One of the only characters from the Metroid saga (not including Other M) that seemed to have a true companionship with Samus as fellow bounty hunters. It was sad to see him die so soon.
He died because he was the purest one. His innocence and naivety caused him to drop his guard. This is tragic because it’s so true to life. Innocence is always the victim.
So true can never forget the real heroes
I thought he was working with the Space Pirates from behind-the-scenes before the Phazon poisoned him.

Ghor's spirit is unstable, therefore vulnerable to the Phazon; Gandrayda even could remain her will, therefore she is minded to get the power of Phazon, which could be strong enough to be agaist Samus. But Rundas is the merely one who take Samus as a comrade unlike other twos. Were there no Rundas, Samus would have been killed by Ridley.
Best character in the Metroid series, he had the most personality of any of the characters, a loyal friend, a badass bounty hunter, and a true warrior, taking his life after realizing what the Phazon has and will continue to do to him.
Dark Samus must have killed him since he had the most resistance and was the biggest threat to the two people who share Metroid DNA Samus and dark samus
Not to mention he was voiced by Christopher Sabbot

We need more of the bounty hunters in Smash. The Metroid reps are literally: Samus, Samus, Samus, and Ridley

I'm sure that's been fixed by now, or Federation Force and Prime 4 wouldn't exist.
They are still canon since *SPOILEEEEEER* Ridley appears with cybernetic enchancement in Metroid: Samus Returns. Also the official guide stablishes that the Metroids were put into extermination thanks to the constant abuse under the hands of the Space Pirates (this is an indirect mention of the Prime Series). Also the series were canon since the beggining, the first game happening 3 years after Zero Mission.

ok, when i fought this cool guy in prime 3, he glitched out and just stood there doing nothing in a corner for the rest of the fight. I almost felt bad while i just stood there shooting him, but it was pretty ironic that the dude with the ice motif froze.
Man i remember when rundus was corrupted and I was sad we lost our icebro but it was an epic bossfight with an epic theme
bruh this song is sad also when you think about, it gives the feeling that Rundus is about to die and it sadden me when I saw him die.
@@aaaskeleton4485 the song has more meaning to that we are fighting this biggest threat to our enemy cleary seeing he's being control he wasn't made of pure energy he wasn't 6 percent bio organic he was all heart he cleared all unworthy opponents and never insulted Samus once and looked her face to face before striking with true honor a hero till death justice will prevail and all that stuff which is why he was the only one that was lifeless when consumed
For some reason, this battle stuck so much on me. It Might be the first Bountyhunter corrupted that we found, but always i will remember It as the best...

Man, remember when Prime 3 starts with a level in which you get to fight side by side a trio of cool other hunters, only to kick you in the guts by forcing you to fight them as they got corrupted. Only made that final fight versus Dark Samus all the sweeter. Sure, the Phazon suit was probably the ugliest of the Power suits.... game a bit too much of going back and forth to my taste, but goddamn was the atmosphere on point, and those control GOOOOOOODDDD!

You musical mastermind just made my inner child very happy today! Rundas was so cool, it made me sad to see him die by my hand because he was corrupted trying to save the galaxy. Gandrayda was also another fantastic theme and fight! You should consider covering it in the future!

Rundas’ theme just sticks because you can just hear the sorrow and despair in it. He’s the one who seemed closest to Samus as an ally, and now we have to fight him. He’s not himself, since the phazon has corrupted him, but deep inside, he is hate himself for fighting a friend, as is Samus. And when you finally defeat him, it feels even worse.

This is amazing, great job! Rundas has always been one of my favorite boss fights in all of Metroid, simply 'cause of this stirring soundtrack he got (and come on, his design and voice are both brilliant). 4:37 reminds me a little of Kara's Theme of Detroit: Become Human, now that you added the piano, I dig it. Every cover of you that I have listened to so far is outstanding and fits the soundtracks so well, keep it up :D!

Another Metroid song that would be awesome to hear would be the the Emperor Ing Boss Theme(s). The Emperor Ing has 2 boss themes and both are awesome, so if I had to pick one it would have to be the second boss theme where you face the Emperor Ing's "Final form."

The one time I *believed* there's finally a *lasting* ally around the same level as Samus.
My 1st playthrough, I *hesitated,* thinking that *Dark Samus* would show up at some point, so I could free the one character across the Prime games so far who remotely wants to be friends with me.
Thinking it will trigger a scripted sequence like in *Super Metroid* when I have a certain amount of energy left, I realized what I have to do...
I'll never forget how that felt.
