What I love is that nearly 2 years after you filmed these, I view your wonderful videos and am enjoying making the wonderful Journal Zines 🥰🥰 Thanking for your personal sharing too…..really appreciate your vulnerability and really helpful for personal journaling too…love paper craft, card making, etc but was really wanting to have more purpose for my makes and you have given me so many ideas. Thank you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💓🥰
Thank you so much for your kind words Sally, I really appreciate it. I’m so happy you are enjoying making the journal zines and are getting some more ideas for personal journaling. That’s just wonderful 🥰🤗💕
I share the same interests in books as my daughter. We both love reading. It is so enjoyable to read the same book and then talk about them. Gee! I follow Cece as well. I have tried some of her watercolour doodles too. They are so easy to do and look so nice.
This is such a lovely video as always, with you to guide it. Thanks again Helen. Also a nice coincidense that we both love the work of ceecee. I was so happy that every sunday she suprised us with a new video. Very inspiring aswell. Have a nice weekend!💞🙏
So fun! I think these little projects are so perfect for now bc of their size. There is less pressure to fill a small zine. Loved seeing your cute dimples again today. You would never know that you are nervous at all. Stay well! 😃
Just lovely! I wish I had your steady hand for writing and drawing. Seeing you introduce each video on camera is such a joy. You have such a calm nature it immediately makes me relax and enjoy.
Lovely time watching your video today! Totally inspired to make one for both January and February - and so doable in an afternoon! Thanks again for the inspiration- love getting the notification that a new video is up- totally makes my day every time!!
You have such warm, bright smile, I just have to smile back when you greet us. Also, I love this idea of having a zine per month, I wish mine would not look so badly folded, I keep folding sheets and just can't have it right 😅
Helen, you are a gem. I love to visit your site. It is always full of wonderful info. Instructions for your “Zene” have been on my desk for at least six months. You made it look so easy,so I made one, then two and so on. Your journals are all amazing. Thank you.d
This is so cute! I have an art journal and I really like to put stuff inside of it, so it looks full, and I'm definetly putting a little zine inside of it!
It’s been so lovely to share books and talk about the story lines 🥰 I’ve not watched Firefly Lane, I’ll definitely look into it. Thank you so much for the recommendation 💕
I just folded a January one and one for February! I'm going to play along! I used 12 x12 paper for my start instead. ..mostly out of convenience to not go get out my cutting board lol made a very nice tall zine!
Good evening 👋😊 Helen just love your little zine journal and your book is the best I bought it last year and have used the doodles ideas many times Thank You and yes I do follow Ceecee as her watercolour videos are so informative too stay safe and be careful 🙏🖌️✍️🎨💌🌹👋☺️ enjoy your week also
That’s really lovely of you to say, thank you so much Linda 🥰 I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying my book and zine videos. Take good care of yourself too 🤗💕
Love these journal zines! I will get to trying to make some. It is also great to see your progress with feeling more comfortable in front of the camera - it is lovely to see your growing confidence. ✨✨
Just found this channel and I'm in love with these little zines. Already started making my first. I know this is an old video but *hugs* and congrats on getting over your camera shyness. Personally I think you have lovely smiley eyes. All the best to you and this channel and I hope you make more zine videos soon!
Thank you for another lovely video Helen, I love listening to you talk, you are so calming. I was so chuffed to see that Tim Weaver book, I have read all the previous 9 books in that collection so straight away bought that one :) I think I am going to have to make some of these Zines they are so cute.
I love these little 'zines! I have one of your books (and another in my virtual shopping cart) and really love your drawing style and your relaxed approach to journaling. I've added a strip of washi tape along the long side of one of the 'open pages of my 'zine to create a pocket for tickets or other ephemera from the month. This small book is so easy to tuck in my handbag for a quick note or sketch while I'm out and about. Cheers!
Thank you so much! I’m so happy you are enjoying the zines. They’re such an appealing size aren’t they! Thank you very much for your lovely compliment too 🥰💕
Hi Helen. I am behind on watching your videos so will have to do some catch up. I love your zines! Anything you do is always so lovely with your beautiful printing and handwriting! I watch CeeCee. She is very talented! I am glad you are getting more used to being in front of the camera. You are a lovely person and you speak well and just be yourself! Sometimes people goof up and they will leave it in, and that is fine too. We are all human! You could stand on your head if you'd like and I'd still watch. (others would too, because that is quite a feat!!) Haha!! When you watch someone on YT routinely you get to feel like you know them and they become friends. At least that is how I feel. I used to watch a channel I loved and she just up and quit. I was so sad. I knew her kids and had watched them from day one, and I loved watching her playing with her children, them growing up, and all her content. She is still on Instagram I think, but it's not the same. Okay....I am rambling on................
Thank you so much for such a lovely compliment Rachel ☺️ I might just give the headstand a go one day! Haha! I know what you mean completely about feeling close to people you’ve followed for a while. I have quite a few I feel like that about. Thank you so much for all your kindness 🤗💕
Helen you are inspiring (and by the way look great on camera). I’ve only been following you a couple of months but you make creating look simple.I love how you incorporate your book images into your work in a creative way. I bought the book and getting ideas on how to use the pics in a creative way really helps me get the most out of it. Thanks
Hi Helen, I have been following you for about a year already but just recently first commented.. But I want to say thank you for this absolutely beautiful idea to make monthly zines. I love to watch you make them. While I am watching this video, I got the idea that at the end of the year, it"d be fun to make a traveler's notebook style cover out of cardboard for example to hold them all. It'd be a chunky little creature but... Oh well haha. Meanwhile I have been making more origami envelopes. Thanks for this tutorial as well. Have a lovely day, stay safe and healthy. Greetings from Aachen, Germany 🦉
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I’m so happy you’re enjoying the zine videos and still making origami envelopes 🤗 I’m thinking of a cover too, or possibly a mini handmade storage box. So many options to consider. Stay safe and well too 💕
L💖VE these Zines...TFS!! 😊 Your rectangle doodles are so FUN & CUTE...great idea to have each month, yes please!! I agree w/ "The Queen's Gambit"...LOVED IT!! 😉 I just finished reading "The Nightingale" by Kristin Hannah; highly recommend!! You're such a pleasure to watch & listen to...& GREAT job in front of the camera!! 🤩
That’s so lovely of you to say. Thank you very much Debbie 🥰 Wasn’t the Queen’s Gambit wonderful! I was completely hooked from the first episode. Thank you so much for the book recommendation too 🤗💕
This is such a brilliant project!! Loved seeing your January journal zine and i love how you've added a photo of the book you're currently reading, i may just do that too and print out the book cover that I'm using. Thank you for this inspiring content Helen loved how you did this 😍😍
It is always such a delight to watch and listen to you, Helen! I was so excited about the zine idea when I watched your video last month, but I still haven't made one yet... 😳🙄🤷♀️ I'm all pumped up again, so I'm hopefully gonna make both January and February today... Or at least start!! 😄 Those doodles on watercolor rectangles from Ceecee are always my favorite go-to instant gratification art "technique." Yours are exquisite, and you always make it look so simple! 🤩😲😀 Thanks for sharing, Helen, and have a wonderful weekend! ♡♡♡ -x.o
