Linebug - To Sweden (Live in Alte Kino, Lychen)

The Danish tv-show “Matador” is our absolute favourite show, and every Christmas we watch all 24 of the wonderful episodes. We are such fans of this show, that we actually made a tribute-song to a very special episode: “Episode 18: Hr. Stein”.
In October of 1943, the Danish jews were ordered captured and deported to Germany. The Jewish man Herr Stein desperately needs a place to hide for the night and find a way to escape to Sweden. He finds help through the most unexpected person imaginable: the glamurous and rather selfish Maude.
The episode is a testimony to the worst and certainly very best in humans, and we hope we captured the essense of the feeling. The clip is shot at a concert in the beauiful “Old Kino” in Lychen.
