- CROCODILE DUNDEE (1986)
Perhaps you'll consider me old-fashioned, well, let it be. I really liked this character Crocodile Dundee, he's very simple, strong, and honest, which is very valuable in my opinion, and a great rarity these days. Let's enjoy the movie together.😘

A Worldwide Hit in 1986, #1 in Australia and #2 in the United States, right after Top Gun with Tom Cruise. Crocodile Dundee totally charmed and won over film audiences. Great Reaction. :)
I grew up in the outback. No crocodiles where I came from though, but It`s definitely a unique & special place. I live in the city now (past 20 years). I miss the clean air & serenity of being in the bush. The people are different too, friendly & more down to earth. I need to go back for a visit. 😊🦘🐊
Part 2 is good also!
Tourism in Australia really picked up after this movie came out & for good reason. The nature shots are gorgeous!
I think it was part of or the catalyst for aussie tourism, in the uk we had a sudden influx of Australian stuff. I think they were also trying to engage popular immigration.
I always loved this character because he was all about the moment. Each day was a new opportunity to make a new friend or go on another adventure. He was fully prepared to just spend years wandering around a country on the other side of the world he knew almost nothing about because it seemed and experience worth living at the time. Mick Dundee is one of those characters that has never known a stranger. The second one really drives that home.
Parts two and three are both good. All the bar regulars were cast members from his TV show. He didn't forget his friends.
Wrong, part two is very enjoyable but part 3 is sh*t, plain and simple
@@mickcain2203don't think I made it to part 3. That tells you all u need to know. Enjoyed the 1st 2 tho.
Paul was actually married to her. They also did a movie called almost an angel. Very good movie that been forgotten
ritahamblin1043 I remember that movie.
Paul was married to someone else at the time of this movie in 1986. He got divorced in 1989 and married Linda in 1990. They divorced in 2014.
@@richardlicht7927 "The more you know!"🌠🎹🎶
Im from Germany and " almost an Angle " ist an absolute Classic Here .. Shows Paul Hogans serious side combined with good Heart Comedy
@@Piechotka85 Thank you for sharing.
You will enjoy the sequel as much as the first one. Australians from the outback are as friendly, helpful and matter of fact as Dundee is. I spend 10 days every year out there and it is just brilliant.
They actually did get married in real life after this!
Check out Crocodile Dundee 2 next!
Loved your reactions!
🤩 thank you ☺️
Emma's scream when the croc popped up🐊😱🤣
one of the best movie endings of all time ❤❤
The thing about Mick is that he is an alpha male. He knows that he has every situation under control even when he has absolutely no idea what is really going on. Every alpha male is the exact same way when you are with them. He is kind and generous but he is ALWAYS in complete control of every situation that he is in even when it doesn't look like it. And they never show fear or that anything bothers them because that is just the way that they are in every situation. You will know without any doubt when you are in the presence of an alpha man. And no matter what any woman says they are like puddy when they are with an alpha man. If you have never felt that way then you have never been around a real alpha man.
Paul Hogan was 46 when he made this movie.
Thank you!!!! Now I know!!!
@@EmmaReactions "And knowing is half the battle, G.I. JOE!"
He also hooked up with Linda Kozlowski and walked out on his Wife and Family back in Australia.
@65cj55 "walked out on his family" can give some people the wrong impression. As if he abandoned them or something instead of just getting a divorce and then remarried.
@@hulkslayer626 Yes he abandoned them, he basically never went home to Australia and let his Lawyers do it all, it was a disgusting act, his Wife and kids deserved better.
I have a photo of when I was 6 yrs old sitting in Crocodile Dundees Truck in 1986 . This was such a fun movie to watch at the cinema.
Yes, watch Dundee 2. I think the 2nd one is better than the first. But I stlll love the first one also.
What was crazy was the two actors in this movie really had incredible chemistry and that is what made this movie work so well. They even got married by the end and stayed together until a few years ago when they got divorced.
Another great 80s action/romance along the same lines is "Romancing the Stone". Now I feel old, I saw both of them in the theater. But I still remember!
1986 was a great year for music, movies, etc…I graduated high school and started college that year…my fave from 1986 was “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” since it was filmed in my neighborhood in Chicago…and my friend/classmate Kristin was in the movie…on the payphone with Ferris :)
“Something wrong with her hair” lol
Yes Emma. It’s called the 80s. The more hair, gel and hairspray, the better. Lotsa hair and crazy styles back then. And I’m glad I was there for it. lol
Always a pleasure watching your reactions 👍🏻🇺🇸
This is a real feelgood movie! Such a romantic ending!
If I had to save just one movie, it would be Crocodile Dundee 2. Mike J. Dundee vs. Colombian drug traffickers to save his beloved Sue. I just love this movie, maybe because it reminds me of a happy time in my life.
Part 2 is better than the first one, in my opinion. I also think part 3 is worth watching, even though that one was made like 15 years later and made more family oriented.
Number 2 is great. Number 3 is hopeless
Paul Hogan didn’t think this would be an international hit. He said he thought he was making a nice little comedy for Australia They put the quotes around crocodile cause they didn’t want people to think Dundee was an actual crocodile. 3:15 she’s laughing cause he tells it so much and they enjoy hearing it. 13:00 this croc is still alive living the bachelor life in a wildlife park. 20:04 Paul Hogan really did go around New York saying “G’Day” to everyone. 21:48 he’s jealous of him. He’s trying to make him look bad in Sue’s eyes. 28:38 one of the most quoted (and misquoted) movie lines ever.
The follow up is worth watching as well.
As an Australian living in the bush for 9 months. Life is great
Paul Hogan was fantastic as The Crocodile Hunter Mick Dundee a rough and tumble guy from the Outback. It is a comedy, a drama, a love story. This is a movie to watch on a weekend. A true classic story!
@RichardM1366 This is a movie to watch ANY time of week!
Yes Dundee 2 was also very good with the original cast.
“Nah, needs garlic 🧄 “
😆😆😆
I really enjoyed this one and the next one, they are connected. He is an easy character to like. Very cool reaction Emma
"That's not a knife. That's a knife."
Good one, Emma! This is a fun movie, I enjoyed rewatching it with you! Thanks for sharing it. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it!
5:40 Paul Hogan was 47 when this film came out.
If you're interested, the song playing on the jukebox in Walkabout Creek is called 'Sloppy Croc' by Mental as Anything and is on You Tube if you want to listen to it. I bought the soundtrack album when it came out and that song wasn't on it and i was so annoyed.
11:41 He either forgot that she was American; or he was unaware of Americans' intimate relationship with guns.
It's a trilogy, and the next one's the best
The thing with the dogs is all about who they see as the dominant one of the ones that are in the area where they are. Mick as an alpha man is immediately recognized by the dogs as the one that they are in subjection to. They teach you this when you take a dog training class. You can see It when you watch the dog whisper.
I was born the year this came out.
Makes me feel young and old all at the same time.
🙃
You've gotta watch "Almost an Angel " with Paul Hogan and Linda Kowalski
Another wonderful reaction Emma ... Now you've left yourself wide open to reacting to 'Crocodile Dundee 2' 😊
The funny line I liked was "That's not a knife. Now that's a knife." I got a movie reaction suggestion for you it's another one of my favorites, The Final Countdown (1980) The U.S.S. Nimitz goes back to December 6th, 1941. It's filmed on the Nimitz. It's like Top Gun meets Back to the Future.
Is it possible that she knew she was "playing with both men" but was confused, briefly, and trying to figure out her feelings?
One guy she's known for years and has been dating maybe for years.
The other guy she's known for a few days and finds herself attracted.
But is Dundee just a passing attraction and she should stay with her long-time boyfriend?
If so, she needs to shake it off and tell him;
Or Is Dundee what her heart really wants and the long-time boyfriend isn't?
If so, she needs to let that guy know.
But, first, she needs to figure out her own heart.
That might take more than a couple days.
She wasn't "playing with both men" because she's a bad person.
Just because she's a confused person trying to figure herself out.
Emma Reactions This was one of my dad's favorite movies, so I saw it a lot growing up.
Lightning Jack with Paul Hogan from 1994 is pretty good. It's an action comedy movie set in western.
EMMA!! Suggestions for St. Patrick's Day!
*The Commitments* (1991) Unemployed young folk from Dublin form a band playing American Soul music.
*In The Name of the Father* (1993) Daniel Day Lewis, Emma Thompson - set in 1970s Belfast. Wrongful imprisonment, courtroom, terrorism.. based on a true story.
*The Wind That Shakes The Barley* (2006) Cillian Murphy, Liam Cunningham - set during the Irish War for Independence and the Irish Civil War (1919-1923)
You will enjoy number 2, you gain more information and backstory plus a great story. If you like the first one, you'll definitely like the 2nd. Two other Paul Hogan movies worth watching are "Almost an Angel" and "Lightning Jack", you're going to be laughing your butt off. Anyway, loved the review, love you, take care and stay safe ❤️
**Curiously waits to see whether Emma has the US dub or the original Australian slang version. This far after release, they should have honestly burned that overdub by now.
Stickybeak vs busybody in the scene between Mick and Sue after Mick goes to meet with Nev's tribal elders tells the tale. But that one is hard to spot, there's bigger lip sync issues with some of the later ones, including most of the censored f-bombs.
Charlie, the water buffalo, died in about 2000? Ish? It was basically a pet and tourist curio at the Adelaide River Tavern after the movie, an hour and a half drive from here in Darwin. They had a taxidermist take a look at him and I am pretty sure he still stands at the bar today.
UDP Falls/Gunlom Falls where they went swimming is too far inland further up swift-flowing freshwater rivers for salt-water crocodiles to venture. They stay mostly in lowland estuaries/rivers where there is still tidal influence and venture a bit further up into freshwater, but not that far. Of course nobody's told them they have to follow that rule. 😅
The 2nd one is even better, thanks for watching!
Fun movie.
I remember seeing this when I was 11 in theaters and had an immediate crush on actress Linda Kozlowski. Her character couldn't seem to make up her mind whether to choose Mick or the jackass she was apparently dating. She kissed him twice, and brings him to New York and still flirts with him but he's stuck feeling like a third wheel. Glad she chose Mick.
Linda and Paul Hogan were married from 1990-2014. Paul is 18 years older than her. Shes now 66 and he's 84. I hope there both do well.
I wonder if the age difference was a factor in they're decision to divorce?
plz Part 2 too .... its as good as the first one.
Right you are!
Emma, Imagine the good Lord intended all humanity be just as you are. Regrettably we have fallen way short. You're laughter is truly Devine.
Great reaction Emma. If you haven't seen red dog yet I really think you would like it alot. A legendary Australian movie based on a true story about a real doc. Thanks Emma. The scenery is also very beautiful.
I'll check it out!
36:10 What’s next? Paul Hogan leaves wife for young co-star.
The sequel is better, in my opinion. I have heard the third one is not very good. Good reaction.
The two lead characters actually got married later in real life.
This is in my all time top ten movies. Can’t wait to see your reactions to Crocodile Dundee 2 and the third Crocodile Dundee In L.A.
Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski actually got married after the second film until about 10 yrs ago when they got divorced
Ok 👌🏼😘😘😘😉
Thanks Emma! I love this movie, watched it countless times when I was a kid👍
Movie's OST is awesome 😍
PS : Not sure why, but each time I listen your intro, it make me think to Starfield 😊
so great reaction nice to see happy emma makes me happy
Thanks for sharing!!
Definitely check out the sequels awesome 😎
''Field days'' grandparent what going on my dawgie 😂😂😂
Nice reaction Emma, another one of my favorites, great comedy. 😊💗
Thank you!! 😁
Linda Kozlowski was a very underrated 80s beauty 😍
Paul took her off the market and she kinda disappeared aside from the sequels and some of Paul's other movies 😅
@LordVolkov She was in "Village of the Damned" (1995).
2 is ok, 3 or 2000 is great
After this movie Paul Hogan left his wife and five kids in Australia and went to America and married Linda Kozlowski the blonde from the movie
If you're interested in the movie's future, there would be a Crocodile Dundee II in 1988. If you're interested in the real future, Paul Hogan would marry Linda Kozlowski in 1990. They would have one son. In 2013 Kozlowski would file for divorce on the grounds of 'irreconcilable differences'.
And Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles
@@ryanparshall9582 Indeed. Sorry, forgot about that as I didn't see it. Is it any good?
The lake that they were swimming in was mineral water and crocodile 🐊 are not able to live in mineral water. It ends up killing them.
In Crocodile Dundee 2, he's moved to New York & get involved with Drug Dealers & move back to Australia where the fun really begins. Then Crocodile Dundee 3 They are in LA.
Omg 😳 you have a movie reaction channel also? 🎉🎉 My life is now complete because itll be the only one I watch for now on! Thanks Emma

beautiful film
I have been there a few times and I have a cousin who lives there
Emma has a special place in my heart.
Here I said it.
Okay let’s go on.
😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support 😘😘😘🌹🌹🌹🌹
Great reaction! But I get the feeling that you struggled with the Australian accent and slang in it. Anyway love your work. Cheers from an Aussie.
Oh yeah, this is my 3 language and to me it’s a bit tricky to get some words cause of accent 🤭🤭🤭
You have to watch Crocodile Dundee 2
Definitely the sequel is better than average. 😉
Now you must to react to part 2😂
Great reaction to the classic Crocodile Dundee. Not sure if you know this, but these two got married in real life just after filming the movie.
Emma Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Thank you!! 😁
Good reaction. 👍
Love that movie.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@EmmaReactions ❤
Now you understand the reasons why Robert Downey Jr.'s character was so protective of him in "Tropic Thunder."
You need to react to the sequel, but don't worry if you miss #3. And after that, you will definitely enjoy another 80s gem, "The Gods Must Be Crazy."
Part 2 is certainly nearly as good :)
Ahhh, what a pleasure to be able to look at your beautiful face. Makes my heart smile.
You have to watch the next movie in the series. To me it is even better than this one is.
Be sure to watch the sequel...
They were married for 23 years
Emma 🌻
Great reaction to a 80s classic bring on part 2
We love you Emma🥰
Both sequels are equally enjoyable.
💌 Important Request: to _The Dinah Shore Show - October 4, 1959_ (video by Public Gems)
Part 2 is just as good, if not better. #3, not so much.
Part 2 isn't as good as the first, but it's decent. You also made me curious about Paul Hogan's age when this was filmed. You were pretty close; he was actually about 47.
Hi Emma!😊 Somebody is wearing red lipstick and different eye shadow, looks nice!💄😉 They were actually married for 24 years after this film.💍 Great reactions to this fish out of water film, Emma!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏 While "Crocodile Dundee II" (1988) was not as good as this film, it was still enjoyable. Both of them return for the sequel.😉
16:03 😂 somebody wasn’t listening to the movie :-)
Beautiful emma!😊😍
Thank you so much 😀

Bravo.
