The key of a professional rider is that they never even allow to get in a trap to have the need to use their skills. You keeping that distance will guarantee that nothing will happen to you. That’s exactly how I started, once I was comfortable I rode around to other neighborhoods. Stayed within 4 miles from home and move further as you get more comfortable
I run it on the highway to work most days (and have around 2,000 miles on the bike now), it is not shaky at all, the only downside is that I am always in the upper RPM range of 6th gear most of the ride. I have heard the same "issue" with the 650, it is just how the motors are built. but outside of that it is perfectly fine on the highway.

@@clever805 The fastest I've hit is 124 at 175 body weight. but the bike is great around the high 90s low 100s. The price difference between the two bikes is not that big, I would do some research if I were you. But take in mind I did pick the 500 over the 650.

@@EvansMustang the msf cpurse (atleast the one I took) incorporated all of that. They also teach importsnt fundamentals of riding. My parents did not want me to get a bike either, understandably. Sometimes it is better to ask for forgiveness rathee than permission 😅

just a heads up the speedo is off by 3-4 mph so when cars are mad behind u in a 35 zone its really cuz ur doing closer to 30 which i think all drivers dread lol but get content keep it up boss

I don't know if the states test on this, but I see you riding a lot in the right tire track on the highway instead of the left. Being on the right is incorrect blocking position for a two lane highway. Work on that. :) Good stuff though!
I switch positions often on the highway but typically I stay near the dotted line for the best visibility (right position in the left lane and the left position in the right lane)

I own the 500 and it's a sail when going 110 kmh +.

Just rev matching, if I dont do it the engine braking seems to slow the bike doen much more than I like
