@@JamieMcJapan It's a small/mid-sized country that's consists of two parts - the majority French-speaking Wallonie and the majority Dutch-Speaking Flanders (plus a small German-speaking community) There are significant linguistic, cultural and political differences between the two major parts, they roughly speaking either orient themselves to France or the Netherlands and don't have too much common ground. More than once, those differences have threatened to rip the country apart. At various points, they have struggled to form any kind of stable, long-term government (too many small parties with wildly different interests).

YES! Discovering Stromae helped me get through the pandemic. I've watched his 2 hr concert from 2016 like dozens of times. I don't understand any of his lyrics, but I love his vibe.

Same. I've listened to Stromae for years and don't know the language...but I still sing it. It makes me want to learn. Love all of his videos! Turned me on to lots of other French and European artists!

I feel so blessed and privileged to understand French for the simple fact that I understand his art. Wow. He always mesmerizes me and gives me goosebumps. I have a playlist just for his music. It just hits different and changes my brain chemistry everytime. Love you, Stromae ❤️

I love everything about Stromae.. his ruthless rythm, his magically written lyrics, his stage performance... Genius. Truly a maestro
