I was a 4th generation JW. My great grand mother, grand parents, and parents were JW, not including all the various aunts, uncles, cousins, friends ect… who were all JW. For anyone who hasn’t been a JW before, it can be hard to understand why JW’s seem so difficult to reach. You could show us all the plain verses that show Jesus is God, yet it doesn’t seem to phase us. Unfortunately no matter what scripture you showed us, we had already preemptively rejected all other possible interpretations besides what we’ve been told it meant by the Organization, even if it meant doing the most illogical mental gymnastics. The reasons for this run much deeper than most people realize. When you are raised in the Organization, you are taught that everyone outside of the JW Organization have been tricked by Satan and Satan is using them as pawns in an attempt to trip up JW members and harm Jehovah’s one true church. Any material or teachings that contradict the WatchTower’s teachings are considered false and evil, especially the doctrine of the Trinity. This is drilled into us relentlessly throughout the week. We would even have mid week meetings specifically geared toward refuting the Trinity, all the possible verses “unbelievers” may use against us, and the responses we should give. So when we were approached by anyone critical of our faith or teachings, we would immediately put a guard up with the belief that you have been fooled by Satan, and that Satan is using you to try and harm us. Accordingly, our mindset is that only the Watchtower’s interpretations are correct. Since our preconceived notion is that Jesus is Michael the Arch Angel for instance, Jehovah’s first and greatest creation, we would take any scripture that said otherwise and make it conform to what we already believed. In the mind of a JW, it’s unthinkable that the Organization can be wrong. And anytime in history the Organization has been wrong, we explain the reason is because Jehovah is giving us “new light” and progressively teaching and growing his church. I am beyond grateful that God showed me the truth, and he even saved some of my family members as well. I have a special place in my heart for JW members. Many are kind and honest people who have been deceived by the teachings of the Watchtower. The biggest things you can do is plant seeds and pray for them.
I couldn't agree more on this one. I was born in Poland in 1992, and EXACTLY THE SAME programming tacticts were performed at the meetings. Brainwashing twice a week...Since we were kids. They taught us that everything and everyone outside of the ''kingdom of hall'' was evil and that only jw's would survive armageddon..Happy to be Jesus's Witness today ( (8): But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Same here 4th generation. Oh wait it's just 1 generation ... 😆 I remember being "out in service" and came to a door with a person like this and thought 🤔 he's right, "we" are wrong. And the thing that was appalling was sisters pronouncing that guy dead at armageddon like they were the judge! I started researching after that and found out rather quickly that pretty much everything they taught (watchtower) was wrong. Not to mention the things I saw narcissistic elders doing and saying with the double standards, drinking 🥃, and hypocrisy ...
Very very nice comment helping people on the outside understand the mindset of JW's. My mom was raised beginning at the age of 4 but in the providence of God I was fortunate to escape before they could get to me. She's still in and has told me repeatedly there is nothing I can ever say to change her mind. To penetrate the mind of a JW literally take an act of God to open their eyes. I'm still praying for her deliverance but man, it is so frustrating to see so clearly the deceit, but that is the nature of deception. The one deceived is truly blind to the truth. ...no matter how glaring it is! But no brainwash job is absolute. Spot on. Unfortunately "Satan's laws" ( the ARC( has to step in and give WT...JW's direction on Previous Tender Age Kids. I served Elder 2 years and couldn't take it. The Elders facilitated a pervert. Even Look aw Enforcement was shocked and what a horrible Witness in our community with that obstruction in the door to door work. WT needs to regroup and figure out the perverts in sheep's clothing.
Maple. . . . . what was the point made that caused you to consider who the real Jesus was ? I had a neighbor, who was a JW, help me move to his neighborhood. We became good friends. I began asking him one question, "how many Jesus' are there?" and which one is the right one, as there are a good dozen definitions in the world. I asked him that once a week for 5 years in a light hearted way. One day, he came over and said: "ok, I want to know the real JESUS......." So between the KIT and the NKJV, I explained why Jesus was God, and only as God the Son could he carry the weight of sin. He nodded and said "ok.....I accept the Jesus of the Bible as God and not ''a god''

What we bow out of is debates. Studying scriptural doctrine is sort of our thing, but we want to do it in context. From our perspective, it can be similarly frustrating to us when we read 1 Corinthians 8:6 or 15;24-28 or John 14:28, 17:3 or 20:17 and trinitarians avoid the scriptures or change the subject or say "what he really meant was literally the exact opposite of what he said."
No matter how much you show these people what the Bible say, they will always go with what the Watchtower says. My husband is the prime example. I realized this and although it is disheartening to see how they choose man made magazines over the Bible, only God can open their heart and eyes. In this day of technology most choose to be ignorant

In the JW Bible it says “I am the fine shepherd”. They changed the word “good” for “fine”. This is because Jesus also says no one is good but God. They don’t call Jesus God so they can’t have Jesus call himself the good shepherd. So they changed the Bible so Jesus isn’t God

I had very similar discussions when Jehovah's witnesses came to my house. They kept coming and I had more questions and we had more discussions. They eventually brought the head guy and he couldn't answer my questions. I very bluntly said Look I'm not going to become a Jehovah's witness and reject Christ. They never came back.
It's a shame that people are more concerned with what religion they are rather than what the Bible teaches us, if you are a Christian, you follow Christ, not a religion, religions are man made. I was once a JW and left the organization years ago. I lost my son to the organization because they teach that if you leave the organization, you are an apostate and bad association, my son was no longer allowed to talk to me, it's as if I died in their eyes. It's so great to see an ex-muslim that has a zeal for the truth according to the Bible, you put some of us Christians to shame. I pray that God will continue to bless you and your ministry.
Very true I studied with jws for 12 years one day I came to the realisation that following Jesus Christ is a way of life not a man made church. In fact Jesus dealt with this issue on earth with the Pharisees etc and said they put heavy loads on peoples shoulders… I refuse to step into church, it’s just one big indoctrination and one big business. Well, Jesus had common Jewish clothing and sandals. No gold rings, threads in his fabric or crowns or hats like the pope wears. To look at tge pope you would think he was some kind of King.

They're just arguing about their religion. Neither of them has a clue what the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about. The JW thinks that they are going to live on earth forever in the flesh, and the so-called Christian Thinks that he is born again.
I was raised as a JW and would also ask the question would Jesus approve of shunning anyone who no longer believes or has lost their way, I don't think he would approve..being the good shepherd

Wow! I'm so thankful, I found your channel. JW believe, that the archangel Michael is Jesus! This is one of the first things, they teach! That's where the whole confusion is coming from. I was reading with them their bible a little while over 15 years ago. Then I had the feeling, something is wrong and I quit. Last year I was born again through watching a video and got my prayer language. And I experienced deliverence. JW don't even believe, that this language still exists. Or casting out demons is a part of a believer in christ. I had to experience a lot of doubt and backsliding because of their tachings. Now I'm trying to get all this confusion out... Thank you for your teachings. Where I live (South of Germany), I can't find a good "church", who does teach the word of god clearly.😔 I was raised as an catholic and I never understood, why the pope would be the father... This is a perfect example of a born again Christian. When you experience Jesus Christ yourself and you begin reading the Bible that day. Over a 3 year period your knowledge will surpass people that have been taught Scripture all their life, but have learnt through other people's teachings. The Holy Spirit is the best teacher. Actually John 1:1 was written by John . They lose the "a god" argument when you look at John 1:3 that states in their own KIT (Kingdom Interlinear Translation) that says: ALL things came into existence through him, and apart from him, NOT EVEN ONE THING came into existence". If they state Jesus was created, by default, that makes Him a ''thing" . and destroys their concept of Colossians of Jesus creating "all [other] things".

That part at the end was very interesting. How can they follow a religion that can be so easily pulled apart? They know it can get pulled apart by a knowledgeable Christian and they know that they don’t have answers for the questions posed to them. You just demonstrated why the reformation was such a God-sent refocusing on the Bible being the only authority. All of these cults use the authoritarianism of their "church" to circumvent the simple reading of the word. Anyone can read what Jesus said and understand that He was professing to be God. They literally tried to stone Him for it and later crucified Him for it. Anyone can read that He said multiple times that He was the door, the gate of the sheep, the Way, the Truth, and the LIfe.
I think she began to be confused so she had to head back to her instructor and get answers to her confusion. It's easy to see she was getting flustered by him knowing more about the subject and she was supposed to be the one incharge. She was there to convince him she and her JW religious teachings were powerful and then she got derailed. If they are false Christians, why don't you use a bible translation with God's name restored? When is it that you have been out preaching the good news of God's kingdom? Jesus christ himself said go and make disciples, not just a few, everyone who calls themselves Christians are under obligation to preach especially now in these last days!

I've never understood JWs belief that a man could attone for the sins of humankind past, present and future. Only God can pay the price for the multitude of sins. When I says this, they have no answer.
There is a big mote around JW beliefs. Always good to discuss with them definitions. For example, what does the word Begotten mean? What does the word Firstborn mean? Where does scripture say Jesus was "Created?" Doing so avoids the same titles argument that makes no sense but one that they hold on to. It's much harder for them to defend the above questions from scripture.

Wow! He kept cutting you off. He did not want to go deeper and yet the scriptures that you shared with them only confirmed the Truth and that is when they were basically done. The crazy thing is, their Bible old testament refers to Jehovah as the Shepherd of his people, and has cross references to Jesus being the Good Shepherd! (Specifically Ezekiel 34 to John 10!) This happens over and over again in their Bible, showing the connection of titles to Jehovah with the same titles for Jesus. What's more is jesus says, "'I am' the Good Shepherd..." The same wording by which Jehovah said what his name was to Moses, "I am, who I am." All the "I am" passages that Jesus used to identify himself are claims to his Diety. Jesus IS Jehovah, not the Father or Holy Spirit, but the Son! In their Bible, regarding Rev. 1, it is Jehovah speaking in vs 8, and then he says, ...and i became dead, vs18.

Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me. Then ask them is Jehovah a false God or a true God? Obviously they will say he's the only true God then ask them was Jesus a false God or a true God? They will say he is a true God but not almighty God he was created by Jehovah then point them back to the above verse in isaiah.
I believe a lot of the Jehovah's witness teachings I don't have a single bad thing to say about them every one I met is very Christian and humble and they are the only ones who will sit down with you and debate Scripture and they don't try and shut you down when you have a different belief than they do

That's the difference of "Christian" as an adjective vs. "Christian" as a noun. One is having traits you would typically associate with being religious, the other is being a real Christian, or Christ-follower. They are very good at concealing their feelings, because they are on a mission to earn their salvation. You're a mark to add to their roster. Being a Christian is coming to believe on and trust Christ as Lord and Savior. It leaves the falsehood of "good works" behind as a means of being right with God, and instead focuses on God's work on the cross as being a payment for sins that we could never, ever, make. Every cult in the world is based on works-righteousness, and you will often find clean-cut, well-mannered people putting up a "Christian" (adjective) front. Like the Pharisees that Jesus rebuked, these people are white-washed tombs who have fresh faces but inside are full of dead men's bones. What can wash away your sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

I was a 4th generation JW. My great grand mother, grand parents, and parents were JW, not including all the various aunts, uncles, cousins, friends ect… who were all JW.
For anyone who hasn’t been a JW before, it can be hard to understand why JW’s seem so difficult to reach. You could show us all the plain verses that show Jesus is God, yet it doesn’t seem to phase us. Unfortunately no matter what scripture you showed us, we had already preemptively rejected all other possible interpretations besides what we’ve been told it meant by the Organization, even if it meant doing the most illogical mental gymnastics. The reasons for this run much deeper than most people realize.
When you are raised in the Organization, you are taught that everyone outside of the JW Organization have been tricked by Satan and Satan is using them as pawns in an attempt to trip up JW members and harm Jehovah’s one true church. Any material or teachings that contradict the WatchTower’s teachings are considered false and evil, especially the doctrine of the Trinity. This is drilled into us relentlessly throughout the week. We would even have mid week meetings specifically geared toward refuting the Trinity, all the possible verses “unbelievers” may use against us, and the responses we should give. So when we were approached by anyone critical of our faith or teachings, we would immediately put a guard up with the belief that you have been fooled by Satan, and that Satan is using you to try and harm us. Accordingly, our mindset is that only the Watchtower’s interpretations are correct. Since our preconceived notion is that Jesus is Michael the Arch Angel for instance, Jehovah’s first and greatest creation, we would take any scripture that said otherwise and make it conform to what we already believed. In the mind of a JW, it’s unthinkable that the Organization can be wrong. And anytime in history the Organization has been wrong, we explain the reason is because Jehovah is giving us “new light” and progressively teaching and growing his church.
I am beyond grateful that God showed me the truth, and he even saved some of my family members as well. I have a special place in my heart for JW members. Many are kind and honest people who have been deceived by the teachings of the Watchtower. The biggest things you can do is plant seeds and pray for them.
I couldn't agree more on this one. I was born in Poland in 1992, and EXACTLY THE SAME programming tacticts were performed at the meetings. Brainwashing twice a week...Since we were kids. My mom was raised beginning at the age of 4 but in the providence of God I was fortunate to escape before they could get to me. She's still in and has told me repeatedly there is nothing I can ever say to change her mind. To penetrate the mind of a JW literally take an act of God to open their eyes. I had a neighbor, who was a JW, help me move to his neighborhood. We became good friends. I began asking him one question, "how many Jesus' are there?" and which one is the right one, as there are a good dozen definitions in the world. I asked him that once a week for 5 years in a light hearted way. One day, he came over and said: "ok, I want to know the real JESUS......." So between the KIT and the NKJV, I explained why Jesus was God, and only as God the Son could he carry the weight of sin. He nodded and said "ok.....I accept the Jesus of the Bible as God and not ''a god''

Yeshua came to reveal the true Father but the Jews/Isrealites wouldn't listen. Instead they rejected Yeshua and handed him over to the Roman's to be Crucified. Yeshua came to redeem/free them from the Curse of Yhwh. You don't get redeemed from something good, you get redeemed from something bad. Nothing bad comes from Yeshua/Father.

What we bow out of is debates. Studying scriptural doctrine is sort of our thing, but we want to do it in context.

I had very similar discussions when Jehovah's witnesses came to my house. They kept coming and I had more questions and we had more discussions. They eventually brought the head guy and he couldn't answer my questions. I very bluntly said Look I'm not going to become a Jehovah's witness and reject Christ. They never came back.

I was once a JW and left the organization years ago. I lost my son to the organization because they teach that if you leave the organization, you are an apostate and bad association, my son was no longer allowed to talk to me, it's as if I died in their eyes. Very true I studied with jws for 12 years one day I came to the realisation that following Jesus Christ is a way of life not a man made church. In fact Jesus dealt with this issue on earth with the Pharisees etc and said they put heavy loads on peoples shoulders… I refuse to step into church, it’s just one big indoctrination and one big business. They lose the "a god" argument when you look at John 1:3 that states in their own KIT (Kingdom Interlinear Translation) that says: ALL things came into existence through him, and apart from him, NOT EVEN ONE THING came into existence". If they state Jesus was created, by default, that makes Him a ''thing" . and destroys their concept of Colossians of Jesus creating "all [other] things".

That part at the end was very interesting. How can they follow a religion that can be so easily pulled apart? They know it can get pulled apart by a knowledgeable Christian and they know that they don’t have answers for the questions posed to them. You just demonstrated why the reformation was such a God-sent refocusing on the Bible being the only authority. All of these cults use the authoritarianism of their "church" to circumvent the simple reading of the word. Anyone can read what Jesus said and understand that He was professing to be God. They literally tried to stone Him for it and later crucified Him for it. Anyone can read that He said multiple times that He was the door, the gate of the sheep, the Way, the Truth, and the LIfe.
I think she began to be confused so she had to head back to her instructor and get answers to her confusion. It's easy to see she was getting flustered by him knowing more about the subject and she was supposed to be the one incharge. She was there to convince him she and her JW religious teachings were powerful and then she got derailed. Hope she went home to do research in the real Bible ,but I'm sure her JW teacher put her mind at ease for now

There is a big mote around JW beliefs. Always good to discuss with them definitions. For example, what does the word Begotten mean? What does the word Firstborn mean? Where does scripture say Jesus was "Created?" Doing so avoids the same titles argument that makes no sense but one that they hold on to. It's much harder for them to defend the above questions from scripture.

The crazy thing is, their Bible old testament refers to Jehovah as the Shepherd of his people, and has cross references to Jesus being the Good Shepherd! (Specifically Ezekiel 34 to John 10!) This happens over and over again in their Bible, showing the connection of titles to Jehovah with the same titles for Jesus. What's more is jesus says, "'I am' the Good Shepherd..." The same wording by which Jehovah said what his name was to Moses, "I am, who I am." All the "I am" passages that Jesus used to identify himself are claims to his Diety. Jesus IS Jehovah, not the Father or Holy Spirit, but the Son! In their Bible, regarding Rev. 1, it is Jehovah speaking in vs 8, and then he says, ...and i became dead, vs18.

Why is it that trinitarians are ranting about Jesus Christ as God, when Jesus as God have no benefits to mankind? They argue that he exist before time and that he is not created, equal to the Father, all lies, as if his (Jesus') relevance depends on them. All these claim are dumb and stupids. What the world needs is a savior, I'll be damned if God send another God who will, if it's true, will be another offended party. Another God is of no use to a sinful mankind!!! Even if (hypothetical) truth tells us, there are millions of Gods, without a savior what good is that be? Trinitarians brains are seared for they are arguing about falsehood without benefits for mankind. Only Jesus as a holy man make Jesus relevant. Because to pay for sins of mankind we need exactly as that. The wages of sin is death!!! Only a created being die!!! Gods cannot pay for our sins owe/owed upon them (plural according to trinitrians). I believe a lot of the Jehovah's witness teachings I don't have a single bad thing to say about them every one I met is very Christian and humble and they are the only ones who will sit down with you and debate Scripture and they don't try and shut you down when you have a different belief than they do

That's the difference of "Christian" as an adjective vs. "Christian" as a noun. One is having traits you would typically associate with being religious, the other is being a real Christian, or Christ-follower.
They are very good at concealing their feelings, because they are on a mission to earn their salvation. You're a mark to add to their roster.
Being a Christian is coming to believe on and trust Christ as Lord and Savior. It leaves the falsehood of "good works" behind as a means of being right with God, and instead focuses on God's work on the cross as being a payment for sins that we could never, ever, make.
Every cult in the world is based on works-righteousness, and you will often find clean-cut, well-mannered people putting up a "Christian" (adjective) front. Like the Pharisees that Jesus rebuked, these people are white-washed tombs who have fresh faces but inside are full of dead men's bones.
