OK, that's how you land a Da42!! Now I know what I was doing wrong. Everything lol. But how come the landings feel so flat in this plane ? You were clearly nose up attitude on touchdown but the nose wheel seems to drop onto the runway almost at the same time as the mains.
The CG in this plane is slightly forward so the nose will tend to drop faster. Also you may not have been trimmed up enough. When in a full flaps config you should need quite a lot of trim. If you need more help, ask away!
@@InformationAlpha Thanks! I just tried the latest version and it flies way differently now. Before I felt that there wasn't enough control in flare, pulling back on the stick barely raised the nose and that was with proper trim yeah. I've seen lots of people on YT plant the aircraft onto the ground almost flat. Now with the latest update the aircraft is more controllable - I literally just pulled off my best landing ever in the Twin Star and maybe one of the best in any aircraft haha! It looks like they're constantly working on fixes and improvements so make sure you've got the latest version everyone
Great video again, thank you. How good do you think this aircraft’s flight model is? Also, could you do some stalls or spins with this aircraft in a tutorial? There’s not much upset recovery tutorials in flight sim.
cool video as always
Thanks!
Thanks. Learnt some stuff in all 3 of the related videos about this great airplane and its operation that I didn’t know.
Glad to here! And always happy to help!
Great landings! That crosswind Wes defiantly interesting! And First Flight area looks brilliant! Is that 3rd party?
Thanks! And no its default!

Spins in this plane will not work well
Flight Model is surprisingly excellent! And Spins are prohibited. But i can defiantly do stalls!
