John Lithgow's season on Dexter was amazing.
He really elevated that show in his season, it’s a great show but it had dipped a little, and it just wooshed up with John, and it seemed effortless on his part
If there's anything you need to see in this lifetime as a observer of the art of acting it would be John Lithgow and Gary Oldman having a discussion about playing Churchill.
Where is that discussion? Where’s the discussion with Oldman? This is Bacon and Lithgow discussing Churchill. I’ve only found separate interviews of Oldman and Lithgow discussing playing Winston Churchill. ??
I was thinking I would so love to see LIthgow and Oldman discussing their approaches to the character. Would be so cool. Or maybe uncomfortable?

Great episode! I began my enjoyment of John Lithgow in The Manhattan Project (1986) and Kevin Bacon in Flatliners (1990). Then I saw Footloose after that. Best Actors on Actors I've seen.
These are two icons on TV, Film, Theatre that have been around for decades!

Not these two, but I was watching an actor roundtable interview which (among others) had Willem Dafoe and James Franco on it. I completely forgot that Dafoe literally plays Franco's dad in Spider-Man!!
In my opinion his best performance was in Murder in the first. Absolutely stunning...

Criminally underrated. Lithgow is a giant ...Bacon always more and more refined each role, if you take away social media and our cult of personality, you forget that his brand supersedes his resume, which is unfortunate. I still feel great sadness that he, as many was taken advantage of, by Madoff.

Kevin Bacon is one of those guys where I can never tell if he's being sincere or acting. But I agree with whomever said this was too serious. I wonder if there was a better conversation happening and this was just edited this way?

These actors on actors recordings are cool but they are also very serious. At the end of the day, they are just actors. I wish they would lighten up a bit.
This series gets very talented and experienced actors. The reason these actors are so talented and experienced is because they take their job seriously. Just like any other successful person in any other job, you're more likely to be successful if you take what you do seriously
DominicanOps a lot depends on the pairing, I’ve seen some really funny ones. Notice that they are almost always pushing their current movie at the time so sometimes the type of movie plays a part.
