Just make a bunch of blocks of different sizes. Like a 2 inch, a 4 inch, a 6 inch, etc. That way, you can choose the perfect size for that situation so you won't have to worry about the outer edges of the block sanding in areas you don't want it to. Just a thought because that's what I've done
So...i always thought you sand the glaze(lets say a paint run you sanded off)...and then repaint...ur saying just sand till all the glaze is gone? It absorbs the color around it as you sand it...?
Great tutorial. Ive used the glaze method too many times but never the marker. Gonna try that. Can you provide a link to the 3000-5000 grit system you use
@@westbay5858 Tape on the left side of the razor blade tape on the right side what it does is only allows the razor blade to go so far so all the stuff that’s high it’s able to chop them off it does not let it touch the paint only the bumps that got too high
Nice trick , at first I was like this guy does not know what he's doing. After watching the full Video I was like "This Guys knows what he's doing" great tip!
I used to do it that way. But marking the run with a permanent black marker and sanding until the mark is gone works way better and cleaner for me. Give that a try.
KC BILL yeah I did that with another sag in the video. I like the glaze on heavier runs just because it protects the clear around it from getting removed too fast
I also used SPI Universal clear and have a sag to fix. Because SPI Clear is so soft, how long did you have to wait before working out the run? Days, weeks, months? Thanks for the video
You can use any glaze. Dolphin glaze works well, icing works. I think in this video I was using evercoat glaze putty. Has to be a two part hardened glaze putty do not use a non hardened putty like they sell in the soft tubes.
@@RJTickler I just uploaded a video of what I picked up at my buddy's construction site but yea ima do that and go to home depot to buy some thank you ! Hope all is well brother I been watching your channels since the gold flake paint job ✌
Nice repair. I have some extra applied paint that i'll have to shave, after it dries. I hope it will come up a nice blending with the old paint, after wet sanding and polishing.

lonestar lows 3m trizact 6" DA discs
@@RJTickler is there a special pad needed? My da uses sticky back discs
Those are great tips. Thank you.
I like the razor blade trick with tape on both sides of the blade so it doesn’t cut into it the paint comes out beautiful every time then wet sand it
Tape on both sides would leave no blade exposed. Can you explain more detail.

Jim Decaire yeah should work just the same.
Perfect
Good stuff once again, RJ delivers 👍 that 1/4 is wet, what ever parts you paint on that car are going to look better then the rest of the car 😁
John Bro thanks man. It was so wet it was dripping lol.
You can do it I be Lev in you so I say go big you the man bro

Jeff Augg this was done about 18 hours or so after painting if I remember right. I’ve sanded 12 hours after painting before.
can you do this over paint?
Great trick , right on 🤙
How do I get ahold of you for a quote on body work and paint?

How.can I get some of those blocks from you RJ
kolorkingsocal I could cut some for you. But honestly it’s just 1/4 plexiglass that you can get at Home Depot or most hardware stores.
