the description lol 'haha just messing around on the buchla pssh it's nothing no big deal guys probably doing it wrong anyway' (proceeds to perform beautiful, moving rendition of #1 Vaka, stunning from start to finish)
This is brilliant! Especially the arp and wobble at the end. I always thought the Easel was perfect for Sigur Ros type stuff. I think Cortini feels the same. Check out "After The Storm" on my channel :)
Love the sounds of a buchla. I really wish they would price more appropriately though. Even if the hardware quality were out of this world, it shouldn't be more than $2000 (IMO). I haven't played one but in the videos i've seen the knobs are quite wobbly, which leads me to believe the longevity and quality wouldn't justify anywhere near that price point. I have several moogs and they definitely have found the sweet spot when it comes to price point and quality.
This comment was made before the announcement of the $8K Moog One. :P The way I see it, and just my opinion, when something is very expensive that means it'll be super hard to find in the future. This (hopefully) means it'll be something that gains value in the future.
Very nice! The progressive lead treatments are highly effective. Seems like you’re wringing just about all the simultaneity out of the Easel that’s possible. Obviously the outboard effects play a huge role tying it all together-that spring reverb only gets you so far.
This video is amazing. You play the Easel lovely! I have a question, what reverb and delay are you using? It's providing a lot of great atmosphere here!
Amazing! Thanks for posting. I’ve been eyeing the Easel reissue which is making my wallet cry! Questions for you: Are you playing on an original or the reissue? and are we listening to direct output from the easel or are you processing the sound with delay effects?
I was wondering if when you purchased your Easel, if you also got the bundled version with the XiProgram card, and if not why? Seems it would add some value in terms of stored patches than can be easily remembered. I really love your sonic improvisations. Especially when combined with just.a few other pieces of gear. Also, when you ordered, did you have to wait long to get it?
I got my first one from the first batch with lots of problems, then send it back and got a new one, had that one fixed and now I am good. And yes - the wait was much longer than promissed. They did not offer the bundle at the time. Regards K
Never noticed the bassline is a 5-step sequence. As if Don Buchla had designed the Easel to be able to play this song! 😊
I am crying like a baby. Litteraly. F… beautiful!
Astonishingly beautiful! You play the Easel like a master.
hauntingly beautiful... the Easel is a magic box indeed ;)
It's amazing when he built this synth all those years ago it is so endless

Phenomenal work, truly impressive!
Awesome 😎
I’ve always wanted one Bushla Easel 🎹
That Easel is something else.

Man, this thing must just be so much fun to play with.
And wow, you really make it beautifully melodic.
major ups on this fantastic cover, thanks for sharing!
Stunning rendition.
What sounds! Beautiful.
Whew! That's a dramatic build around 4 minutes and resolution!

Thank you!
This was so very beautiful.
Really nice pacing and control, here. You're clearly very comfortable with the instrument (so you should keep it ;) )
Glorious
Beautiful work. Which pedals were you using for reverb and delay?
When VNV Nation is asking what effects you use, you know you're doing something special.
The Units did an instrumental in this fashion, pretty cool!.
That old band from San Francisco? I like them.
