Thanks for posting. What a beautiful piece of water. Always wanted to see that Cr. and the JK Old Growth Forest, which look's to be right nearby from the map you showed. Outstanding.
@@WadeHarrison some of those over hangs might be harder to squeeze under. Few spots already looked tight to get under but everything looks different from our point of view as the viewer so you would know better than us
Yeah it’s a post mold graphic we used them before at Bonafide when a mold in graphic was accidentally left off a kayak you can clean the service and apply one and using a heat gun it will mold into the plastic but looking at that boat it doesn’t seem to want to melt properly
I was camping with the kids on this creek about 20 years ago and it poured all night long…Ran part of the upper and lower in a tandem and had all I could handle:). Need to get back up there.
😂 so true it would be if you knew that it was all clear but there’s so many blind drops on this you don’t want to roost into them this day was 6 hours long took us 3 plus hours to do the upper which is just 2 miles and did half the lower and with it getting dark at like 5pm we ran out of daylight I have headlamps with me so we hiked up to the road and jogged to the takeout we got all the goods out the way and was awesome day!
@@WadeHarrison We call it explore kayaking, did a trip a few years ago, started at 930, we finished at 4pm, 17 portages. I watched the video 3x already, and glad the water was not higher, or those over hanging trees would have been a issue, enjoyed the video alot.
Great video! I literally was thinking, at work today, about renting a uhaul for the long weekend trips 😮 For changing, maybe a generator and a little heater. (Minnesota guy here) Also…that’s a sick effin creek!!!
Yeah, he just got back from a trip and needed a vehicle, he went to rent a car and it was insanely high $$$ so he was like might as well just rent a u haul and it came out way cheaper and the ting is a beast.
@@WadeHarrison Thanks for the reply, also curios on your opinion on paddle length. I'm 6'1" and have been paddling a 194cm AT SL2 for years, would a 200cm be noticeably different? I really like the SL2 so am leaning towards the Shogun. Newer AT paddles don't appear to be what they used to be, and while Full Circle paddle appears to be a rebirth of AT, there really expensive and there is no history.
Yeah we did almost the whole thing but with portages Fair warning get on it real early we ran out of daylight with it get dark at like 5pm so halfway into the lower santeetlah so took off and jog the road to the truck so we did upper and probably half the lower but next time I know how to manage it better still was really fun day
Hidden? C'mon now Wade haha, everyone just didn't know that Graham County was worth driving to when it rains and not just when Cheoah runs. Now you have to go share it with the whole internets🤣
Oh man! My favorite kind of creeking. I love those bed rock narrow squeeze plays.
so fun
Man! The Code looks perfect in those conditions!
Pretty much designed for this type of creeks
Thanks for posting. Brings back memories, paddled it some time in the mid 90's. Such a beautiful, and fun creek.
your welcome

Yeah have been wanting to get in there for awhile thanks for watching
Juicy flows for such a tight spaced creek
Yeah I want to go back when it as least double that would love to see that at real high flow

That's a creeker's dream!!! Very nice!!
One of the best micro creeks in the southeast that’s for sure
Yeah! Paddled this in 1996 or 1997 although I think we put on lower than you guys did. Such a magical run.
Yeah that’s awesome it been on my list for awhile it was just getting over there
1:48 I'd never put two and two together on that; that's why all the graphics have rubbed off my Delirious! Haha. Another epic video!

Love that Red Old German Dinosaur 🙂und den Innnenausbau vom Van :-)
I’m a fan of dinosaur 🦖
That looked like a great day kayaking. I want to check this run out.
Yeah if you can time the rains it’s worth it
You know it's good when Wade is giggling half of the video.
I have too much fun when it's a new run!

It’s good camping spot up there
looks like good clean fun!
Yeah it’s awesome little micro creek it’s a extremely difficult run to line up
Looks like it was a speed run, lots of good small rivers and creek throughout the Carolina s

That is my favorite kind of stuff to run. Can't wait for the rivers to melt here
Yeah got lucky this one was going
Sweet run man ! Great video as always 🤙🏼
Thanks hunter!
I got to check that out
Hard to catch with water but worth it

Looks like you are paddling a Werner Surge, can we look forward to a review soon? Would like to hear your comparison of the Surge vs the Shogun.
Yeah o have used both u actually own 2 Werner surge’s I will do something on it soon

Santeetlah is sick.I’ve always wanted to do a full lap all the way to the lake.

Code heaven 😀
This is where this design shines
I wonder if Helene messed it up.
That area got very little damage so I’m saying no outside some trees here and there
I was hoping you would post the edit of this river!
Yeah nothing really out on this run so wanted to get something out for paddlers wanting to know about this run…
Looks fun! I bet it would be ever better a little higher! Where is it at?
@@jehu-kayak it’s right on the border TN/NC off the skyway
7:33 I think every southeast boater knows that panicked feeling from when you dry out in the wrong place.
Hahah yeah Josh just got back from big water runs in Russia on a trip
I told him he lost his south east hips 😂
Looks great! With how many kayaks you have access to how do you decide on which one to use?
Depending On where I'm paddling if its tight creeky I'm in the Code if its big water with big holes I'm in the scorch
👍
It’s so fun hard to catch though
Thanks for sharing, looks sick AF. Any idea of the level? Was the cement block under the bridge covered?
It was just covered yes I a want to go back when it’s at least double this flow
@@WadeHarrison Double flow... let's go!
That boat color/pattern tho!
To paddle this you have to comfortable with yourself and not care because it’s the ugliest kayak I have ever had 😂
@@WadeHarrison i think it's pretty cool.
@@adamfike9730 I think it looks like someone went to town with a couple paintball guns lol but yeah it grew on me after awhile
I hate taking off at dusk
Yeah Its sucks on a run like this
5:34 "I don't want to mess with over here" then instantly does something that looks 10 times scarier. HA ha
😂 sometimes better on the other side

So true paul I tell them all good luck timing this one with good water hahah
That's a lot of wood
Yeah these micro creeks will clog up pretty easy
I love dagger boats, but their colors look like they lost at paintball. worst look in the industry
I agree and because of my videos This color has been redone 😂 it’s not like this anymore
