A penny less isn't going to work for me, brother.
Randy and Bret is an awesome lineup. Bret was right, they both have to be moving
1 million a year to kill your body all year round. Meanwhile a Hollywood actor makes 20 million a film. What a brutal career.
Bret could'nt draw a 100th of what Hogan drew, so no he should've never been making what Eric gave him.
In terms of marketing, he wasn't worth more than Hulk in any point of his career. Hogan will always be the most famous Wrestler in the last 50 years. Hogan legitimised WCW and made wrestling unbelievably hot, Bret came along and nobody really cared. Facts.
Yeah you might be right but we'll never know what he was fully capable of because he never got a serious chance at being the top star at wcw
@@joshuahosang6690 That's very true, that's the exact same thing they're doing with AEW now, another massive Canadian star comes over and the arena is almost empty and this is the same guy that was tag champs with Hogan ironically enough. I don't think he could of had a chance of being a draw in WCW because you had so many massive stars and main eventers just wandering about all over the card, it was a mess. Lost in the shuffle.
@@joshuahosang6690He never put in the effort or work to try to be a top star in WCW. Bret showed up, collected a paycheck and sat around whining and complaining about everything.
@@onewarriornation602yeah because they booked Bret well down in wcw.. they had him as a nwo recruiter.. very stupid since he debut by stopping the nwo from cheating once again. It’s clear as day they didn’t book Bret correctly and I go on the list of others like sting, Jericho, booker, benoit, eddy
@@MR.__G Yeah, because Bret showed up ready to contribute and with a positive attitude. Oh right, he would show up halfway through the show, interrupt the bookers backstage and ask them "so what should I do today?"
Bret needs to take responsibility for himself for once in his career.
Bret is a great wrestler, he's my third favorite of all time... but Bret was never worth as much as Hogan. Not at his peak in the WWF and certainly not in WCW.
Facts. Bret is a good hand. He’s NOT a draw.
Nobody was worth more than Hogan he was the biggest star in the business
@donjohn2695 100% fact. Love him or hate him, Hogan is the biggest draw of all time. If the internet had existed 1985, his merch sales would be historical. Hogan had over 33 million people watching at one point. Steve Austin barely broke 10 million at his absolute peak. John Cena didn't even crack 6 million and it dropped every single year he was on top. Anyone who thought they were bigger than Hogan was kayfabing themselves.
A loved bret as wrestler probs my all time fave .. but as a person he’s way to serious 😂
WCW wasn't a wrestling company that was pretty much the problem. WCW was a TV show featuring wrestling, not a wrestling company. That's why they were able to end their house show business and be more profitable for it.
They didn't end it. They stopped going on the road for a while cuz they kept losing money every time. They restarted running live events once business was better.
And why would they pay a guy who LOST MONEY for WWE more than Hulk Hogan??? Yea, thats real rational thinking there
Yes cuz then they would’ve actually used Bret like they should have
As a kid I went a long time not knowing Vince was the boss. He was such a great announcer
Bret was never on the same Level as the greats
Umm bret the ratings didn't go down cuz of you dropping to shawn sir. Nwo took them
Subtitles please.
It'll be funny to see how many people in the comments watched the video instead of just reading the blatant lie in the title.
Hell if i was a wrestler i would wanna go to WCW ...it was easy money..and they didnt even take wrestling serious
ly
He looks like the comic book guy from the simpsons now
He should've went to wcw in 96
should've gone*
@@NoneofYabiz-rx3zi are going to correct everyone on UA-cam?
Brett is telling a lie. He negotiated with WCW backing like 93 when he was a Intercontinental champion.
Nobody puts Bret Hart over like Bret Hart.
Its because Vince was protecting Macho's character whereas Bret was always looking to beat guys clean to prop himself up further. Bret was great but very self interested
Loved that Randy match
These contracts apply to more people than you think this story is familiar when talking about trades or services....bottom line is ,the rich own us all!
I know he is loved but WWF didn't start to lose to WCW after he lost the title.
How does Hart not understand he was never a star. He was a place holder for headliners. Nothing more.
Bret Hart was good as a mid card talent and boring as a main event.
He’s was the biggest star in wrestling between the hogan and Austin run.
Are you a kid? Anyone 35+ knows this is rubbish.
Bret may not have the biggest muscles where ever you steroids but he sure got that flex
Bret Hart is delusional if he thinks he should have been paid more than Hogan who basically saved WCW, and was a key driving force for its success in the late 90’s , Bret despite his greatness as a wrestler never really made big money for WWF outside possibly of ticket sales in Canada, Bret was basically well known by WWF fans and wrestling fans in general but he never was a Hogan, Stone Cold, or The Rock, of the wrestling business
If WCW had given him Hogan $ and a penny more, that would've been hilarious LOL
At the time of the "Montreal Screwjob", there's an argument to be made that Bret might've deserved it.
I have never been a fan of Hulk Hogan, but Bret was not worth near as much as him as a commodity. There are many wrestlers like Hogan that are a better commodity than they are a wrestler.
I DON'T BELIEVE THIS CONVERSATION HAPPENED BUT IF IT DID IF I WAS ERIC.... I WOULD HAVE SAID HOW ABOUT A PENNY LESS?
Did Brett see out the life time contract with WWE? How did they "screw him" if he had a life time contract?
I love Bret, he’s one of my all time favorite wrestlers, but I must disagree that he deserved to be paid better than Hogan. When Hulk became the heel Hollywood, Hogan took it another level, and Sting wouldn’t have been the icon if it wasn’t for Hollywood cutting all time classic heel promos as a leader of nWo.
I love bret too and agree with everything you said. Would also like to add the more he whines about the past the more he loses credibility….. he didn’t need to say a word. We all knew he was the excellence of execution…. The more he talks now the more he’s killing his legacy.
Well, so did Bret if you actually watch the video.
Bret only said that offer to get Bischoff off his back because he clearly didn’t want to go to WCW.
If it wasn't for Bret, we would have never had Stone Cold. Bret also helped guys while Hogan kept them down.
@@bryankelloway6610Hogan put over more guys than any other top star not named Flair but okay.
Bret is a legend in his own mind, he never drew anywhere near what Hogan did he was an over hyped mid card talent at best so no he didn’t deserve to be paid more
Okay, 20-year old who never saw Bret wrestle.
You know, The Hitman would look pretty good with a moustache.
When did working the leg become boring to Bret? 🤣. I like Beer but he just won't let things go. It must be torture mentally to hold on to stuff from an industry where so much stuff is a work that ppl don't even believe the real stuff.
Intimidated by Vince? NOT enough to knock him out after that shower after the screw job lol.
Doesn’t this just prove how much of hard on hart had for hogan. Like an obsession. I want 1 doll more than that one guy! Lol
How could anybody see Bret V Kid and say either was a "shit wrestler" boggles the mind.
WOW this guy loves himself
Bret Hart was clearly a better wrestler, but bigger draw?... I dunno, I've seen alot of wrestling shoot videos, an most of the time when guys are talking about Bret, they say he always wanted to be no#1, so it's not doubt that Hart asked for a penny more than Hogan, just to say he's making more money at the time. Hart seems like a good guy, but alot of wrestlers say he's very conceded.
From 1 mill to 2.5 million? So long.
From 500k. Merchandise is not part of the downside guarantee
Man! Just the way he carries himself you can tell it's all about respect for the human being for Brett. What a classy guy. What a man!!!
