    A million thanks for presenting this series by Keating. I have learned so much in technique from it. Please don’t remove it, let us continue to see how the masters painted by a master.

    I've just discovered Tom Keating and this series is wonderful. I wish there were more episodes. I blew right through them in a couple of days.

    Love Tom. Hav,nt seen this one. He forged a few in his day, as a protest against the Establishment. They got him, of course, but not before he had exposed their fraudulent and sneaky methods of keeping paintings they have bought and collected up in price ! He is missed. Thanx for sharing.

    I wish he'd had more time for these demonstrations; though he was pretty seriously ill at this point - I do like the way he ties things together, both in his painting and his commentary.

    Great work! I wish I could paint in plain air, I have done some sketches, and then pass them on to the canvas, but the best is always to paint outside in the field. From there one can see better the natural colors and shades much better than indoors. Thank you for your video, your teaching is amazing and I am grateful for your sharing such works. Thank you, I am learning a lot.

    • @Auriflamme
      @Auriflamme 4 роки тому +4

      You can tell by examining the brushstrokes how fast they were working. Anecdotes and memoirs also provide insight into how they worked. Furthermore you can estimate based on how many paintings they produced in a given interval, the speed at which they painted.

    Brilliant imitator of artist's work...but boy...what sexist comments thru'out the series. i.e. The Ladies....(women) were known as great beauties in their day. What an irrelevant remark to make of painters. And many other awful comments in other videos. Old attitude male thinking. Not cool now at all.

    • @mikesmith4229
      @mikesmith4229 5 років тому +7

      Seriously? You waste your time by watching videos for sexist dialogue, then writing comments, arrogantly stating your opinion as if your opinion mattered... It doesn't. Your comment reflects more about you than it does about the videos or people in them... Rather than push your feminist agenda, I suggest you get a life.. But that, of course, is just my opinion....

    Blue and yellow are primaries. They have no opposite. And why are the women described as Ladies...and also known for their beauty....(((
