You are without a doubt the best language teacher I have ever seen. You explain things so clearly and really make learning Chinese feel like it's 100% doable and not daunting. I'm so grateful to have found your channel
I'm an absolute beginner, and looking at that pinyin chart made me feel completely overwhelmed with how much is on it. It's a lot less intimidating using these videos to tackle it in little bites.
These short videos are the core of our courses, and will give you the clear explanations to make learning this stuff a whole lot less scary and overwhelming! Think of the pinyin chart as a tool you can refer to when a particular sound is giving you trouble. You can use the audio and video demonstrations on the pinyin chart for those tricky sounds - you don't have to go through every single sound on the chart!

As a Slovak, surprisingly most of these tones are spelled almost the same as in Slovakian. Chinese doesn´t look so hard now!
New to this but am excited with your explanation.
This is awesome 👍
Thanks
谢谢 你的帮助 :) I really appreciate your effort you put into these lessons. They're very helpful :D
Well done.. thanks for the video
As a Slavic, I pronounce the words, as I would pronounce them in Czech, so it's unbelieveably primitive to me!

An easy way for pakistanis to learn AO is the word with exact same pronunciation the of the word ao meaning is to come so ao is to come in urdu.
I love this comment! Finding similar sounds in your own language is a way to make Mandarin pronunciation feel less strange and difficult. 加油 (jiā yóu)!

For Spanish speakers the sounds are very similar if not the same
It's so difficult to hear the difference between "an" and "ang". I guess it takes a while to master it

And you are right.
The an final sounds like aunt.
Depends if you're talking British or American. I'd suggest the _un_ in *_under_* as a good example.
Naxaes yeah...at my country they teach British English, but people normally when they talk in English tend to speak in a mixture of both American and British.
I don't get the difference between "an" and "ang"

I know a chinese girl who's name is "cao". Isn't this a curse word in chinese? Why would her parents choose this word? I know about the tones of course, but it still seems crazy to me.
There many many characters in Mandarin with the sound "cao", but only one is a curse word!
I've been to casinos and there is no seat #4 on the tables, and I thought this was because #4 with a different tone means "death". Cha bu duo, but I guess it's too complicated for me.
There was a famous family during the Three Kingdoms period with the Cao name. I think it had the descending tone over the a? I don't remember.
My bad, scratch that it's Cáo Cāo.
棒棒糖🍭
u are very beautful that makes this intersting
You are so gorgeous 💕 ❤ 😘
