We just got off the Discovery Princess yesterday!! This ship is AMAZING!! I love that you gave cruise director Cole a shoutout because he really was the absolute best and we had the time of our lives every time he was in charge of the event! Totally agree on the TP location! We also kept our roll on the counter! We recommend the luxury sailboat in Cabo. Hands down the best excursion we booked, and we did excursions at each port. We snorkeled, saw whales and a pod of about 200 dolphins, and had an amazing time cruising on the sailboat and getting tipped to about 45 degrees! It was an adrenaline rush as well as fun and relaxing. Overall 10/10 experience and already put a deposit down for our next cruise!
This comment is 7 months later, but I’m so glad I found you. We are cruising next week on Discovery to Alaska for seven nights. I have watched so many videos, but your detail that dials into the ship and everything going on a cruise is impeccable! I am so glad I stumbled upon you in my search on UA-cam. You both just answered my questions in one video after months of my searches. Thank you!
Discovery Princess is also my very favorite ship! My spouse and I were thrilled to be the very first guests welcomed aboard on the inaugural sailing, which was the same itinerary you had. More recently we were on the Adam Savage themed cruise in November which was one of the best cruises ever although it was short. Now I am looking forward to our very short Easter cruise on the ship.
Ya'll are my favorite to watch! We just returned from this exact cruise on the Discovery, and we are already planning our next cruise. It was my first cruise ever, and I've definitely become a cruiser! I can't wait to watch your next adventure, keep the videos and reviews coming :)
I had an incredibly enjoyable experience on the Discovery Princess, so much so that I've decided to book another cruise. Now, every morning I find myself eagerly counting the days until embarkation day. lol
Thank you so much for this cruise series. My husband and I went to Alaska on Discovery Princess this past summer, and watching y’all enjoy the ship we have such good memories of was such a comfort this month. Y’all are such a gift to cruise UA-cam.
Thank you for this whole series. We board Discovery in 24 days and can't wait. You've given us lots of ideas for things to investigate as we explore the ship; we're definitely going to be reviewing the comfort of all the seating so we can find the most comfortable spot. Thanks again for all the great, positive, content.
Wife and I have the same trip booked in Oct on Discovery to celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary. Your daily vlogs and this review have been so helpful. We did Alaska on Royal Princess last year.
This is exactly the cruise we are interested in taking. We're seniors who have never taken a cruise, and this looks like a good one. Your blog and review has been so helpful in deciding! Thank you! I'll probably watch the whole series after we take the cruise. I didn't watch all of your videos about this cruise, although I watched quite a bit of each, just because I want to leave some surprises for us! Lol. Don't worry, I'll be binge watching the rest of your channel in the meantime!
Thanks guys for your content on the cruise! Very informative. You two are such a cute couple and you feel like old friends even though we’ve never met. Just love your videos
Great series. We have a couple cruises, Sept on Royal from Vancouver to LA and this cruise in February. Very happy that I found you vlog series on this itinerary, well done and very informative.
We were on Discovery for Alaska last summer and the Disney Wonder for Alaska in 2022. We enjoyed both cruises but the food was SO much better on Discovery! Next time, highly recommend the 360 dining experience - it was the best meal at sea that we've had and it was SO fun. Great vlogs as always, nice work y'all, it was fun to tag along with you!
I just discovered your channel. Great videos! I sailed on Discovery Princess last November and will be going back this November. I totally agree about the location of the TP!
Really enjoyed following along with you guys in this cruise. I found you while looking for reviews on the Discovery Princess because we're booked on the same itinerary in October on this ship. We agree this itinerary is the best one going, in fact this will be our 3rd time and 3rd cruise line doing it. Last one was on Celebrity Solstice and the one before years ago in the Holland America Oosterdam. Can't get enough of it! 😂 We're among your followers now and look forward to following along on your adventures. You both are awesome! Take care.
Our family sailed on a 15 day cruise on the Discovery in March 2024 to Hawaii. It was amazing! We too, had a helicopter medi-vac and we also had to go back to Kona, for a sick passenger, needing medical intervention. I would say the average age on that cruise was in the 70’s and 80 years old. The ship was very quiet, passenger wise, after nine pm. Hot tubs were a must and the Lotus Spa was also super fun to go to and relax. And in all, a great cruise! Highly recommend! 😊
Loved watching you guys do this cruise ! We are booked on this exact ship / cruise end of this year, we are coming from New Zealand. Now we are looking forward to it even more !! Keep up the excellent job you guys do with these vlogs
If you're looking for Broadway shows book a cruise on any of the original 4 Oasis class ships from Royal Caribbean - Oasis of the Seas (Cats), Allure of the Seas ( Mama Mia!), Harmony of the Seas (Grease) or Symphony of the Seas (Hairspray). Those are all full Broadway shows. They also have the Aqua theater shows which are just amazing and an ice skating show. Good included dining and specialty restaurants. Tons of activities everyday as well as a full walking track that goes completely around the ship. Yes, those are mega ships and hold a lot of people but Royal does a good job of managing things so it doesn't feel overwhelming and there are quiet places to relax. Princess is great but Royal really can't be beat for entertainment in my opinion. This was a great vlog series. Discovered you because my son is in the Coast Guard in Los Angeles and sent me a short video he took of the Discovery Princess from his Coast Guard boat. It's such a pretty ship and I'm looking for a cruise to Mexico so it prompted me to seek out some more info on the ship and the Mexico itinerary which led me to discovering your channel. Love your style and thoroughness and looking forward to exploring more of your videos.
Loved your Discovery Princess blogs and appreciate your review/wrap-up. I was on 3rd and 4th ever Discovery Princess cruises in April 2022, and still my favorite ship. Also, I agree Cruise Director Cole is great. Was on my last summer 10-day Alaska cruise from San Francisco (2 sea days at beginning and at end). Thanks for all your vlogs. 😀
I love the Discovery Princess. We went the week before Christmas and are going again in 17 days! I agree with the cruise director. I am looking forward to watching him again. I have never been in Take Five but it is on my list now for sure!
Enjoyed all your vlogs since I did a Mexican Riviera Cruise a year ago on the Royal Princess! I think I would like the Discovery, especially the Take 5 Bar from what you reported! I found your point about the larger Princess ships very interesting, and would like to see how it plays out! Thank you for your informative comments!
We leave next Monday for the 5 day to Cabo (doing the 1/2 day sail/snorkel, otherwise staying on the ship) and it will be our first time Princess and we got a mini-suite to accommodate our teenager (super mature dude who will probably LOVE the jazz lounge). We've been Carnival cruisers for a long time and did the 5 day Cabo intinerary 2 Chrismases ago on Carnival. After watching your vlogs and this review, I am already eyeing the Christmas sailing next year on Discovery to Mexican Riviera. Hope to see you there!
Love this One thing I don’t like on discovery on a full ship is the midship elevator sometimes take a long time also sometimes when you do an Alaskan itinerary it’s a little bit harder to get a table in the buffet sometimes but you just have to be patient and you can get one My favorite ship will always be the Disney wonder but this is my close second definitely out of the princess fleet this is my favorite ship
I sailed on the Discovery in September of 22’ on an Alaskan cruise and it was phenomenal. Food, customer service, cabin(inside, yay!😜) were top notch! I’ve sailed on the Disney Dream as well and aside for character experiences and entertainment the cruise was lackluster. Princess has cruising down to a fine art Great wrap up you guys!🥰🙌🏾💋
We are taking our first cruise on Sky Princess to the western Caribbean. We did book the “catch by Rudi” our first night on the ship. I want the seafarer stew you had in the crab dish! Loved your videos & blogs…..hope we love our cruise as much as you did! Hello from 🇨🇦!
Love you guys!💕 Not related to this vlog, but I wanted to thank you for all your tips…no matter how small - they are extremely helpful. We go to Florida every year (we just got here yesterday), and in your travels you have recommended a collapsible clothes hamper. Oh my gosh - I bought one for this trip and it’s great. It’s awesome! Even my husband was impressed that got this! 😂 Thank you!
We love that! Isn't the collapsible hamper a huge help?! Having one place to put dirty clothes may seem like a small thing, but we miss it when we forget it!
Thank you so much for a comprehensive rundown! I'm looking forward to experiencing Discovery Princess this May to your home state of Alaska. You've given some great tips and a good all around review. It's good to know that the Medallion works so well. I like that you showed the quiet areas of the ship.
I loved watching your vlogs and I'm so happy you had such an amazing trip! We still haven't gone on a cruise yet but are really hoping to soon! For now, I just cruise vicariously through you guys!
We were on the Regal last week and the new app was working to message shipmates however at that time still no notifications to let you know you had a message. Just passing this along since you commented on it in your review. Awesome video series BTW!
I disembarked from the Discovery Princess this morning. Loved the cruise to the Mexican Riviera and the way the itinerary was built with sea day, port, port, port, then two more sea days. Our stateroom steward Jose was a ninja! Always attentive and friendly. We did eat mostly in the buffet and one thing that has changed from my first cruise on that ship is the addition of big salad bowls. I like big salads and lots of room to mix it all together. I agree with Sherry about the toilet paper. The one night we dined in the MDR (Gala Dinner), we were chatting with a few people about that issue and we all agreed it was poor placement. We did get off in Cabo and it was meh. When I go back I will do an excursion. Mazatlan was just as wonderful as 32 years ago! Friendly people and gorgeous city. We walked to the cathedral then hired a pulmonia for an hour tour. Wonderful experience! In PVR we did the tour you did. Truly the best value for the dollar! We bought tacos and beer at the Hacienda for lunch and 3 tacos and 1/2 beer each was $17. Huge portions too. The tequila tasting was so good. I am not a huge fan of it but the good stuff makes a huge difference. We bought the almond tequila. The ship remains bright and clean. The staff were amazing, so friendly and interesting. Although it was a sold out sailing, there were no lineups and it did not feel crowded. The entertainment was good and plentiful. I hope to be on that ship again! Thanks for the vlogs. You give great reviews and advice!
Just came off of the Caribbean Princess, and am regretting not buying that sweatshirt that Sherri is wearing! Had it in my hands, dang it. Glad you enjoyed your trip! Caribbean is an older girl, but we enjoyed our cruise as well.
Our first cruise on Princess is in May and it is on the Discovery to Alaska so I thoroughly enjoyed this series. Our first cruise was on Celebrity Century, which is no longer in service for Celebrity and it was a smaller ship so I am a little apprehesive that we won't find places to be "away" from all the people. I am not sure how warm it will be to find your spot on Deck 7 that you referred to, so hopefully we can find quiet spots indoors as well. We do have a balcony room.
One of these days I'll get on Discovery. My last Princess Cruise was on the Sky Princess just before covid. My next Princess Cruise is next year on the Ruby Princess round trip from San Francisco to Hawaii.
The Sapphire Princess has a wrap around Promenade deck. But... The Discovery Princess is MY favorite ship, so far. The chat feature is still in the app. I just used it for my two week cruise. Still no push notifications.
Great review! So exciting to see you find a cruise line that is such a great fit. Nothing better than a perfect cruise! At some point it would be cool to see you try another line (Holland America). We have had a lot of fun trying different ones as they all have something to offer.
We are so loving your reviews! It sure would be great if you happened to be on the Discovery 10 Dayer Total Solar Eclipse cruise. Best wishes to you both! Shar
We booked our first princess cruise after this. We usually stay beachfront in Puerto Vallarta ( where you filmed on departure), and now will try visiting our favorite place on the Discovery. Quick question, I cannot recall which dining room you said was your favorite. We enjoy a less formal experience. Thanks so much guys!😊
I’ve sailed on Discovery Princess a few times in 2022 during my Mexican Riviera cruise and stayed in a standard balcony cabin. Since I’m a solo cruiser I felt the standard balcony cabin was a perfect size for me. The point you made about the shower, that is….water splashing outside of the shower happened to me a few times. Overall, I thought it was a great cabin and I would definitely book a standard balcony again in the future.
My review.... Loved these videos. Loved that you show outfits. I want to see what people pack. Loved that you showed dinning. I for some reason now want snails. Told my husband eat them with bread. I loved that you showed prices.I want that pink jacket. I want to know what they are charging. I did want to see what you bought at Tequila place...I know it's none of my business. Also by my name you know I love slots. I would of liked to know how was the casino. Now I'm going to patiently wait for your next cruise.
So glad to see you in your house!! How long did it take to get home with your cancellation flight? YES. I loved all on my Discovery July 2022 except embarkation. They were having issues working out the "rule" that 1st summer & my Elite status meant nothing. However, I found a sweet dock guy supervisor who took me around all the lines after being in line over an hour in pouring down (partially covered) rain. He just took me right up & kept saying with 2 big mega ships side-by-side they were at a loss to handle it. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen again. Loved the ship on my own, loved the excursions though I was worried that I'd be odd-out by myself & be stuck with some boring person. Never had one single issue. I can't wait to try the sushi bar & especially Rudy's in March. Hugs to you both & thank you for sharing all your thoughts!!!
You two are really fun, hope to see you on a cruise sometime! And don't judge me but... I just use the kleenex dispenser right beside the toilet, where the TP should be!
I agree with you regarding promenade deck, however the Disney Wish does not have a promenade deck. Which is one thing I really miss. I have cruised on both Princess and Disney, I also agree that the food is better on Princess. FYI love love love you guys and your vlogs.
Hmm, hard to say, I think it depends on what you're looking for out of a package. There is more than just the beverages involved, so I would look at both packages and see if either of them really fit the way you travel, or if not getting a package and doing things individually may be better for you.
We will absolutely be booking this itinerary again! For safety reasons we don't give exact details about her position with Princess, but she works for them year round in their Alaska operations.
We are Disney Cruisers too and went on Royal in Alaska last summer. Loved Princess and would sail again in a heartbeat! My 18 year old son now says he’d pick Princess over Disney!
I'm taking your exact same cruise this 3/2/24.... Talking about how the bathroom so screwed up cracks me up because on the Ruby Princess, me being a 6'5" 380 lb guy, the sink was so close in front of the toilet, and located right towards it, that I ended up brushing my teeth while "doing my business" because the sink was literally inches from my face. lol tmi But yeah, the place is small. Looking forward to seeing how the Discovery room is that much bigger that you couldn't reach the tp in a few weeks. I totally agree with having the extra seating in the room. Which is why I chose an "obstructed balcony" on my next cruise. I really don't care about the view, but having that love seat with a table makes it really nice. Have you eaten at the Crown? My only other cruise, we ended up eating there twice because we couldn't get reservations anywhere else. But, honestly, I loved the place. So, after hearing you talk about Rudi's, should I eat their twice? I love seafood, granted the Crown had some great black cod the last time I ate there. Any excursions that you think are a must do? Granted, I'm kinda in the mindset of why pay more to get off the ship when you have already paid for it on the ship (with the Premium Package.) BTW, honestly, great vids of your trip!
I will be on Discovery in August. I've heard the new app has some glitches. How did it work for you, and how was their wi-fi? About how long did you wait for food when you ordered it from the app to wherever you were located? Thank you.
Good questions! The app worked better for me than for Sherri, she had some glitches with the app and wifi, I only had a couple. Food ordering via the app ranged from 20 - 30 minutes on average I would say. We heard from others that had to wait longer though.
I recently sailed on the Enchanted Princess and thought the food was outstanding. My prior two cruises with Princess were on the Grand, and I thought the food was not good at all. I’m laughing because on the Enchanted Princess the toilet paper was not within reach. I know exactly what you are talking about! 😂
We just booked the eastbound transatlantic on the Dream. Disney actually has a bunch of good last minute fares on the longer cruises right now, especially for an inside. The Hawaiian prices look great imo. For the TA it ended up being $360 a night for the two of us for a balcony! But Disney regular prices are insane insane right now.
I think we are the exception. We sailed on the Discovery Princess to Alaska last summer and it wasn't our favorite. I did like the ship, it was beautiful and clean but our room was not as spacious. We also are Disney cruisers and had a similar room, I believe a deluxe balcony but it definitely was smaller than the balcony staterooms on the Disney ships. Our room slept 3 and the 3rd bed was a pull out Sleeper loveseat. When it was pulled out there was no room not even a half a foot to go around to get to the balcony, it was a drop on the sofa bed tuck and roll situation. Fortunately we had another inside room since there were 5 of us so 3 slept in that room. The room was nice otherwise and the two stateroom hosts were exceptional! We didn't enjoy the food in the main dining rooms and the service in the dining rooms was at both ends of the spectrum. We had terrible slow service in one and incredible service in another. I wish I remembered the name of the waiter that was so good. We joked because it seemed that no matter what you ordered or what night everything had the same sauce/gravy on it. The buffet really wasn't great either. We enjoyed the International Cafe and the pizza on the pool deck. The pizza was good at Gigi's but now that there is an upcharge we wouldn't pay anything additional for it. We also had some weird experiences with service, from guest services to being treated terribly when we went in the wrong door for afternoon tea. Being our first time sailing on this ship and Princess cruiselines we did not know there were 2 entrances to the dining room and were literally yelled at across the dining room to use the other door. It wasn't all negative though, we enjoyed all of the entertainment and we had ages 17 to 80 traveling. The itinerary was great and we thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful state of Alaska. Disney would be our choice but for the difference in cost we could give Princess another chance and would be curious if they have made improvements since your review was such a different experience.
Our first Princess cruise will be in June 2024 for 14 days to Alaska on the Royal. Our only room options at the time was between 4 mini-suites as all other balcony options were unavailable. Concerned that the cruise no longer appears as an option at Princess. Assuming this means the cruise is fully booked. Never had a cruise fill up on us so far away from the date. Hoping it doesn't affect the experience too much. Premier package was an additional $2240 for the two of us.
We have heard that Alaska is selling VERY well for next summer and pretty much everyone is expecting it to be the biggest tourism summer ever. That being said, we've been on ships when they were totally full and really in the buffet and during shows was really where we only noticed a difference in crowds
Hi Adam and Sherri! 🙋♀️ I love all of your vlogs! I have never cruised, due to thousands of people trying to eat and enjoy activities at the same time! I’m concerned because I do have claustrophobic tendencies lol! 🤷♀️
Totally understandable! Hmm, neither of us are terrible claustrophobic, so it would be hard for us to give any advice on that. There are certainly areas and events that at times can feel crowded, but we've never struggled to find some open space when we need it either.,
how does the Discovery compare to the Sapphire? We'll be on the Sapphire in Alaska next year. Doing a 7 day cruise followed but 7-days ashore in Princess cabins. Our first Princess cruise. Our last Disney cruise we had three medicals where we had to divert closer to a port so they could be transferred onto a tender vessel. Crazy. Next cruise is in September on the Dream doing the British Isles cruise.
We haven't cruised on the Sapphire, so it's hard for us to compare. Do you know what lodges you're staying at on your land tour?! Are you taking Princess busses and trains?
All through Princess. Whittier to Denali Aug 30, 2 nights at Denali Princess lodge then two nights at Copper River Princess Lodge Sep 5th coach to Anchorage. spend night at Hotel Captain Cook and fly back home. Whew! @@LeggLife
Did you know Princess actually hires a company entrusted to find the most inconvenient location for the T.P. We usually get a mini suite because my husband likes his own TV. Yes I get it. He's a little quirky. The TP is in the same inconvenient location in the minisuite as well. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. We just booked this itinerary once again. Unfortunately, it's going to be on the Royal. Loved our time on Discovery
My husband I went on a 10 day Royal Princess Southern Caribbean Cruise in 2018. We went in February. We loved the ship and everything it had to offer but 80% of the passengers on the ship seemed to be senior citizens. I was 49 when we went on this trip and I felt young comparatively Lol! I felt really bad for the tiny percentage of really young people on the ship because I’m sure that wasn’t what they were expecting. And I have to say I found a lot of the seniors to be kind of rude and entitled to kind of push their way thru to events or elevators. I definitely would have liked a more age diverse trip. More young people and more middles aged people like my husband and I. I’m not sure if it was because of the time of the year or because it was a longer cruise that everyone was older.
what do you think of the HUUUGE price increases for pkgs? we think its absurd!!!! on a 2wk cruise itll add close to $1k as you know that if 1 in a cabin does drink pkg 2nd HAS too.
Obviously I wish there weren't price increases, and I miss things like Alfredos (Gigi's) being included, but I also understand it and feel like it's something we're seeing everywhere. I will say, the package is still a better deal for us than if we were paying for everything individually, and my favorite thing about the packages is that you don't have that end-of-cruise sticker shock when you see the bill! Ha! We've had a few of those cruises for sure.
"All the heavy weight lifters are really cool".I dont think someone working out is grounds for making fun of them. If you're deadlifting your own weight or more its not the easiest thing to gently set it down quietly. Love you guys regardless but lets try to be kind. Saw that on a shirt once I think.
That toilet paper situation is wild!! Why place it so high? I'm shorter than average and my husband is taller than average so we would have had so much fun with that!!😅😅😅 Overall your reviews for Discovery Princess are so good that now I want to try sailing on it someday soon😍💕 I thoroughly enjoyed watching this series🌹
Handy_Andy68 here... The TP location was across the room with our Balcony Room last May and we AGREE -- We moved it to the counter --- Medalion/APP - My CON - ONLY on the very first day the app was incredibly slow, and I suspect that it was a resource issue - In Juno, there is a shop where you personally know the owner, Can you remind me the name, would love to stop in on our next cruise to AK in May
Hi! Hmm, we don't know any shop owners terribly well in Juneau, but In Ketchikan we highly recommend Woodlands Clothing and in Skagway we recommend Klondike Gift Supply!
@@LeggLife It was Woodlands that I recalled, and My memory stinks lol Will definitely make a point to check them out this time as we have left more time for exploring :) Thanks again!!

We are going on that ship this May to Alaska. Thanks so much for all the videos. They are so helpful!
We're so glad you found them helpful! Have a great day!
We are going this Saturday with 4 friends. Your videos have been SOOOOO Helpful!!! Thank you very much. We can't wait to go.
have fun :)
1000% agree on Take Five. I wish this was on more than 3 ships.
Yes! I would love it (or a venue like it) on every ship!
Never really wanted to do a Mexican cruise - but this series changed my mind - added to the bucket list.
Wife and I have the same trip booked in Oct on Discovery to celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary. Your daily vlogs and this review have been so helpful. We did Alaska on Royal Princess last year.

loved this review, more than 4 thumbs up! I especially love the idea of centenarian cruising :)
Thank you for your review. We will be on Discovery in September for a family cruise to Alaska.

Also, I agree Cruise Director Cole is great. Was on my last summer 10-day Alaska cruise from San Francisco (2 sea days at beginning and at end).
Thanks for all your vlogs. 😀
We loved the Discovery Princess. We played games in the Salty Dog grill when it wasn’t open. Some board games were provided there.
Hope you enjoyed the warmth just to comeback to another snowfall. Setting records and still time left in winter for more. ✌️❤️😎
Love this One thing I don’t like on discovery on a full ship is the midship elevator sometimes take a long time also sometimes when you do an Alaskan itinerary it’s a little bit harder to get a table in the buffet sometimes but you just have to be patient and you can get one
My favorite ship will always be the Disney wonder but this is my close second definitely out of the princess fleet this is my favorite ship
Princess has cruising down to a fine art
Great wrap up you guys!🥰🙌🏾💋
So glad yous had a wonderful time loved watching stay safe.
It was a cruise we will remember forever!
Loved that you did a wrap up
So glad you liked it!
We hope you have an amazing cruise this May!!
You are a beautiful couple and its fun to watch you interact.
Just came off of the Caribbean Princess, and am regretting not buying that sweatshirt that Sherri is wearing! Had it in my hands, dang it. Glad you enjoyed your trip! Caribbean is an older girl, but we enjoyed our cruise as well.
Sailing on Discovery in September to Alaska, first time on this ship.
QUESTION: We love playing board games onboard a ship. Does the Discovery Princess have them available elsewhere, since they don't have a library?
I've never been on a cruise but your vlogs are making me consider it.
What cruise line would you say is best for a first time cruise (2 people).
We booked this itinerary and this room on Discovery Princess for this fall! Can’t wait! Thanks for the great series ❤
You're so welcome, glad you've enjoyed it!
Great review! So exciting to see you find a cruise line that is such a great fit. Nothing better than a perfect cruise!
At some point it would be cool to see you try another line (Holland America). We have had a lot of fun trying different ones as they all have something to offer.
On the ship now and they have wood covering that one piece of the sky walk. Going to Rudy's in 2 days. Excited.
I was wondering how long it would take to fix that! Doesn't seem like an easy area of the ship to fix! Enjoy your cruise!
We are so loving your reviews! It sure would be great if you happened to be on the Discovery 10 Dayer Total Solar Eclipse cruise. Best wishes to you both! Shar
Thank you so much for watching!
Just discovered your channel. Unless you booked with Princess Plus or Premier, I wonder if the food would be that great for Princess Standard.
Oh gosh, i didn't even think about no promenade deck on the Wish.
Do you recommend the Plus or Premier package if passengers don't drink alcohol but soda?
Hmm, hard to say, I think it depends on what you're looking for out of a package. There is more than just the beverages involved, so I would look at both packages and see if either of them really fit the way you travel, or if not getting a package and doing things individually may be better for you.
Thanks for the report. We love the ship and the itinerary. We have done that one a few times. So what does Sherri do for Princess?
We will absolutely be booking this itinerary again! For safety reasons we don't give exact details about her position with Princess, but she works for them year round in their Alaska operations.
We are Disney Cruisers too and went on Royal in Alaska last summer. Loved Princess and would sail again in a heartbeat! My 18 year old son now says he’d pick Princess over Disney!
So glad you enjoyed your cruise on Princess! We love both Disney and Princess and think there is certainly a place for both lines!
Granted, I'm kinda in the mindset of why pay more to get off the ship when you have already paid for it on the ship (with the Premium Package.)
BTW, honestly, great vids of your trip!
I want to cruise either in or out of Alaska. Which ship would you recommend? Also, LA to Alaska, your thoughts?
I will be on Discovery in August. I've heard the new app has some glitches. How did it work for you, and how was their wi-fi? About how long did you wait for food when you ordered it from the app to wherever you were located? Thank you.
Good questions! The app worked better for me than for Sherri, she had some glitches with the app and wifi, I only had a couple. Food ordering via the app ranged from 20 - 30 minutes on average I would say. We heard from others that had to wait longer though.
@@LeggLife thank you.
The premier package includes 2 specialty restaurants what does that include.
Hi Adam and Sherri! 🙋♀️
I love all of your vlogs!
There are certainly areas and events that at times can feel crowded, but we've never struggled to find some open space when we need it either.,
@@LeggLife yes, I loved your escape to deck #7 lol!🤗
Hope yall do icon of the seas next
We definitely want to cruise Royal eventually!
Also, I could have sworn there was a small library in a smoking area... In or near the cigar lounge... will look again on our next trip
Ooooh, let us know if you find it!
I asked on the ship in May 2022. They did not have a library. I was disappointed, but maybe it changed. I would like that!
how does the Discovery compare to the Sapphire?
Ha! Glad to know it wasn't just us who found the TP location inconvenient.
You need to try an Oasis class Royal Caribbean ship not necessarily Icon to experience their entertainment.
🥰
Imagine one of those helicopter bills. Gulp.
Gosh, we though the same thing!
The toilet paper location seems very random. Seems to be a known issue online so I don’t understand why they haven’t addressed it.
Can you get a coffee card on board , not interested in other drinks so don’t want the package
"All the heavy weight lifters are really cool".I dont think someone working out is grounds for making fun of them. If you're deadlifting your own weight or more its not the easiest thing to gently set it down quietly. Love you guys regardless but lets try to be kind. Saw that on a shirt once I think.
You're absolutely right :)
@@LeggLife I’m glad my comment wasn’t taken the wrong way. Another reason you guys are the best. Glad yall enjoyed your cruise!
Not taken the wrong way at all!
That toilet paper situation is wild!! Why place it so high? I'm shorter than average and my husband is taller than average so we would have had so much fun with that!!😅😅😅
Overall your reviews for Discovery Princess are so good that now I want to try sailing on it someday soon😍💕
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this series🌹
there was a woman on your ship who was alive when WWI ended?! 😮
oh please dont endorse diz at all. overpriced and its all their themes..no thanx!!!! ugh ugh
We've had really wonderful experiences cruising with Disney, even if the prices are becoming harder and harder to swallow
