AZA zoos around the country are dedicated to regularly finding different novel items/experiences for their animals which many people don’t realize, always a great sign that the animals well being is a top priority.
Aww that’s so fun I really wish I could have a job like this unfortunately I don’t think it’s in the cards so watching multiple Secrets of the Zoo series that have come out will have to be the next best thing.
Trying so hard to figure out how to get Nat'l Geographic Wild on my TV again in Latin America. Not clear at all about how to do it. I look at streaming possibilities like Hulu and Roku but then they say not available in Mexico. TV providers here still advertising Disney plus which supposedly includes Nat'l Geographic, but maybe they are out of date, not really available on paid TV any longer? So confusing.
Their African Painted Dogs, but you are correct the sound effect you are hearing is that of the Spotted Hyena. Fun fact most wildlife footage is recorded without sound (their far away and if you amplify it you get wind noise) and Foley artists add the animal noises in latter. In this case they got it slightly wrong, but hey it's a good example. Try and figure out if you've heard a sound effect before watching a certain animal
I volunteer at another zoo and sometimes, the keepers will take our alpacas for a walk. It’s not only enriching for the alpacas, but the visitors too.
And the employees
@@Jennifer-vc6nt True. I often bring books with pictures with me because one of our orangutans likes looking at the pictures.

At 1:51 does anyone know what she says before “dogs”? I’m interested to know what those hyena type animals are
Painted dogs
@@ThePursuer7 Thank you 👍
@@CompleteProducer84 Ironically, hyenas are more closely related to cats.
