Honestly, I would expect Gin to _downplay_ his abilities and give lower numbers than the actual ability so as to trick his opponent into underestimating him; like saying it can go one hundred swords lengths but it actually goes further so people will think they're safe when their still inside his range. Same with his Bankai.

But then there's just this quiet moment where he grabs Aizen's sword leaving you confused for a moment before suddenly BAM Bankai through the gut, Gin reveals himself true Bankai ability, does more damage to Aizen that pretty much any character in the series, steals the Hogyoku, has a flashback explaining his past, and gets killed with Rangiku crying over his body. And, suddenly, within literally a single episode/a couple chapters every single thing you know about the character is completely upended and you're left heartbroken at the death of a character who you didn't even have any connection with not two episodes before. THAT is good writing. I know people like to say Kubo's a bad writer, but I feel he's like the author of Fairy Tail. When the writing's bad, it's bad but you keep going for posterity's sake. I thought Unohana's Ban Kai used blood to melt the targets flesh. I mean that's pretty much what she did to Kenpachi so I dont get all the confusion. Her whole theme is body fluids cause the first release is the manta thing that uses stomach acid or saliva to heal people. So that's like her new persona while the full release is her old savage self. Which makes me wonder if the Shi Kai was originally brutal and aggressive. It did look pretty intimidating. As for the Gin/Rangiku thing Kubo as usual only scraped the surface and left a lot of questions. It was implied that she had piece of her soul gouged out to feed the Hogyoku. Aizen explained that his version of Hogyoku was made up of amalgamated Shinigami souls. That makes more sense than just reiatsu and why Gin would go to some extremes for revenge. It has massive implications too but Kubo went nowhere with it
I like to think that even in its Shikai state it would momentarily turn into dust. But that's mostly because I'll look for any link to tie Gin and Rangiku closer together. Both had swords that would turn into dust when released.
I didn't really care for gin when he was introduced, his shikai seemed underwhelming compared to the others we see in the soul society arc, but omg his redemption and hidden plan made him one of my favorite characters instantly

So if Gin's Bankai extends up to 13 kms if I remember correctly then can he really see or detect enemies spiritual pressures up to that distance. Are his senses that sharp to remain active over such a long range?
Rhitambhar Goswami he said it went this far but I think that was just a lie he told about his bankai when he was hiding the fact it was a poison bankai and not a speed one
@@JBuns02 But he did slash through an entire town and buildings over a large radius.Even if the destruction was due to poison it indicates that the sword indeed stretch long at incredible speed.
Rhitambhar Goswami no doubt it does have incredible extension and retraction speed and length I don’t disagree with that I was just saying I think the figure of 13km was just a number thrown out there as gin was being deceiving and I think it’s most likely shorter then that
@@JBuns02 Oh ok I understand. His is a really strange sword btw. Most bankais are extension of their shikais and have similar but more advanced powers. It's strange his shikai has no poison abilities but his bankai has a very powerful one.Maybe he lied abt his shikai as well.
The most ironic part about gin is that if he didn't act and betray Aizen when he did and just played along for another 5 minutes, dangai ichigo would have showed up, beat Aizens ass and gin would have never of died.
So when Isshin slays Grand Fisher (arrancar), and even before that I believe, it's stated that soul reapers ~can~ control the size/ shape of their sword, and in fact need to by the time they reach lieutenant and captain levels. As such, couldn't any seated reaper use their unreleased sword as a nerfed Shinso?
They probably won’t be able to lift it or even fight with it because it would be too big to use. It’s just like lifting weights. Say you’re able to lift 230 pounds but you would move very slowly and have to focus way too much where as if you lift something light like 90 pounds you can lift it so easily you can run and jump with it. That’s what soul reapers do. That’s why Ichigo has to use two hands with his sword.
If the sword retracted faster than Ichigo was able to realize, then wouldn’t it technically be faster than light because the eyes take in light to register where things are in their vicinity?
I remember the first time I saw Gin for some reason the first thing I said in my head was “oh it’s a kitsune”. Then I realized I could’ve just said “oh it’s a fox” and proceeded to rethink what I was doing with my life 😂
I feel like gin’s zanpacto spirit would look like one of the snake sages from naruto. Shinso vs wailing dark(sword used by August in asura’s wrath. Shinji is a good example of explaining his abilities lol.
Gin is actually a fox, not a snake. The snake is a ruse. Kira (to an extent) is the only who knows Gin's true kind nature. (Gin's eyes are similar to a japenese fox),
I do indeed. What even funnier is that in the English dub, toshiro once mispronounced kido as Kaido and then it later turned out to be an actual thing.

His swords name and abilities are petty symbolic. He is the snake in the grass and Shinso is his fang, the poison is fitting for him and his ability. his whole purpose became to kill Aizen who later became a god like figure. Nimaya said that the asauchi is imprinted with the will and soul of the shinigami to become his zanpaktou. Really it makes perfect sense why his sword is named God killing spear. and even why it became what it became.
He needed to be in a position where he could touch his sword ( no homo) and then immediately stab him while concealing his own sword ( again no homo but a little rapey)
Honestly never believed Gin was dead because rongeku wanted to see his body outside of squad 3 base I believe. I also believe even if his sword was basic, many people couldn't counter it. Remember, he was schooling Ichigo...before they returned to the soul society. The fight between him and Toshiro was epic also...

It has massive implications too but Kubo went nowhere with it
i remember i was so hyped when he slightly opened his eyes in that fight against toshiro
I like to think that even in its Shikai state it would momentarily turn into dust. But that's mostly because I'll look for any link to tie Gin and Rangiku closer together. Both had swords that would turn into dust when released.
Tekking is just the most precious nerd ever. This community doesn't deserve his wonderful intro's.
For a brief moment Gin and Rangiku were "together" inside of Aizen.
God. I forget. How were they?
Sorry I’m late. Just came by to say, calmly, “Tekking is doing another Bleach video and it’s about GIN!!!!! Thank you and have a great day!
I didn't really care for gin when he was introduced, his shikai seemed underwhelming compared to the others we see in the soul society arc, but omg his redemption and hidden plan made him one of my favorite characters instantly
It seemed weak cus thats what he wants people to think. He wants ti be underestimated
Bleach and Let’s Plays are the only reason i stay subbed. 👍🏻
Gin was my first favorite anime character ever 😢
I had no idea you were making Bleach videos again! I've never clicked on a video so fast in my life.
I'm subbed to you but somehow youtube hasn't been showing me your videos
His is the fastest there is and it turns to dust which gives it such a speed and recoil
I’m not only liking this, I am loving this!
Justice for Gin Ichimaru.... We want more Gin Ichimaru screen time 😁
Thank you for keeping my bleach stoke going. I love the videos man keep it going
You're next discussion about bleach should explain the Espadas Resurrections. Just an idea but I think that would be cool.
Or do one about Central 46
Gin nd itachi definitely the unsung heros of the anime world
The most ironic part about gin is that if he didn't act and betray Aizen when he did and just played along for another 5 minutes, dangai ichigo would have showed up, beat Aizens ass and gin would have never of died.
Being gin is suffering
Damn it Kubo!
Anybody else appreciates Tekking's dedication to his cold opens?
"Get Wrecked Shinjo" you forgot the abriged version
This video is longer than the combined amount of time you see Gin in all of Bleach.
@@theloserest7300 zanpakuto are weightless for their owners
I have been waiting a loooong time for this video
If the sword retracted faster than Ichigo was able to realize, then wouldn’t it technically be faster than light because the eyes take in light to register where things are in their vicinity?
Nope. Same way a bullet from a gun is faster than our eyes can perceive, but nowhere near the speed of light.
I remember the first time I saw Gin for some reason the first thing I said in my head was “oh it’s a kitsune”. Then I realized I could’ve just said “oh it’s a fox” and proceeded to rethink what I was doing with my life 😂
Gin never got to show Rangiku his other Bankai.
It will also probably be long, maybe 13 too? ;)
@@syabiba114 He also never got to release his spiritual pressure.
I'm pretty sure he did.... at least I hope so
He probably did that maybe once.at least adult toshiro is probably hitting that RN lmao
glad to see the bleach vids back. squad 3 had some cool blades.
Best Tekking and best traitor boy Gin
Yutu have won a subscribble. I love this channel
I feel like gin’s zanpacto spirit would look like one of the snake sages from naruto.
Shinso vs wailing dark(sword used by August in asura’s wrath.
Shinji is a good example of explaining his abilities lol.
Orochimaru is Gin's Zanpakuto spirit.
Gin is actually a fox, not a snake. The snake is a ruse. Kira (to an extent) is the only who knows Gin's true kind nature. (Gin's eyes are similar to a japenese fox),
To think about it, I want to see those like Pantera, Murcielago, Suzumushi & Kyoka Suigetsu in spirit/Personified form
Best channel in here, by far
tekking do you remember the healing technique : kaido ?
I do indeed. What even funnier is that in the English dub, toshiro once mispronounced kido as Kaido and then it later turned out to be an actual thing.
There are four emperors, one of which is Kaido, Kaido is used by the 4th division, coincidence I think not!
These videos do everything for my soul
"except that guy" LOL, if I hadn't started with "The rising of the Shield Hero" I wouldn't know who that was... and you should totally watch this anime, never seen a main-char being screwed over in a story this much before
Berserk
@@bboywolf haven't watched that one yet, but in due time
@@InvokingPeace I don't recommend it. The manga is great, the anime (90s version excluded) hurts my eyes. It's literally more enjoyable to read the fight scenes in the Manga as the author drew them better than the animators animated it lmfao.
@@Th1sUsernameIsNotTaken thanks for the info, will start with the manga I guess
@@InvokingPeace, if you want to try and watch the anime to start with don't let me dissuade you, or at least compare their really bad cgi to the manga to understand what I mean xD
I love his zanpakuto.
Gin should have killed aizen, he was the only miss placed piece in aizen's plan.
No way I was just watching your “what’s up with gins bankai” video from a few years ago
Quick question: Why didnt Gin attempt to kill Aizen before he implanted the Hougyouku in his body... he would've killed Aizen for sure...right?
So a series could happen. Gin GOAT ❤️❤️
He needed to be in a position where he could touch his sword ( no homo) and then immediately stab him while concealing his own sword ( again no homo but a little rapey)
So glad you doing this by getting the itch for some Bleach
Gin was my favorite character from Bleach!
So his Zanpakuto's ability is magic sword cancer!
The video I have been waiting for.
I didn’t want to kill Gin, but he forced me to do so. How unfortunate.
Aizen the troll king meh you just love screwing people over
Man I missed those bleach videos so much
Gin X Rangiku change my mind
Best ship in Bleach
No mind to change. It's one of the best ships of all time!
@@sims2lovealot The Celty profile pic proves you are a man of culture.
@@kenansabic2901 Why thank you!
