You do a great job of explaining why you make the changes you did. The physical demonstration really hits it home though! Keep em coming
Thank you! #EnjoyRC
Great info and presented well in a way that makes sense and can be applied to setup for anyone ... cheers

So nice to have these informative videos specific to the kyosho platform. Thank you so much.
Thanks. I’ll do my best to get more out!
Love the new videos Ryan! Thanks for sharaing some of your knowledge, youve always been top notch pro driver in my book!!!
I appreciate that! Thanks for the comment! 😁 #EnjoyRC
Awesome video
Thanks for the visit
Thank you for explaining your step by step thought process, and specifically describing the behavior of the car as you go through the changes in set up. This video was very informative, enlightening, and relatable. While you're on a roll, a part two called "Go faster on smooth, low grip, dusty tracks" would be incredibly helpful! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge 🙏
Glad you found it helpful. I plan to make many more. Have a big race to prepare for this week but after that I’ll get back to making some more vids! Thanks for the comment. 👍🏼
thank you Ryan for these advices !
You're very welcome. I appreciate the comment! 😁
@@RyanLutz 👍
Liking the new content Ryan peace 👍🇦🇺
Thank you and kudos for the comment! #EnjoyRC
Two videos in one week 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Actually there was 3! 😁
Thanks Ryan! This all makes sense and after running the high grip at Indy RC World for the Lonestar race. I pretty much ran the same progression of changes and each made a differnce.
Glad to hear it! Thanks for the comment! 👍🏼
Thank you sir
You’re very welcome!
Yes very good information. Especially from a seasoned veteran.
Glad it was helpful. Thank you!
Thank you
You're welcome. Thank you for the comment!
Nice info. Ty
Thank for the comment. Hope it helps you out! #EnjoyRC
A lighter oil will actually slow the suspension reaction down. Things happen quicker with a heavier oil because less roll. With lighter oil there's more give so the steering inputs are more delayed, guys get it backwards. I like to run a stff spring and sway bar but a lighter shock oil on high bite so car isn't so twitchy
👋Rayan Lutz thank you so much for your explanations on how to make the great Kyosho MP10 TKI3 work best!👍The background track is very beautiful👍.I think you are the best pilot of the highest level currently, who makes videos on the TKI3. I hope this thing grows! for us mere mortals who have so much passion👍.Are you coming to the IBR THIS WINTER? if so let us know when we can come to meet you!👍thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! I would love to come but it’s a long trip. Will keep an eye out for possibilities in the new year! #EnjoyRC
one of these days your channel will break me, and ill get into RC cars.. haha, you rock man !! :D
Haha. I appreciate the support especially if your not even into R/C yet! It’s coming! 😁😂
@@RyanLutz I fly fpv drones :)
@@SpikeydelicAwesome. What would you suggest as the best system for trying to do FPV on an off-road buggy? From what I've seen and heard, GoPro stability and FPV zero latency still haven't met. Which FPV system has the best stability of picture for all the jarring the off-road cars will give them?
@@RyanLutz well, it's been a year or twoo, so at this point I have no clue what's out there on the market. I don't think you will get a stabilized fpv setup anywhere. At least not lowlatency enough for what we do with it.
I notice the rear bushing little dot up inside what does that do for the buggy. I would love to see video on roll center/ anti squat for the buggy
The 2.5 with dot towards outside is 2.5 toe.
The 2.5 with dot towards inside is 3.5 toe.
The 3.5 insert is opposite.
The 3 insert doesn’t matter, it stays 3 inside or outside.
The small dot towards up is lower D block pin position (lower roll center). The small dot down is higher D block position (higher roll center)
I will work on that video over the next month. Stay tuned.
Great video Ryan! Guessing the low grip bumpy setup is next?
Not right away but it will be in the works yes. 👍🏼
❤❤
Thanks Ryan for the info! Can you make a video about the process of how you clean your Electric cars and how you protect the electronics?
Thanks for the comment.
I don’t do much in that regards beyond normal cleaning. But I’ll think it over and see if I can create a video with some added value. Thanks for the suggestion.
Love the simple explanation that was just right. To touch on speed in the corners I tend not to use the front brake on my mp9 tki4 is there a difference without the front brake?
Stability under braking is very much altered when using no front brake. I used to in truggy use minimal front brake to get a quick snap
Rotation in corners. But now I’m usually 50/50 most of the time.
More set up videos ryan👍🇮🇪💯
Keep tuned over the next two months. Hoping to pump out quite a few in between my races. 👍🏼
@RyanLutz cheers Ryan, I run the tki3, the more info the better thanks again👍🇮🇪
After watching you push down on your car.....my shock oils are way to thick...lol...know that I'm thinking about it all my 10th scale cars(out door setups)are all thinner....but my buggy is not......hold on I have to try something...lol...
Thanks Ryan
Hope you get it all figured out. I hope to do a decent quick video regarding baseline shock oil set-ups soon.
Fascinating! You almost need an engineering degree for this stuff.
Many of the designers of the cars do have that degree of course. These cars are capable of as many if not more perhaps, set-up adjustments than their full size counterparts. There is a lot that goes into racing these cars. 😁
Thanks for watching and the comment! 👍🏼
On this high grip track with 10/20 in the center did you run the large or small diff case?
Small
Also, if you wanted to scale down the diffs from the ebuggy 30k, 20k, 20k but keep the same balance for the green track, what would you have started with? The same 7k, 20k (7k feel), 3k nitro? Any happy medium for those of us not as heavy on the throttle?
Yes would have been same as the nitro.
If you didn’t want to go as high, even a 15, 15, 10(or7) would be a good adjustment.
3:10 What are these holes in tires for?
So when the grip is higher go up in diffs oils when using 10/20 gears
Irregardless of what gears you are running, if grip gets higher, go up in diff oils. You just have to go even more extreme of running the 12/18s.
How do you I unglue tyres
You can place it in bucket of
Acetone if you are trying to reuse wheels. Let sit in it about 2 days.
What diff ratio do I need to fix me driving off the track all the time???? JK... I don't really think the concepts in this video are beginner concepts
Hilarious
Is it true that the kyosho has less traction compared to other cars?
Not at all. I actually think the Kyosho makes more traction than most others and I have to get rid of some more often as grip comes up.
