What a nice video of Kingwood. I am contemplating a move to WV and am trying to gather as much information about that area and a few others. I see here a nice sense of community and patriotism. So much history to be seen as well. Reminds me of the town I grew up in. I would be interested in knowing any comments about living in Kingwood, good / bad or otherwise. Thanks, again! Fun fact. I remember seeing this video when I was house-hunting a few months into the COVID shutdown of 2020. Didn't think much of it since I watched a million small town videos that summer. Exactly a year later, June 2021 my wife and I bought a home on Jackson Street in Kingwood. Small world.
Was doing some research on my step-mother. She was born in Kingwood. Matter of fact, most of her family were from there and most al of them are buried at Maplewood in Kingwood. My step-mother's mother was a Uphold and born in Kingwood. She married a Hanlin andt lived in Oakland,Maryland. I remember going there in the early 1970s when I was a small kid.
