This is a yoga nidra style body scan to sooth the nerves. This yog nidra includes a sound bath with crystal singing bowls by Megan Marie Gates to further enhance the state of deep relaxation in the central nervous system.
Yoga Nidra is a form of meditation that helps with insomnia, anxiety, stress, adrenal fatigue, ptsd and so much more. This 20 minute scan takes you through the whole body, systematically relaxing every part of your being. If you'd like to learn more about yoga nidra you can also look up integrative restoration or iRest which is the life's work of one of my teachers, Richard Miller.
The word Nidra translates to 'sleep' and is a systematic method of relaxation, inducing physical, mental and emotional relaxation, while maintaining awareness at deeper levels.
There is really no "wrong" way to practice, close your eyes and allow yourself to be guided into deep relaxation.
Yoga Nidra is a state of deep sleep while you remain conscious. During Yoga Nidra you can access many different states of consciousness. You might leave your waking state, go through the dreaming state and into deep sleep state, yet remain fully awake.
Scientific research has demonstrated that restorative power of just one hour of Yoga Nidra is equal to 4 hours of healthy sleep. This is why some people refer to yoga nidra as "bliss for your brain" or "divine sleep" and some translatations of yog nidra include "sleep of the yogi" and "yogic sleep"

I've been using your videos for about a month now to help manage my stress and anxiety... I don't even know how to explain the sensations that are taking hold of me after just a month of practice. No matter how much my brain and body are chattering at the beginning, I feel entirely calm, peaceful, like I'm floating in a cocoon in space by the end. I love these mini yoga practices! Sometimes I find it really hard to set aside the time so 20 mins was the perfect amount of time that I couldn't make up an excuse for!

I love this meditation. Do it almost everyday. One thing though, I kind of wish that you would redo the ending.(or create another 20-25 minute singing bowls gentle one?Please?)
As you're closing this out, and the user starts to reawaken, the audio crackles and there's a lot of rubbing and bumping on the microphone.
I thought it was just my internet connection for a while and then it happened over and over again so, I don't think so.
I appreciate any meditation with singing bowls specifically these ones on your channel, in the background. I gravitate towards it a lot when I'm dealing with overstimulation, which is everyday.

Just today.... An ad had crept into this meditation. :( I use this daily to help with my TBI symptoms. Please make it go away.
I normally love your meditations, but the loud bells / chimes in the background were extremely distracting.
I actually switched meditations after 5 minutes because it was irritating, not relaxing.
To each his own, I guess!
Yup some people are too sensitive for the bowls Estelle. This is normal, I’d say about 10% of people find them too much, whereas for many people it allows them to go much “deeper” into their relaxation. This is why I strive for variety so everyone can find what they need. 👍🏼
