I really enjoyed your video Fraser! I'm an American and I have lived in Puerto Vallarta for 5 years now and I love it! There is so much to see and do and the people are so friendly. I was really happy to see that you walked around to see the Malecon and the downtown area.
Ahh, a newfound local - welcome to my little corner of UA-cam! I really did love this port - so much to offer, and what amazing weather! Thanks for being here!
Just found your channel, and I subscribed, because I feel like you are informative and show a lot of detail. I love your positive attitude and honesty about what you were seeing and doing. I've not been to PV yet (going in January) so this was a very helpful vlog.
That was such a good video…. Beautiful place and I can’t believe you did all that walking in that heat!!btw I love foreign supermarkets too… love seeing what is on offer, it’s the inner geek in me
Hey Joanne, thanks so much! I absolutely loved this port - it had such a fun vibe about it. Looking back, I can’t believe the walking - wait until you see my next episode…!! 🥵
@@FraserAtSea The guy that owned it 40 years ago kept ever single item of hers in its original place when she moved back to the states in the [60s?] He let me have a photo lying in her bed. So l can say l've been in Elizabeth Taylors bed! Oo matron. :)))
That's incredible! Have not been on the west coast of Mexico...usually in the Acapulco area. LOL...a Walmart! Yup, I too an drawn right in and usually head directly to the produce...so much great stuff not even heard of here in Nova Scotia, Canada. Very colourful area!! Yum...ice cream!! Wonderful stuff!!
Ha, yeah I totally get it - I’m exactly the same when it comes to supermarkets abroad! There was so much in there that the Brit in me had never heard of - fascinating! Thanks for watching!!
Looks like you went on the Panorama a few weeks before me. For our cruise, there was some reason we couldn't get into Mazatlan and it was cancelled at the last minute, so they did two days in Cabo instead. I love that scenery you see of Cabo where they anchor. We did a tour in PV to learn how to make salsa, which was fun and a good bus trek away from the Port in the middle of nowhere. If I ever go back to PV, I would definitely just go wander the Malecon, maybe try a new local restaurant. There is so much to do in PV and really no need to spend on a tour, I've been to these ports plenty of times though having grown up in California.
Thanks for watching - hello! I totally agree with your thoughts on PV - I was really impressed with the walk-ability of it! I was onboard right before the really bad storm that hit the Mexico and US West Coasts - we rushed back early from Cabo to avoid hitting it apparently, but I didn’t know that reason until we were back in LB! Thanks for commenting!
We enjoyed Puerto Vallarta as well nice people and they forgave my terrible Spanish the Malecon was a beautiful walk way glad you enjoyed the port how was your Margarita 🍹
Ha, yeah mine was no better - don’t worry! The cocktail was wonderful - I could drink far more of them, but don’t think I could come on camera after, haha!
Wow, I've been there twice and haven't seen that shopping complex you were funneled through! I don't know how many dock areas there are. Wonder if it was new? We had 8-10 open air souvenir stands in the blazing sun, inside the secure area. 😂 We were docked right in front of Walmart. This is a fun port! I was there November 2019 and January 2020. Way to hot for me. 🤣 This was before I discovered Alaska.
Ahh, how funny that you had the total opposite experience port wise - I thought the port was actually so lovely - nice to have the large facility area just for the ship guests! I agree - SUCH a fun port, but sooooo hot! 😂 Thanks for watching!!
I did leave the ship, ha! I guess lots of people take cruises and maybe have one or two ports where they stay onboard to enjoy the facilities available without the crowds! Thanks for watching! 🛳️

Hey Fraser: UA-cam unsubscribed me! Sorry! I'm back now.
Ahh, welcome back!! 😊
Ahh, welcome back!! 😊
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to go to supermarkets abroad! Even Lidl or Aldi abroad can be an eye opener!
You and I both - completely agree!!
We’ve been going to Puerto Vallarta for 30 years. Yes it’s grown significantly, but we have never had an issue, even in our wild days
Yeah, I can understand why - such a fun little port!

Love Puerto Vallarta: we visited the pink _Taylor Burton_ villa when we were here.
Sadly, they've now destroyed it and turned it into a hotel.
Ahh, I haven’t even heard of this - have had a quick look on google - looks interesting!

I like to self explore.I recently did 2 expensive cruise ship tours in New Zealand and I’m scratching my head as why I did them.
Yeah, I love self exploring. I only really do excursions in ports that are a bit more questionable from a safety POV… Thanks for watching!!
Going to Puerta Vallarta next January, so I enjoyed this video! Had to laugh at what they called “eggs Benedict”!
Ah, you’ll love it there! Me too - spoiler alert for future episodes - it gets worse 😂

It's the same port across the street from Mexico. Sometimes they hathe stands Sometimes they don't.
Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor got married in that Church.
Ooh, that’s a fun fact - thanks for sharing this one!
Where was the roof top place? I leave this year to PV and I'd love to go!
Hey! Did you see one in the video? I visited a cool rooftop in Mazatlán, but not sure if there was one here…?
@FraserAtSea that's the one I am asking about. Sorry if it is the wrong video. :)
@@juliellerenas7101 ah, that was the Best Western hotel in Mazatlán - well worth a visit! ua-cam.com/video/6Lrx0R87cvA/v-deo.html

@@FraserAtSea Very beautiful port
250 pesos is at the most $13.00
Take the bus
why would a person travel to places and not get off the ship?

Here's a tip. Never go to Mexico in summer. Way to hot.
Ha, yeah I can’t believe nobody had told me this before - it was CRAZY hot!
