This was George's second single release after the break-up of The Beatles. It was his follow-up to his first solo release, "My Sweet Lord," which is a must-listen. After George's death, in the "Concert for George," Billy Preston, sometimes referred to as "the fifth Beatle," performed "My Sweet Lord," and it was phenomenal as well.
Great tune. On the George CD I keep in the car. And yes, I can relate. Want to have a real OBE? Listen to George's "Marwa Blues" or "Stuck Inside A Cloud". Thanks.
Probably my favorite Harrison song, at least until his Traveling Wilburys work in the late 80's, which you should definitely hear. The brunette woman with him in many of the photos is Olivia Arias, his second wife from 1978 until his death in 2001.
In the Beatles early days they would throw George a bone or two every album. As he progressed as a songwriter (he learned directly from the best) he soon outgrew that a developed into one of the best writers of all time.
George was just such a nice, humble dude and it rungs iut un his music and lyrics. Like many of his romantic sounding love songs, hes singing to god here, not a romantic partner.
this song is from is first album " all thing muss pass " a gem and considered one of the best post beatles album ..... i recommended you to listen few song of the album ... " my sweet lord" ( a n01 hit single ) " all thing muss pass" or " itsnt a pity " and i m sure you liked it ( and hope you do a video reaction ) ...thanks for your job and hope my english is ok
Such a great song. Just such a catchy melody, simple but the riff is such ear candy. So well done. Some complain about the Phil Spector sound of wall production making the instruments blend too much, but it sounds great to me.
One of my favorite songs. Love it.
This is my favorite song of his ❤ His voice gives me The Beatles sound the most. Good to see it makes it to your list.
If it made you happy, George Harrison did his job. Great song
This is a classic. Possibly George's best? IDK. It's right there with "My Sweet Lord" and "Give Me Love."

Harrison's All Things Must Pass album was the best post Beatle album. Also, check out Art of Dying. Sounds morbid but actually very uplifting.
George is my favorite ex-beatle🎉
5:28.........That "thin guitar sound" of George Harrison.
You are correct: the song was featured in Martin Scorcese's classic film 'Goodfellas'.
