Right away I was thinking "this track is really narrow" and then you talk about it being tight. You're starting to look pretty comfortable on the 250 smoker.
Boy that kx is chunky In the mid range..have u tried putting on the pro circuit extended link on the shock..my friend has the 06. Said the same thing about his bikes handling..put on the link and it helped alot..he said one corner the back end felt skiddish the next the front end wanted to wash ..he said it was infuriating. Those kxs are quirky anyhow but guys still rip and really like them..u will get it down
@@DerekHallman what year was that KX? I’ve got a ton of dirt bikes in my garage lot of old XRs I have always wanted to have a fully restored “last” model year of each of the big Japanese 250 2 strokes as part of my collection. Those would be worth some money once we’re old
@@SkinnySkinch this is a 2005 I just bought recently. It's in great shape, really low hours. I plan on doing the same as you haha collecting the rest of the last gen Japanese 250 smokers. RM is next on my list! Do you have an XR400? I used to dream of having an XR400 with the A-loop restyle kit as a kid.
@@DerekHallman I had a 2004 Ricky Carmichael edition RM250 when I lived in FL that bike was the smoothest best turning bike I ever rode. It turned so damn nice. Looked sweet with the gold wheels too. I have XR100, XR200, XR250, XR400 and XR650R also a supermoto street legal
Man, it was like NYC out there! Just a guess at it, but if its knifing on you and you're getting a lot of high speed instability, I would try to lower the forks in the clamps a mill or two.
man there was a few hundred people out that day! never seen so many people at CCDR. When you told me to raise the forks on my KTM it helped wonders so I'll trust your advice and try lowering them on the KX see how she feels thanks man
@@DerekHallman I’ve never seen half that many either! I bet that was a blast!! Good to see that place alive. I forgot I had told you that on the KTM haha. I tried to look at their position on the video but it was hard to tell. If they aren’t flush, get them flush.
@@DerekHallman is this nearby south fork? Couple buddies an I are planning a trip soon to south fork because of watching u guys ride it, tracks down there look sick!
@@RippinInTheMittenMX Yeah it's about 30 minutes away from south fork. Check out Robert's Track and Trails in Saluda VA also. I always have a fun time riding there.
well if im correct kris keefer said when you get your front fork bouncing like that its cuz your suspension is too soft and whats happening is its too far in the stroke so it wants to power back out as if its fully compressed... again i could be wrong, im also learning suspension characteristics @kkeefer165
Dude that thing sounds CRISPY !!
He got the same grips as me!
I can know bro is living the dream producing that quality 2 smoke

I would go out a couple clicks on the compression of the forks that might help it stick to the ruts better
I'll give that a shot for sure!
Awesome video! The view is great, and watching you ride that KX250 is awesome. I hope I can gain that type of skill!
Thanks for the nice comment dude! Hope you're enjoying your KX250 😁
The fart sound affect at 6:00 KILLED ME 😂 😂. Another sick day on the KX250. Nice shredding😎
haha bro I felt so good passing and then I just stall it like a dork 😂
Need to try lowering the forks in the tipple clamps and use your clutch more slowing down in the corner I used to ride a 01 kx250
Great upload as usual! Always get a chuckle out of your added fart sound effects 5:56, lol
