This movie was surprisingly good! I don't usually care for modern movies since films these days are cliche or have crappy plots. But this one was actually GREAT. The effects were excellent, the characters actually grew on me, the story was nicely handled and actually original, and I am DEFINITELY going to spend some money to see the sequel (if the storytelling hasn't wavered that is). I seriously hope the next movie is good just this like was! And I'll admit...
I ship Ben and Zoey! Hoping they don't die in Escape Room 2! Otherwise, I will be seriously bummed out.

No, the movie has a lot of similarities with Squid game. The whole premise of the games being ran by the most wealthy/elite getting bored of life and wanting to see what people will do in life death decisions and moments.
Jason’s character was very much like Seong-Joon’s character in that he would do anything and sacrifice anything to win.
The people that created the games also did their research on the contestants. The games are also rigged for their to be one winner just like Squid game.
There are differences though.

I watched this movie in hall with my friends our plan was to watch some other movie.The hall was full so we changed our plan and decided to watch escape room.Nobody watched the trailer we simply bought the tickets and went inside....The movie was so fantastic and it was my 1st movie in hall and 1st hangout with my friends ❤️

I came back to this trailer cause I saw people commenting that the trailer for the second movie revealed on the deaths, but looking back on this trailer (and having seen the movie) the editing does help to keep the deaths a mystery. So hopefully the trailer for movie 2 did the same thing.

He digs the fact that the fires are cool, the trailer doesn't show him and some tragic backstory or mental conflict and he's the first one to die. having a character die makes it seem real to the others, but has no development to him. I put this on half heartedly last night, not really expecting much but lacking anything better that I hadn't seen before. I really enjoyed it. It's a very good film, keeps you entertained all the way through with never a dull moment. I'm looking forward to seeing the next one now. 🎬
this happend to me, this is a crazy story,my 5 friends and me were in a hospital, and my friend saw a toxic gas thingy, just like ben's room, it was 7 minutes before we can smell the toxic gas, we were freaking out and the patients was just chilling there and making a tiktok(but her/his account got banned) and when it was 5 minutes,we were solving a puzzle, my 2 friends were screaming at the window(it cant open) and when in 2 minutes we start shaking and screaming so loud, we forgot we have the smartest friend in the world(not really lol) we escaped when it was 18 seconds, and that's how me and my friends will never go back to a hospital

i watched it and it gave me Saw vibes because people die one by one by each trap (room, for that matter of this movie) and each rooms were unique (burning lodge, snow forest room, upside down pool bar, etc.)

Um, I really hope you don't go into Part 2 thinking you are going to get a conclusion. They'll bleed at least four more films out of this premise, and it will only "end" when they decide not to make another one because "Escape Room 5" did poorly. These things are never "wrapped up."

A recommended watch if you want adrenaline, puzzles, a scare, and be on the edge on your seat! Extremely fun film and well-written.
Just got it on DVD and watched it!! I loved it and waiting on a sequel to hopefully come out!!

Don't worry, Escape Room 2 will be released in January 2021, unless they delay it again, it was supposed to be released in August 2020, but the longer waiting, the better the movie
