- Moray Coast!, Findhorn to Lossiemouth, lovely coast full of WW2 coastal defences and the busiest UK RAF Airbase RAF Lossiemouth, so plenty to see going on. Booked into Findhorn Campsite after the first days riding and what would be a comfortable 345 miles, shows just how capable a bike the Royal enfield Classic 350 is!
If you enjoyed this check out my playlist for my Royal enfield Classic 350, thanks!

Long time since I drove these roads. So lovely to see again. Most enjoyable. Nimrods, wow
Worth the trip round Mark, even just to see the Nimrod! 😜😁👍
@@Coastriderscotland up in Ullapool, took the Mokka, as piss’in doon. Got Matt Morrow tonight, Rhu tomorrow and Then Calum and Michele Wednesday night.
Loving watching you ride these roads on the 350..inspiring me to go back to basic motorcycling..👌👍
Thank you, I find this bike and how it is so nice to ride at fast enough speeds on country roads so rewarding 😁
Cheers Bruce
That was a good trip back into the past Bruce, I was stationed at Kinloss as an airframe fitter working on Nimrods 1970 to 1973, and then spent about 8 months working on Jaguars at Lossiemouth in 1976. I recognised several old pubs I spent my youth in, lovely place. I have managed to re visit my youth on a 350 without getting out of my chair, many thanks. Tim
Hi Tim, great to hear from you of your memories working here on those aircraft! You will have some stories to tell of your time with the RAF 👍
Thanks for coming to say hi and your comments
Cheers Bruce
Excellent footage of the Typhoons! Love the sound!
Amazing to watch Steven, rib cage vibrating as they took overbead with the after burner roaring! 💪😘😘
@@Coastriderscotland Yes, I’m a big avgeek too….
Ex brother in-law worked on Tornados at Lossiemouth. Never got on the base, though.
Great memories of Moray and camped at Findhorn a couple of times.
Great vlog.
Thanks and glad you enjoyed the vlog 😁👍
Cheers Bruce
As always, fine job. 🙂 Loved the jets. Just watched an excellent doc on Frank Whittle! Canada developed a delta wing interceptor called the Avro Arrow back in the mid 50s. Lots of theories as to why it never bore fruit. Most popular were USA related.😉 Cheers 🥃
Glad you enjoyed that Lance 😁 those Typhoon Jets are amazing to watch, held in the sky by computers! 😜😁👍
What an amazing Autumn you're getting Bruce, I'm trying to keep up with all the adventures. Will get some time tomorrow after the 6am Grand Prix with my cup of tea. That bikes done you really well 👍
Hi Glyn, had some great rides and still love riding this bike so much!
Hope your Meteor is coming along nicely! Look forward to your next update 👍😁
Cheers Bruce
Hi watching your video, me and my wife were up that way in our campervan recently, then at 11min 47 secs into the film! thats us!!!!! travelling the opposite way ;)
Ha that’s ace your in the film David 😁👍 hope you too enjoyed your trip 😁👍
Cheers Bruce
Loving your adventure and the visit to RAF Lossiemouth. Seeing those four Typhoons take off was a real surprise. I have to admit I'm an aircraft geek. Last week I saw two Typhoons flying low level around Seahouses on a training exercise with RAR Boulmer . The power from those jet engines always impress. Thanks again Carl. 😁👍
Glad you enjoyed it!😁👊
Hi Bruce. Really enjoying these videos. Those Typhoons reminded me of scary moments waiting for the train to Edinburgh at Leuchars train station, although I think in those days it would have been Lightnings or Phantoms.
You would be sitting on the bench waiting for the train, and suddenly the planes would appear over the airfield fence and scream over the station roof. 😱
Hi David, must have been some noise with those old birds screaming overhead! 😁👍
Cheers Bruce
A couple of mates at school in the late 1960's were in the sea cadets, they were always telling us about their trips up to Lossiemouth with the cadets during the school holidays, we never fully realised all that stuff they were seeing and experiencing while the rest of us were doing the same old things at home ..
Good timing catching those Typhoons taking off by the way! 🙌👍
Lossiemouth is a lovely place I could happily live, and the Typhoons taking off was brilliant to see! 😁👍👍👍
Cheers Bruce
Hi whilst mate and i were just coming into lossiemouth i was behind he pointed down to ducks and chicks by roadside i was watching 2 typhoons coming overhead to come into land how i didnt drop bike ill never no...😂 dito on nice place to live....👌 we stopped hotel opposite golf club superb staff food etc....but dont tell anybody about secret scotland🤫🤫😂😂brill vid cheers...
It’s a lovely place and top spot this now for Typhoon action! 👍😁
Nice one.
Thank you! Cheers! 😁👍
Great video Bruce.
Thanks Phil 👍
Did ya notice that when you 1st rode the classic that the front suspension felt stiff in the turns? I thought it was the ABS in the brakes trying to straighten me upright?
Hi, i never experienced that with my 350, so not sure what would be causing that?
do you do your valves a tad tight? no lifter tick that I can tell! seems like you have got the sweet spot
maybe there is the valve tick after all
Hi, I set them so the feeler gauge was firm to pull through 😁👍
Hi I have a question I know you ride the 350cc but I've been offer the 500cc in army colours which I like can I ask have you have tried the 500cc ? If so I would appreciate your views ......thanks
Hi, my friend just purchased a 17 plate EFI 500 and I have now rode it several times, it too is a lovely bike, it has more vibes but has more torque 😁
It is a similar style of bike but quite different, not in a bad way but it heralds back to the classic bikes of the 1950s with some modern reliability touches, while the new J series 350 motors are super smooth engines which wile have character bike builds also have bombproof smooth engines and day in day out maintenance free reliability 👍😁
Cheers Bruce
Thanks Bruce for you time and effort in replying its much appreciated, I think I will go for the 500cc 😊
Hi there are your friends coming to join us for dinner tonight?
