I was lucky enough to have lived in Hull for three years as a kid. We had Paragon Park (smallish amusement park), the Penny Candy Store, and swimming lessons off the Jetty down near A St. I spent a lot of time at the Hull Library reading everything related to Nancy Drew. I biked all over the place and went to Hull Memorial School. We lived in the military housing down by the intersection of Duck Ln and Nantasket Ave. At the time, we could see ships sailing out of Boston Harbor every day and Boston Light was right across the street and the ocean from our living room window. It was glorious and uncluttered then. That whole area is so full of apartments and condos now but back then in the 60s it was open and so easy to get around. I'll always have great memories of Hull and its people. And the smell of the ocean and the seafood restaurants.
That is really cool! You were lucky to live there! How were the winters though? My friend who lived there said they can be brutal. Sounds like it was really nice back then! Appreciate you sharing that with us and thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
Haha! For a place like that, I was surprised at how bad the roads were! Thanks man! We had a blast! Thanks for watching and for the sub! Much appreciated!
Nothing better than exploring new places on the bikes I would have preferred and ebike but when your away from home you make do with wot, you got a couple of cool cruises 😎
Very good however you fellas missed the boat! you shoulda stay right on the beach strip, get a coffee and bagel at Dunkin Donuts, you can dine outside at Red Parrot, walk barefoot along the 4 miles of Nantasket Beach, discover the long history of Hull Massachusetts
I really wish we had the time back then to do all of that. We were there for just a few days to attend a wedding for my friend so we had like a day to explore the area. I appreciate the suggestions though so if I ever get back there, I'll check those things out! Thanks!
You have a beautiful town and I enjoyed being there. I actually did speak to someone who lives there and that's what he told me. He didn't grow up there so maybe he was mistaken. I did not mean to say "whatever" and do apologize if that offended you in any way. Thanks for watching the vid!
Hi Caitlin, I also grew up in Hull. My grandparents had a house on Beach Ave. right across from the Atlantic and lived there for many years. I'd love to visit again and live there, so if you know of a rental, it would be nice.
@Rick Smith rentals are hard to come by but they do pop up, there are some available now. I'm looking myself for a new place. Good luck to you. Also the rent prices are becoming insane here, and some are just seasonal rentals. Finding a year round one is even harder.
I grew up and still live here. Our Peninsula paradise!!

Ya Atlantic ave is quite bumpy. My grandfather lived in the stone house after the little free library. Gun rock beach is my favorite place!!

Paragon park, it was an amusement park, not a carnival. It was permanent. Please if you come to a town, ask the locals, don't just say whatever.
