I would have liked a close up on some of the details. I know well that when I try this, it won't be "just like that" it will be shambles followed by a temper tantrum and the helmet being thrown out of the window. As a person who is "hard of thinking" and half blind it could have been more informative.

I’ve just removed the inner lining of my GT Air and washed it on a delicate cycle with a small amount of detergent. I left the lining parts on a coffee table under a ceiling fan overnight and it was dry in about 12 hours. It smells much fresher now. Removing and reinstoring the lining was very easy as the clips line up exactly and don’t tear away from the lining. It’s pretty much a job of following the bouncy ball. I also noted the high quality of the clips and stitching in the lining. I’ll be sticking with Shoei in the future.

I have wrestled with that top liner around the visor for 30 minutes and still can't get it to stay in. So annoying.

I just had the same experience with my x15. Those front tabs are a total pain in the ass.

My question is how to change the fixed padding what sit at the base of the helmet ? Unfortunately that’s the one that worn out faster because the constant pushing and pulling the helmet from your head and that one is a part of the helmet and doesn’t seem to be a way to get that out let alone replacement part.

Is lining the same for different helmets or it is specific to a helmet model?

My left cheek pad keeps pulling loose when removing my helmet.. very annoying to have to snap it back before riding. Never had these problems with my bell or scorpion helmets

Hi, it might be worth a quick look by your retailer to make sure everything is as it should be.

remember that DOT standards for helmets could have been updated in the meantime which could put your helmet as not DOT approved. Does it mean it does not work? not necessarily but my recommendation would be to get a newer one so you don't take any chances. Remember a helmet is the most important safety gear you can wear! don't jeopardize yourself.

@@keksbrot4995 With all due respect, the 5-year rule is BS. Feel free to provide any evidence that helmets degrade over time from Snell, DOT or ECE. It's all sales and marketing.

@@SoulDaddy33 I dont know if 5 years is rly the point where you should change..but the of durability of Plastic degrades after time. Also the Protection Standards Change. Im havent done any Test so im not sure.
