Aw man, the self titled album was one of my favorites. It has a lot of slow doom riffs but almost all the songs build up into these bad ass "into the pit!" moments. I about wore that cassette out when that was released. To each their own though, I guess.
Yeah, I could see a fan of doomier stuff enjoying it way more. Those "into the pit" moments are definitely fun as well. I had a weird shift in taste about fifteen years ago where doom metal just does very little for me anymore. When I was first getting into metal, I loved stuff like Swallow the Sun and even funeral doom like Ahab and Esoteric. These days it's a genre I hardly ever listen to.
I am honestly not super familiar with them. I tried Rise to Ruin a couple times, but it never clicked with me. Where would you recommend starting with them?
I'm probably the only one thinks this but i actually think that the band's last album is the best one. But then again... i'm not the biggest fan of this band. So that's maybe why i think that.
I can totally understand that opinion though. Necroceros does a lot really well - great songs, great production, great performances. The similar tempos across the album definitely makes it less enjoyable to me, but it was still one of my favorite albums of 2021.
@@metalvibez I think this band sound is just not interesting to me... the only albums that i can confidently say that i like is the first two and the last one. And i don't even like The Rack that much.
I'm looking for bands like Autopsy's slower moments, can you suggest me some doomy death metal bands? But not death-doom because its too soft and gay for me, must sound gross and putrid
Their modern stuff is definitely much more polished and accessible than those two. If you haven't given Incoming Death or Deathhammer a try, I would highly recommend them.
Martin screaming "THIS IS TRUE DEATH METAL YOU BASTARDS" is one of the best moments ever.
100% agree.

On this one I do differ, Asphyx by Asphyx is a jewel, but indeed is absolutely different from previous staff, but I love those three first albums.
Saw them last year in Mexico metal fest, they were great.
Nice! Good to hear they put on a great show. They are a bucket list band for me.
Great video! How about rating the other Dutch giant: Gorefest?!

@@metalvibezFalse is a idle choice. Soul Survivor is also fabulous, but it's way more death 'n roll, probably way more hard rock than death.
What is your opinion on the groups soulburn and haill of bullets

Hey man. Think you could do a misery index or benighted or dying fetus rank?
Yes! I will get to all three eventually. Probably Dying Fetus before the others.

@@mycity7590 Ah, different tastes then. Something about them just really clicks for me.

given the rack and last one on earth many chances and nothing has clicked so far. maybe this band just isn't for me

@@metalvibezI actually enjoy this band regularly. Really have grown towards the death and doom sound in general.
