You should of generalized it more, and said people. It was probably identified as hate speech because of putting the "american" in front of public, as I am pretty sure that if you said, Chinese public, or Indian public, and do the same thing it would be considered hate speech too. It might actually be racist to make a post like this about another country, I dont think the algorithm is catching that your from the country in question.
If this is the case, at least they are applying hate speech guidelines evenly in this case so I guess ill give facebook credit on that.

The second clip showing a student’s paper just made my point about people being stupid. You don’t ask kids to do something like “draw the teacher” because you’re going to get a very honest response in their artwork. They will draw you as they see you. And, if I was that student’s parent, I’d have your job for calling them stupid, in writing no less.

The Meme at the first of this segment about the farmers and the commentor said that most people just go to Kroger's, reminds me of another similar mindset from (I think the 70's) when the Idaho Dairy Farmers were protesting the current low milk prices by dumping 1,000's of gallons of their milk into the Snake River. When the interviewer asks the young lady how it would affect her being able to get milk for her family, she replied that it wouldn't affect her because she buys her milk at the store. It seems that our education system was failing even back then,

I grew up on a farm in the 60s and 70s. One day some hippies from Boston had their van break down on their way to San Francisco and we helped them out. They were all confused when they were asked to go to the garden and help pick peas, corn, and other veggies for dinner. They had no idea how to pick peas or that they were in a pod. That's just one example. When we asked them where they thought peas come from they replied, "Well, from a can at the store, of course." They actually stayed a few extra days after we fixed the van because they were fascinated to learn where food actually comes from. I think they left when they figured out how much work it takes to grow it.

My husband and I are rare exceptions. We both went to art school (where we met) and now we both have well paying full time jobs, and he has paid off his loans. I attribute it to the fact that the school was a design specific school and catered to a client driven career rather than a tortured artist pov. We both learned how to do graphic design, use adobe products, and other computer based art as well as the art foundations. Now, the school did allow for freedom, and if you wanted to spend four years drawing what you wanted, you could, but a lot of my class mates that did that are still struggling to make ends meet. So even in art school, college can be a great tool, but you have to be intentional and make a plan for what you're going to do when you get out and not just assume that once you have a degree, you'll be good.

I love when people ask questions like "what would you do with 30 minutes alone in a room with Beyonce". Like that sort of depends on what she wants to do. Am i just supposed to assume that she wants me and is willing to do anything i ask her to just because she's alone in a room with me? Or am i supposed to just use force because I'm alone in a room for this time and no one can intervene? Like the whole thing relies on her consent and participation, and that seems like kind of a stretch to me. Dumb question. Hell she must be well into her 40s anyway, she was a star when i was a little kid.

We don't make a lot of garbage in our house. There's usually only two of us and we fill up a 20 litres bin in the kitchen each week. There will be various scraps from the craft room and bathrooms, as well as the cat litter box, of course. Over Christmas with 12 people staying in the house I'm pretty sure it was a bag of rubbish a day. I know that the dishwasher went at least twice a day but hey, we're in Australia, it's summer, and we have solar panels on our roof! But now that we're back down to three people in the house we are having one and a half 20 litre garbage bags a week. Mountain Dew is just a soda brand name, no it was not "meant to be mixed with moonshine", where the hell do you get this stuff? And mountain dew is just one is the many, many slang terms for moonshine, it doesn't have any specific reference to where it came from. It's not like wine, where they name it after the region the grapes came from. Traditionally there was about a 99% chance that any moonshine you saw was from a mountain, since it was just commonly done in the mountain regions where is was wooded and sparsely populated and full of hollows and valleys.

I think I heard that illiteracy in the 1500s and before was based on how well someone could read\write Latin.... So... Calling someone illiterate then meant that they might have actually be able to ready better than our current highschoolers.

    • @justforever96
      @justforever96 5 місяців тому +1

Who do you think was going around keeping track of literacy rates in the 1500s? Do you think the church was like doing exams and only passing those who read Latin? If you read about literacy rates in the 1500s those numbers are all determined by modern historians by analyzing the evidence. If they are ignoring documents in English or French or German and only counting Latin, we have a problem.
Although 99% of them will be on Latin, that was as the universal language of education and intellectual discourse back then, so anyone who was trained to write anything most often wrote in Latin. If they spoke English they probably didn't write it very well. Latin allowed any scholar or cleric from any region to converse with any other, because they all knew Latin. Generally, if a person didn't speak Latin they weren't educated.

Walmart, N Lacrosse, Rapid City, South Dakota, 1/09/24. Every freaking aisle I went down and it was always couples, her on oneside, him on the other, cart in the middle. Never said "EXCUSE ME" so many times in my life.

3:28 It's still played Tyler. You can't call it what you and I knew it as, but they were calling it Kill the Pill in schools, and around really young kids.

That's the thing, it never meant "smear the gay kid". Queer didn't have the same meaning originally that it does now. Queer meant (and still means) odd. And the odd one out was the guy with the ball.
But everyone gets offended so easily without thinking they don't realize, that words have multiple meanings.

If your phone isn't charging you can also get a needle and try scraping out inside the charging port. A lot of times little bits of junk will build up over time and block the charger from going completely.

Estimates are that if everyone ate 5-10 roaches a day.. we could lower the roach population by 10%

That, uh, football game we can't name anymore is one of the most human games in existence. I remember telling my dad what we called it and he laughed saying "we came up with that game too, we just called it 'get him!'". That game will never die, even if not passed on boys will independently invent it every single generation.

Hello from Georgia! Love your channel and the community that's sprung up around it. Love the Deev channel, too! My father-in-law and mother-in-law each had moonshine based cough "medicine; his was Starlite peppermints dissolved in a pint of shine, hers was lemon drops in shine. They said it would either quiet your cough or make you forget you had one...probably both! They were right. I leave you with this joke: How does a moonshiner check ID?
    Who's boy are you?
    (Go Dawgs - sic 'em!)

Went to a store the other week where people were blocking the aisles. So standing there waiting for someone to move so can get through. People crowded around me, elbows, bumping and such. Then out of the clear blue came the answer, a loud unmuted fart burst forth from my asshole. That cleared the way. LOL

In the summer of ninth grade, I had a class in the summer where you tried 4 different things in 4 weeks. On one of them we visited a farm. One of the girls did not know that milk came from cows and refused to touch one to milk it. I told her not to ask where cottage cheese came from. This was in the mid 80’s.
