    Thanks for the info. Been looking at different reviews of these. Thinking of buying one! 👍

    as i told another youtuber, mn128 or mn86 is another level with 390 strong magnet motor, real metal hobbie grade chassis and 12mm standar hex wheels. Also for 10eur you can get a set of bearing to replace bushes, metal driveshafts and metal gears even though i am still onnthe original plastic ones. Also, mn128 and 86 have front mounted motor with gearbix and transfer case (3 driveshafts). I only replaced plastic shafts and esc for a 1060 and its fantastic for trailing and looks

    The ESC in this car definitely has a strong drag break. I put the ESC from my MN168 inside a LDR/C car with rubber tyres & the drag break is real strong on that now & The LDR/C accelerates faster now too.

    I really like these, but I don't know why WPL would be worried about single plane pivots and rattle links in the suspension design. The current counter rotating WPL gearboxes are better, and more appropriately geared than the MN equivalent. The electronics may be separate components, but they are only the equal of recent WPL offerings and I'd prefer a switchable drag brake than permanent 90%. The receiver has a third channel, which is great for up grading with a two speed, but in the low range setting it limits power - because the same transmitter setting is used for the electronic two speed as stock preventing the full throttle range being available. Then there's the styling, I suppose those big wheels and ridiculous ride height are ok for a kid who doesn't mind it looking like a cartoon. I think MN have concentrated too hard on having a list of things they can advertise without producing a thoughtful well engineered product.
    Yeah having the full lighting installed is a nice extra and the body is lovely but there are some serious limitations to the overall design.

      Agrees on the rattling links, but MN still has the edge on the body and paint job, the WPL may perform better as RTR but their body feels cheaper, we need MN bodies on a WPL chassis lol

      @@theminiatureconstructionco4556 I am sooo sorry, Mate! I wasn`t calling you a name. I was talking about your accent and how hard it is to understand sometimes. But I`m an old, deaf geezer. You were definitely excited, though lol! Yes, I wish that I had found MN before WPL. They are definitely better. I have so much WPL stuff, that there`s no way I could change now. I am too heavily invested. Plus, I like sticking to one scale. When I built model airplanes, they all had to be of the 1/48 scale. Do you have a website, or web address? If, so, I would like to send you a photo of my newest crazy idea. I haven`t even finished the monster truck and I`m already looking at other ideas. lol

    Looks really nice and looks well built, good value. Still got that whine from the motor at low throttle, but seems pretty cool.
    I don't need one more small crawler vehicle, but I started thinking about either something like this, or build some sort of Injora thing from Amazon... Oh, this hobby, the brain never rests, eh?

    Great review. A great step forward for MN. The separate receiver was a real stroke of genius. I've updated to the WPL ESC you reviewed. I really liked the body detail. But couldn't live with the big wheels. I prefer a scale look. Hence why I changed the axle/wheel size.

    • @theminiatureconstructionco4556
      @theminiatureconstructionco4556  Місяць тому +1

      That was the only thing I felt was a little off putting. But they do work quite well, and for pure off road ability, I think they are worth keeping. But 100% they look better with scale wheels.

      Tell me more about the receiver and ESC. Do you reckon I could hook up the light controller to an external ESC. I've put in flysky ESC. But wondering how to keep the original lighting and control it of chanel 3 or 4

      You can get high speed 370 motors but they don't have much torque in the low end, you could try a brushless D2225 motor at 3650kv, I have designed a 3D printed bolt on adapter on thingiverse for that motor, it should be 50% faster on 3s, or simply go with 3S and send it home (breakage may/will occur loool)
