Made a scarifier for £50 from a used petrol rotary mower, and a scarifying blade, and it works perfectly.
I have the small cordless one and it is surprisingly good. I also clear up afterwards with petrol stihl bower. For tools used that infrequently I prefer battery stiff so the fuel doesn't go off in carb. the trick is always to have at least two batteries. one in charger and one machine.
That is a very good way of looking at it Fibreguy. Great advice 👍🏼
I have the petrol cobra and a small enough lawn but wanted the power, and it’s pretty good. I just done the back garden last night and ripped out loads of thatch. Glad I got it-petrol.
Great videos guys 👍🏼😀
Thanks for the review. Really good info 😊
Thank you Joshua 🤩
Awesome channel and great reviews.. Much appreciated
Thank you 🤩
Nice review guys, I never realized just how much dead grass would settle in the yard.
You better tell those goats to get busy!! 🤣
Thank you John, it’s always amazing how much material comes out for sure. Josh is good for sandwich filling for a while 👍🏼
Anytime and LoL!!
On an estate I use to use a lawn mower to collect the the thatch!
Think the petrol one looked superior. Usually when i scarify the grass I use a leaf blower to tidy the mess up.
Yes, if you have a powerful blower it’s works really well.
Very disappointed with the height adjustment lever on the electric Sa-32e. It became loose after only three lots of scarification and wouldn't stay in position. Managed to tighten up the small screw that holds the lever in place (behind the front wheel) and it's much firmer now. However, in my opinion the design could have been much better.
Available in the US?
go for the petrol and go the distance
Perfect if required 👍🏼
James, you look like you've spent a bit of time walking behind a machine in your time😅 years ago I bought some universal mower blades with spring attachments for scarifying and they were absolutely brutal on the lawns😬
Haha, yeah I ran a gardening, landscaping and fencing company years ago. I’ve never personally used a scarifying mower blade, I believe Oregon use to make them. Thanks Nathan 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation you have the..let's get it done walk of a business owner at work 😅
