I (17 F) was never, ever taught how to wash myself or take care of my hygiene. I literally didn’t even brush my teeth except like once a MONTH until like a year ago. I’m only recently really trying to learn how to stay hygienic and holy crap I didn’t realize how much stuff I didn’t know. I’m having to binge a bunch of feminine hygiene videos, but I hope I can learn to stay fresh. Take care of yourselves ✌️

Ladies! I learned this tip yearssss ago from a male makeup artist who had the softest, smoothest skin. Use your body scrub on DRY skin BEFORE your shower. Stand in the tub, get your scrub, start at your feet and work your way up until you have scrubbed your entire body, then rinse and carry on with your shower. Once done rub your skin down in body oil. I love dry oils!

i agree with the “waxing culture” thing! i’ve gotten waxed a few times and i’ve still gotten ingrown hairs.. it’s way too painful for me & also gets pricey. all you need is a good razor & exfoliater!
No matter what razor I've used and exfoliated I still get horrible ingrown 😫. They're more minimal with waxing plus my hair doesn't start growing back by day 3.

I learned that as black people, especially with the type of hair we have, we're always gonna get ingrown because of how naturally curly our hair is 😵💫😵💫 it's really preference at this point
I dont think theres a waxing culture, shaving is still the most common method of hair removal but shaving is the devil to me. I think people with thick hair need to wax
I only wax cuz I’m lazy and it lasts longer lol. I get ingrowns with waxing too

girl! the tonsil stones are the worst! I get sick maybe like once a year or so and that's the only time I get them. Therabreath actually has a kit that helps with those so whenever that time comes I use it. It's really great!
I LOVE watching your shower routine!! It's actually REALISTIC! I see some of the other routines people post and I'm exhausted after watching!! I'm like "Do people REALLY do all that!? How do they have the time?" 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
I know the shower routine takes forever. Even my basic morning shower takes at least 25 minutes. That's without doing a body scrub or body conditioner. Then moisturizing takes more time. Lol. I love starting my day fresh and so clean 😂
A tip is for you to SEPARATE a day (at night or in the morning depending on whether you are taking a morning bath or a night bath) and then separate a time for you to do it, a tip is for you to do it on Friday!! So the last day of the week before the weekend you are more relaxed
@@Queen42097 I was watching a shower routine and she used 3 different body scrubs, bar soap, 2 body wash, aloofah and a wash cloth. That was way too much. Some Even if I skip a day of showering..like just staying indoor alone..lol, I do need all that. 😂
One of the best routines I’ve seen. Straight to the point without all the extras! Keep them coming!
One thing I learned, is using mouthwash and rinsing your mouth with water after you’ve brushed your teeth actually rinses off some of the concentrated fluoride that is meant to stay on our teeth from the toothpaste! Doing so reduced its preventative effects! If you really want to do a rinse - mouthwash or water- wait 20 minutes or so.
@Lakacia Lloyd i do this, and i also b putting it on my toothbrush to brush my teeth w/ it after too
I use it in between meals and before brushing, think of it like a pre-rinse. Mouthwash has fluoride but I think toothpaste has more.
Just got a lecture on the proper use of mouthwash, floss and brush from my dentist.

one thing about me. idc how late it is or how tired i am. i am going to shower. my shower routine in and out will be done everyday even if i’m sick. my biggest fear is someone being like….she smells like i just don’t want the possibility to arise
as someone who is sick all the time and just can’t ever manage to get out of bed i get you lmao. I never go out and i’m homeschooled because i will never wanna walk out looking like a hot mess and i always do. I’m even so bad at brushing my teeth and washing my face, brushing my teeth is the one thing i’d force myself to do because hell i don’t want no cavities😂
i don’t even have a shower and only a bath so that’s definitely time consuming, baths make me more worse when i get flare ups
Same. Even when I was going through depression and could barely eat or get out of bed I made sure to get my butt up and shower and brush my teeth. Twice a day. It actually relaxed me.

You really inspire me to level up .And I'm going to try the perfume that you have , too .I just found this Dove Mosturizing Lotion and I use it with Vaseline gel creme and Cocoa Butter lotion and my feel feels so good and soft and it smells very good, too, even on days I don't wear perfume. I just want to say to all the sandal wearing ladies, that in addition to your regular shower exfoliating, after a day of wearing your sandals wash and exfoliate those feet the minute you take your sandals off. Don’t forget to moisturize while your feet are still damp, and you’ll never have rough heels again.✌🏾❤️
