      Indeed including what they did to Sting once they had him a couple of years later.

    These guys were smart business man. And didn’t put too much of their bodies on the line. They won in the end.

    Vince McMahon should have ran wcw instead of killing it but hey different era

      @@steve9473 Yeah but in doing that, he lost fans he'll never get back. To this very day I don't have anything to do with the WWE for that exact reason.

      Vince should have made a story about a WCW merger, and then when the WWE look like they have won bring out a Sting - led NWO faction. Then have it NWO vs everyone else. Maybe have Taker wrestle Sting for the Title as the culmination of this big fued. Ric Flair managing talent for 1 side and Hogan the other. Culminating in their retirement match.

      The original plan was to have one show WCW and the other WWE, I think it was Raw that was going to be WCW and Smackdown was going to be WWE. The match between Booker T and Buff Bagwell on Raw was panned so badly that Vince scraped the idea.

    • @chrisdaniels3549
      @chrisdaniels3549 3 місяці тому

      @@seanman1231 No, they made sure it went badly. The very next week RAW was in Atlanta, the perfect place to debut the new WCW. Instead they chose to do it in freaking Seattle or somewhere WCW didn't even have a big presence.

    Everyone who was still collecting on those Turner contracts would have been available by early/mid ‘02 (apart from Goldberg whose ran out early ‘03 I think). All Vince had to do was WAIT, but with the ratings tanking and the XFL losses he couldn’t do it. Ridiculous in hindsight.

    Hall was so much more than a drunk, drug addict. Misunderstanding mental health and helping someone in need keeps these men alive.

      Scott had alcoholism in his family line so it left him more predisposed to developing those issues. I myself have alcoholism in my family which is why I stopped drinking a long time ago.

      @@TL2354 Really? You going to sit there and pretend like he didn't try to bury Dusty Rhodes with those ridiculous gimmicks? The only reason they got over is because Dusty got them over. Literally everyone you just named were people he stole from WCW, of course he didn't bury them. We're talking about after the buyout.
