Noticed the crusty green ground strap. I'd change that out. I just watched South Main Auto Channel and Eric did a video on a 2019 Silverado that had all kinds of electrical issues and it turned out to be a corroded body to frame ground strap that fell apart in his hand.
@@WatchJRGo I really like that Jag but it will be likely a week or a couple of weeks, or more until that you will give us a update on finish up that Jag!!🤣
John You are fantastic. I am impressed with all that you can do with fixing cars. I wish I had the same skills. Nice work 👍👌 I love watching this UA-cam channel 👍❤️
Not that I'm thinking about replacing either my 08 Box S LE or my 08 Cayman S Sport, but thought the F-type coupe & conv would be suitable replacements. They're both so sexy. After watching this series, no way I'd ever do that. Thanks John Ross for saving me from a huge mistake and disaster.
I'm not sure how you find the energy to put these hours in but real glad you do. Tantalisingly close now, and I'm sure there will be a few software glitches on start up, but nothing much in the grand scheme. Good luck and hope all goes well because boy do you deserve it too.
Looking forward to the 3.0T teardown. I have two, one that sips oil (66k miles), might need a qt during 5k oil changes if driven hard. The other guzzles oil (130k miles), needs a qt for just about every gas fill up.
Looking forward to seeing the 3.0t teardown. Pretty sure that's the same motor that's in our 2016 SQ5. Been watching for awhile - never commented, enjoy watching your channel from KC. Keep up the great work!
Suggestion on a better option to stand on, other than a stool. Lowes has a Kobalt stepladder for around 100-150 bucks that’s super lightweight and stable.
I think your biggest error as concerning alignment was you did not apply tape on the floor for the exact position of the trolley when you removed the engine....could have made life easier for you.
Have you thought for the next time you're putting an engine in on a car. When trying to guide the shocks in run a length of rope and feed the rope through the central hole and it should allow you to put the suspension in the right place.
It was easy, got it half way in with your foot on it inch by inch guiding it into place, 2-3 man job.. oh man :D John ross would a make a great announcer :)
You do a brilliant job, not just here but on every project. I also think that a big part of your channel are the suppliers/partners or simple places like O'Reilly's,
Damn UA-camrs. "I decided to stay and finish up the entire car. For the most part." "If you look over here, we've got the entire lower floor of the house framed, except for these three walls." "I don't know about you, but this finished project car looks awesome, right? Just need to put on that last clearcoat, then do a polish of the whole thing." haha
J R, did you ever find out where that bolt went ? Also, where do you get the energy to work so long and to throw yourself totally into these projects ?
I forgot the music during mating ritual... I apologize for this oversight 😂
I thought you were trying something new.
Great content regardless!
I actually prefer it without music during those sections.

Man I just love watching this series.
Tomorrow we fire it! 💯
Yes, this is going to be a cool car when he’s done. Would like to see a final detail too!

Hey John, that ground strap is all green. You should change it now. Before grounds start looking for other places to ground.
Nah you have to leave something to break next. Otherwise the jag will find an alternative item to break.
Looks like a engine-out job, like everything else on this simple car..
I love the quick flips you do but I must say I've really enjoyed this deep dive and engine swap with the Jag. Still one of my favourite channels.
Thank you for continuing to do explanatory builds.

Replacing a Porsche with a Jag? No way man.

He’s not there all day he comes in at night and video

5:20 That ground braid doesn't look to healthy, might be time to change it now, while it's still on the lift?
A good time to change that green crusty ground strap ;) Just ask Eric O
I love series like this JR! I would absolutely love to see some classic Honda in the future if possible!
I enjoy your videos,,,,was a Wichitain for 40 yrs now a Floridian for 6 so far,,,thanks!

Oversight not error.
Thanks, interesting project, not that I am looking to rebuild a Jag, but I've had to replace an engine on a 94 Galant 2.4 (balance belt broke)
File this under third time is a charm. Excellent vid series.
What’s wild is that I saw one these parked when I left work the other day, they are beautiful
I love this series. I'd like to see your Mom and Dad take this for a ride after it's detailed. Any chance you could bring the family back?
I've enjoyed the Jag series. Are you going to keep it a while or flip it as soon as it’s done?
What an incredible job, especially doing the mating 👍. Looking forward to the next engine teardown.
What about that connection for the expansion tank you were worrying about? Presumably that will be clarified in the next video?
Have you thought for the next time you're putting an engine in on a car.

Dang so excited for tomorrow! This is an amazing rebuild. Kudos Jr!
Next time dropping eng and transmission out mark floor so u can get it slide back up thru engine bay.
Just getting time to watch this. I swore when the notification came up and it said "Driving My Cheap Jag ONTO Its New Engine."
Looking forward to the 3.0T tear down. I have one in my A6 Avant, it has been a really good motor. 190k and no problems.
I've been waiting on this!

JR I love how expressive you are. Well done, I can’t wait 🤩
Nothing like a Jr vid before bed haha!
Good to see it's almost done
I can't wait to hear her ROAR!
Almost running now it sounds like 👍🎆
So close... shipping on the supercharger coupler was dragging, I just got it installed! 🍻
I hope it meets your expectations when it's moving again, should be a nice quick cruiser.
Really enjoy your channel ,I have a f type jaguar manual V6S 450bhp so find it interesting, keep up the good work ,hi from the UK.
Another great video from JR. Thanks
My ocd must know!... where did the bolt that fell out go?
JR: "All the bolts are back in...............(except the one that dropped when we lifted it)"
Damn UA-camrs.
"I decided to stay and finish up the entire car. For the most part."
"If you look over here, we've got the entire lower floor of the house framed, except for these three walls."
"I don't know about you, but this finished project car looks awesome, right? Just need to put on that last clearcoat, then do a polish of the whole thing."
haha
J R, did you ever find out where that bolt went ? Also, where do you get the energy to work so long and to throw yourself totally into these projects ?
Did you find the overflow hose?
Statue is the most underrated of the squad, change my mind
that's going to a great finished product
Hoo boy, I would have replaced that ground strap, got a good bit of the green death on it. At least you're not in salt country.
You're going to LOVE THIS CAR...I love mine...👊🏼💚👊🏼
Some say that JR hasn't slept since Windows 8 was released.
Dang! I hope I never get short-sheeted on this channel. I'll never get to bed. 😉 Another great series...
Crazy amount of work.
Can't believe the amount of work. Recommend enjoying the car for a week or two, then selling it to someone you'll never meet again! :P
You should build a living quarters area in the building.
Great amount of work completed JR well done 👏🏻I was just wondering what is the state of play with the crusher? 👍🏻🏴
Jeez i could really use that lift 32v swapping my 95 thunderbird. Praying it'll go in from the top, i know the 2v would only go out the bottom
I've never heard of anyone removing a 4.6 or 3.8 from the bottom of an MN-12.
@@Ed-ui2qe speaking from experience, its hell coming out the top. i ended up pulling the heads before i could get the 2v out
@@Ed-ui2qe also, getting the 32v out of the mark8 was piss easy coming out with the subframe
I really liked this series
How did you get torque convert off?
Hi JR. How do you reconcile different VIN numbers on the new engine and the chassis for selling on?
Did you change the left Falangie?
To be an "untrained" mechanic ,err technician, you do some pretty amazing stuff.
1:32 mark. That's what she said!
2:30 Song ID?
I think you can skip the stairmaster today, it looks like you got a good workout going up and down your step stool.
The Jag looks well engineered
That green ground wire hanging down does not look good? Probable problem.
You need cameos from Gabe and Josh to get you over 350k subscribers!
Jr keep up the good work always love watching your work if I could u would be my mechanic
looking forward to this one.
I'm eager to see any carnage in the Jaaaaaaggg engine.
Nah he's not gonna sacrifice the core refund on it. (Edit: oh wow he said he was gonna, go figure!)
ICE cars are so complicated. Amazing they are as reliable as they are!
howcome you didnt put a v8 in there? you could have gone with a coyote 5.0. im sure it would fit pretty good in there
Oh hell ya was gunna hit the hay but noooopeeeee 😂
"Just a little bit longer and we can put it in the hole"
That's what he said... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hope this turns out well for you!
That was some swap.. great work
Where's all your buddies to help you ???I think they all owe you a helping hand.
Working on their own cars 😂
I’m a bit sad for the poor Symposer…. :(
1:33 WHAT?!?!?!?!
Yep ... I still would have put a Small Block Chevy in it. But good job JR, I will never buy a JAG.
That was a pretty cheesey stool you were standing on.
This is the worst time - have I tightened everything up, is everything plugged in....
Yeah you shove that camera between the block and that flex plate shove it real nice .. #CarPo®n
Lmao...
2 more episodes and she is driving on the road again.
U have it so easy compared when I was a kid
But... But....... What was the bolt that fell out for? I have to know!
Hopefully all the whining about JLR build quality will be drowned out by supercharger whining.
Good job!!!
Great thumbnail and title
My OCD, where did that bolt go!!!
You need to get Sam's step mum to do a voice over hhaaa
Sounds NSFW 😳
wow you make that look so easy but I know its definitely not....
F150 ecoboost rebuild flip....never been done?
Good luck.
Too bad about copyrights because I have some excellent suggestions you could have played during the mating ritual. Great progress though
Was thinking of Hot Chocolate - I’ll Put You Together Again
Exactly lol
"Should be able to drive tomorrow"
Things that never happen
Definitely a couple man job
I was waiting for Fire In The Hole.
That is JAGtastic.
Dropping your Jag onto it is new engine? Please explain.
I hope it has a rod knock lol
