like roughly 1300, with hp uncapped dex would've survived.
I kind of wonder if there is some kind of trigger for Dex's weapon. Like if it only spawns wave 50+ or something. Because the stats looked game breaking, and it wasn't even cursed.

I did make it to Wave 101 yesterday with hiking sticks and gun rifle, need to be really tanky tho. It was so laggy so you barely can dodge properly
