  • The saxon Novo 909EQ2 refractor telescope is built for the serious beginner - not someone who wants a toy.
This is a telescope that's good for planets, star clusters, bright nebulas, and is even very effective for land viewing.
It comes on an equatorial mount, so when it's aligned to the sky correctly, you can track the stars as they move with a single knob.
In ths video, Optics Central's resident astrophotographer, Bill, unboxes the Novo 909EQ2, goes through its parts and shows you how it all goes together.
    Specifications:
    Focal length: 910mm
    Aperture: 90mm
    Eyepieces: super 4mm, 10mm and 25mm
Maximum magnification (with 4mm eyepiece): 227.5 times
    Finderscope: 6x30 optical
    Diagonal: 90° mirror type

Ahhh now i can put a face to the voice ive spocken to over the phone. Great people to deal with. Have bought a few saxon spotting scopes for hunting and have been blown away at the quality for the price. You cant go wrong with these guys for sales and service.

A clear background without the other telescopes would’ve been more interesting video in small phones screen- yet nicely detailed. Thanks

Nice. I bought the AZ3 version without the equatorial mount and am very satisfied with it. Glad to see I otherwise set mine up correctly.

The saxon Novo 909 AZ3 is one of my favourite scopes. It's simple enough for beginners, sophisticated enough for detailed observations and has sufficient magnification for a pretty good view of Saturn's rings. It's also not an expensive scope.

who makes the focusers for celestron who is now owned by tasco, or for the sky watcher brand?. worst come to worst I guess I can use a GSO, or a Aquila focuser at a hundred and ten a pop. just to bad it takes over a month, just to get them.

I'm not able to film videos at this point in time - it's not because of Covid, but we're having an office reconstruction at the moment and the place is a gigantic mess!

Sorry, you'll have to approach specialist parts manufacturers for this sort of thing.

@@OpticsCentralAustralia figured, have tried meade and celestron but they would like to see ATM find a new hobby as they want to sell scopes only.
