That's exactly what I thought the first moment he used this technique. And to have the ability to program it to build more and more measures to practice sight reading an entire score! Are you hearing this Mr Galt, this could be a good opportunity for you, I think it would be very successful!
The pulse is SO fast. A slower pulse then a faster pulse would be helpful. The underlying lesson though is SO solid, though, that i'll make a slower one myself. It's just TOO good, they way you assembled the basic 1 beat figures is outstanding
This was so incredibly helpful, THANK YOU! I had to rewatch each rythm at 50% and then 75% speed to get the hang of it, but that worked perfectly for me!
I owe big time (the pun wasn't intended, but that's the language). I've been playing for too long just off beat mostly. It took your video and this game to make finally go from almost zero to a hundred in 10 minutes. Thank you, practice rebooted correctly, let's play :)
Saber Galt thank you for thoughtful video for practicing rhythms! I hope this will increase my confidence when rehearsing and performing orchestral music.
This actually looks great to do melodies as well.I was at a block until I heard some of the rhythms.Well, there was a jazz musician,I dont remember who, which said rhythms and melodies are pretty much the same thing.
“Hey. Ramin Karimloo as Enjorlas from the 25th anniversary performance of Les Misérables here, and we’re gonna do some-“ It’s a killer fuckin look dude I love it.
good stuff thanks! for some reason when you vocalized with "da" in your previous videos it was more helpful (it stuck in my head) but still this is great too thanks
Saher Galt Whole notes-Half notes-Quarter notes -Eight notes-sixth notes and all the rest notes that's all I now can you help me know that can you make a list of your videos on reading notes Think You for making your videos for all the viewers Alan
The two beat count in kept tripping me up. I think two beats makes sense, because a whole bar count in for every exercise would get pretty boring, but maybe the two beat count in should be verbalised as "three, four".
Thanks for this. For some reason I'm really struggling with reading rhythms. I can read the notes just fine, I am learning scales etc fine just not this. Maybe I'm just to old.
Not sure if I like the rapid fire, no repeat.... With a vocal interruption throwing the tempo off before starting. Start after the count off, that's what it's there for. JS
I'm still struggling with the advance ones but I can handle the easy ones. I usually get it right on first or 2nd try but when reading sheet music usually the notes will throw me off when I'm that focused on rhythm. Got any advice? Thanks
This rhythm machine would be an amazing app.. just sayin.
Chris Meyers Omg yes. Just like the sight reading factory. If there was a app just for rhythm.

Great the rythm machine, make an app, please
I want to make it
I don't know why, but his voice and the way he looks at you is very relaxing :)

Perfect, but way too fast for beginners!
Yes, just pause the video and use a metronome in the desired bpm until you can manage the one in the video.
he has other videos, you might want to check those out too
You know that you can slow down the video, right?
MrMasongray turn down the playback speed, that’s what I do as it’s too fast for me too
Love the slowly incrementing difficulties! Excellent video, found exactly what I was looking for when I searched up rhythm sight reading practice :)
I learned a lot from your videos and cleared my confusion about rhythm reading.
Thanks man!
Stay safe!

Love from India. 😍
7:08- I will go practice it a few years before I get it.
Where can I get that rythum generator you use in the video ?
You could Write them onto pieces of card then lay them out in random order. Bingo!
Love your videos
It would be fun to introduce the repeat signs and then repeat the exercises one or two times. Then try them sped up a notch.

No such thing as too old :) Keep practicing, you'll get there.
dentoncrimescene it's never too late to try new things, enjoy your life
Some triple rhythms, please. 6/8, 12/8
For a vocalist, you sure have a wide understanding all things music. Were you a drummer before becoming a singer?
Singer first :)
Not sure if I like the rapid fire, no repeat.... With a vocal interruption throwing the tempo off before starting. Start after the count off, that's what it's there for. JS
Excelente !!!!!!!!!
PS I forgot to say I learned my counting ,1-2-3-4 and 1 & 2 & 3 & 4
1e&a 2e&a 3e&a 4e&a

Is this rhythm machine available? If you don't mind can you mention how to download this rhythm machine
I personally slow it down using UA-cam settings
Note to self 0:17, 1:57
I'm still struggling with the advance ones but I can handle the easy ones. I usually get it right on first or 2nd try but when reading sheet music usually the notes will throw me off when I'm that focused on rhythm. Got any advice? Thanks
Practice memorizing melody figures at a glance, that way when you're sight-reading that portion of the task will take less focus
Saher Galt what do you mean by melody figures?
It’s weird the bracing notes with percusiv4 sound ...no sustain ...
Fun!
Where is the speed adjustnenrt?
Do you give Skype lessons
You look very much like Syd Barret ☺
شكرا
