I learned this as a heatless curls method. My stylist mentioned in passing that her naturally curly friend does this on vacation when she doesn’t want to do her big diffuser routine. It makes really nice spirals, and also looks pretty cute on Zoom calls.

I have black hair, and this is very very hard 😭
My hairline is a weird zigzag so I can barely part it, but on the very rare occasion I somehow get it parted, I love to braid it.
It doesn't work for me, I have black hair and I got more confused :)))
