Why did he go to Northen Colorado? Surely there had to be major programs recruiting him. A 4time State Champion in NJ is going to Penn State, Iowa, Ohio State, etc.
@@NJ187 I went to high school with him, I wondered the same thing when I interviewed him for the school newspaper. He told me that it was to represent our home town and go to a program that actually cared about him and not some wrestling factory.
Isn't he wrestling a teammate of another 4 timer? I swear I watched the video of a guy with a yellow singlet in Colorado won 4 state title, I am be wrong, but this was a good match
It is not how good he is now, that amazes people, it is that he was so good his freshman year, this almost never happens. Then again, college IS a different thing. One thing for sure, he will NOT in all likelihood pin anyone in the finals (IF he makes the finals) at the National tournament in college. Just an entirely different thing. It will be fun to watch him in college, that is for sure.
Where was he unsportsmanlike? I’m just curious. He has a right to celebrate when he wins his 4th state title, and him coming out of his stance and bouncing around is to bait his opponent to attack
No matter where he wld go it may not matter. No Colorado wrestler can match with a guy from Western Pa, Ohio, Iowa, or Oklahoma. Thats where the best wrestlers tend to come from.
@@quintoy78 yeah Minnestoa too is in the top 5 states. My bad I forgot one. This kid is legit tho still. Im not doubting and hope he is great in college. Tired of those same states always kicking ass.
Coby Johns, that's why he went out of the state to wrestle the best competitors this past year. Including d1 and International. You're going to fault the guy for living in Colorado?
the amount of work and dedication it takes to win four state titles is more than most people can even imagine. Upon first glance, sure it looks cocky, but that one hand raise, that fourth state title, that is the result of a lifetime of hard work, commitment, and passion. I think he has earned the right to bathe in the moment's glory.
am I the only one mesmerized by the clock lights in the background
Yeah that's wild. I didn't notice that till I read ur comment.
He will be a great college wrestler 😀
J. Huff Humble he almost looks good for mma! Cejudo type

Jmichael Isbell spencer lee got pinned
@@larwyn1567 Not the national finals...
Bo Nickal pinned his opponent, Myles Martin, whatchu mean. And Kyven Gadson pinned Kyle Snyder in Snyder's Freshman year of college in the finals.
Well I might have not been a pin but, he did kind of kick Woods’s ass.
What are those knee pads call d the long white one
the brand is called cumulus they make really good custom knee pads
Basketball Knee sleeves, McDavid also has some good ones.
Great wrestler. Fast as lightning.
Low level of sportsmanship.

you gotta cut him some slack though, he just won his fourth state title. Not everybody wins four state titles for high school wrestling.
2:39 inside trip for the fall
If he would’ve hit an inside trip at 2:35. In perfect position.
He pulled off the inside trip when it mattered most tho!
Hes going to be great why that college though idk if those coaches can coach him to greatness

What’s wrong with that, there is no problem as long as ur humble, it’s alright to celebrate a win, especially a state title win, that’s huge.

Coby Johns- Good point. Not impressed in California.
Gilbert Mendez well he won Flo Wrestling’s who’s #1 by beating a California kid and has won Doc Buchanan which is in California so you’re wrong.
He just won freestyle senior nationals. Still not impressed in California?
