You do great reviews with meaningful insights. The GPD Pocket 4 is essentially an ultraportable & mini-PC combined. Like you said it's not designed for huge productivity on the go purely by itself. It's also functions better as a gaming console with an external bluetooth controller.
I've used GPD pocket PC w/built-in RS232 serial port for work (Tech, engineering) - I'm buying this pocket-4 for the same reason. The KVM & Serial port option is perfect on-site interface to equipment - this thing is not just for gaming - it's a swiss knife in the workplace ..
There are a few things that I think GPD can improve this product in the next gen: - Use fanless and blade less fan design to save space. - Put a larger battery and still maintain the same weight (or even lighter) - Intel wifi 7 and bt 5.4 is good to have; however, Intel 6e is also good, but must be Intel - USB-C 4v2 or thunderbolts 5 80Gbps (120Gbps) is a must for eGPU 4090/5090 with a minimal performance hit. I like an idea of hot plug 1 single type C connector for all mouse, kb, GPU, multi-displays and fast charging. So it can replace all desktops and laptops at my home and office. - Improve hinge (if possible) - Competitive price
7:40 this is why I'm designing an adapter to slip onto the BSP-D8 to hold the Pocket 4 firmly, also to let the fan vent breathe as well as when it's on a table as seen at 9:20 which is more severe than the D8 would be.
@gpdgameconsole heres my vote too. I would love a win mini 2 thats the same size as the win mini, but no gamepad, bigger keyboard, and swivel screen. That would be my dream device!
I have the GPD Pocket 3 the screen on my unit is not as great as the one you showed on this review. Too much fade, I will personally wait for the GPD P5, maybe the screen will be borderless and hiting 10'' or 9 plus
@@gpdgameconsole only good thing about Ally X is 80wh battery with weight only 678g. GPD should consider more battery for mini, max and pocket, or even upcoming win 5. Bigger and heavier but more time to use in a flight or train when travel. Thx for reading my op.
For an 8 inch device this is pretty normal, people buying an ultra portable do care about compactness. Not everything should be the ROG Ally X... but I totally agree most things should have an 80Wh battery, the GPD Win Max 2 is currently 67Wh and it would be nice to see that bump up to 80Wh.

The Indiegogo doesn't have the 32GB like in this video, will it be an option?
Nope, the 370 just 64GB
@@gpdgameconsole thanks, but the video shows a 32gb 1tb model?
@@VirtualPrawn Yeah, that is just for beta test unit
@@gpdgameconsole
Do you test the game with screen max resolution ? If yes, isn’t dropping the resolution to 1080 is good enough? And we can reduce the tdp for that
Sure you can drop the resolution

This is Pocket 4 and it has 2.5K screen
Does the 2280 have to be single sided?
Yes
Available on Amazon or on AliExpress?
indiegogo
Can you edit 4K videos with it ?
Yes
@ thank you very much 😃
Is this support pen stylus?
No.
Yes. It supports the MS Pen standard, same as Pocket 3.
45wh battery is way too small, hope for 75-80wh!
That will too big and too heavy for UMPC

I think we should bring extra (replaceable) batteries, just like we do with cameras.
@@swenic That's an idea
