Everytime. Just like when the brass comes in on Hands off the self titled..the goosebumps never fail..but the screaming is so on point in this..whoever mixed this is really good.
Listen to this song for years. But never could relate till this year. My girl had a heart issue and was dealing will so much. She was barely holding on. We were separated as I work overseas and the lockdown prevented me from being with her. I had to pray more this year than all of my 31 years of life. My girl survived but was dealing with Covid and I bit my tongue from saying something towards God because I needed him to save her again. There is alot that went on this year but this song reminded me that no matter what we will find a way to get through this hard time. And if we lost we will fight with everything we have. I knew someone this time, she was dying as I bit my tongue . {My girl, she was dying} I knew little from my youth, but I knew too soon to save her . {I knew God from my youth, but I needed him more now to save her, as I was losing options} Well, it's like they all say. So take my breathe, I'll die today {I almost gave up and wanted to be with her if she wasn't going to live.} And I can't repent. And I can't regret {I didn't want to trust in God but he was speaking to me to let him handle it.} (And there's something I felt and it won't escape me And there's something I knew, and it won't escape me.) Well I'm running through my dreams, wishing you could see How fast it takes me to fall in open valleys . {Me and My girl was dreaming to accomplish so much together, but all I could think about is how Covid is taking so many peoples lives} My son you're all choked up { God begins to comfort me with hope} Just open your heart and believe {I started to trust and see and have faith in Him} The sun could make and cast the biggest shadows over me {God uses even dark times to give us a chance to draw closer to him and family.} Over the places I hold in my thoughts In my thoughts is where you'll be. {We are still taking it day by day, but if she died I will be ok but she will always stay in my thoughts.}
It's been a couple years for me and I still consider them one of my favorite bands regardless of the fact that I thought I had grown out of post-hardcore music. I still stand by this band, I have watched this video WAY too many times and I'm still blown away by how incredible Greg's live screams are. Best bit starts at 1:30
Wow!! someone recommended me this song... I thought I was done finding new completely amazing bands! I really hope the rest of their songs are this good!!
@Blazinnn89 I'm glad that Warped Tour turns people on to quality music. I'm always scared that bands like Moving Mountains get overlooked amidst the overwhelming sea of rehashed bands out there on warped. Good on you for taking the time to experience an emotionally redeeming band, man. Keep listening!
Im in love with this band ever since i saw them at warped. I immediately went to their tent and saw they had all of their albums for sale for 20 bucks. Best 20 bucks I ever spent.
I saw these guys live in Kentucky last year with Coheed and Cambria, and Piano Becomes the Teeth. One of the best shows I've ever been too, so good live.
11 years later and 1:37 STILL gives me chills. Every. Single. Time.
Same
Everytime. Just like when the brass comes in on Hands off the self titled..the goosebumps never fail..but the screaming is so on point in this..whoever mixed this is really good.
Potenza pura
Miss this band greatly.

This band needs to make music again 😢
I love the fact that they are so unique and awesome. Hope they get off their hiatus soon!
I'm still here
And this song still as awesome as it was 8 years ago!
My god what happened to this band? Absolutely amazing songs and albums. Waves is one of the best post hardcore albums ever released
Ten years ago yesterday, and I'm still listening.
Still my favorite band of all time
11 years later... forever😭
They're one of the most talented group of musicians I've ever heard they can pull off anything they write. All their albums masterpieces
To me the best song of Waves.
Simply magnificent.
I think this song has one of the best life lessons that can be taught, in it. Just open your heart.

I saw these guys live in Kentucky last year with Coheed and Cambria, and Piano Becomes the Teeth. One of the best shows I've ever been too, so good live.
It's unbelievable how beautiful this is. true story
The scream part in this video is perfect! 1:37
antojz and the background vocals that follow
this isnt even the right one, but thanks
Two of my fav bands mixed together = another fav band
This replay button will see no mercy.
I never thought they'd pull the screaming bits off live, but they definitely do.
Saw them two days ago. they were awesome live.
Sometimes I get the impression that people dislike videos like this just so that they will not have 100% 'likes.' Great song.
The riff at the start is so fucking good. Love this band they are very underrated.
Really miss this band
I've watched this video at least 150 times.
Great band. Great atmospheric songs. Good bass tone.
Live? holy crap. wow. I thought this was a video for a few minutes! crazy good quality.
The new sessions videos they did for the self titled album made up for this. Don't ever stop those passionate screams! Ever!
This guy makes such a simple drum kit sound so sweeeeeet
Awesome Band :D !
He loves Thrice, probably learnt to scream listening to them and modeled it around his! I wish I could scream that way.
I play your music every day
Breathing, eating and shitting this band since 2007! Loyal forever! ;))
So much passion!! OH MY F**KING GOD!!
make a dvd from it, god this is awesome
@lukasweiss9 It's a 90's made discontinued thinline telecaster. The new 69' thinline tele reissues are basically the same
DAAAMN THOSE SCREAMS!
SO MANY WIRES...love these guyss
1:35 best part of the song
superb performance!! no question its better than the studi version, which is totally cool too... awesome drumming work!! (Y)
this version sounds way better than the recorded one

@Billahh92 TOTALLY AGREE.
good .. emosional music..
ur spelling makes me emotional
"ur"
Wooowww....
does anyone know the tuning for this song?
what guitar is he using?
how do they walk around without stepping on anything
Brandon Ortiz who's walking around
They probably do
Try a Boss RV5!
There is a genre to define this band though
This song is post hardcore mixed with post rock
AS CITIES BURN!!!!
dude i need to learn how to sing like that guy
Who's the screamer ?
@TheDivineAberration ah. That makes sense.
It's like they all said
So take my breath, I'll die today
I get more of Thrice vibe, but I do agree I hear some of the similarities from As Cities Burn.
ooooohhhhhhhhhhhhlala, sexy screaming
scream is the identic to dustin kensrue one
1:37.
1.38................
But there are so many instrumental similarities to SILYAYD...
this video changes everytime i watch it, what the fuck. rather listen to the album version.
Please please please don't compare this to As Cities Burn, there is no genre to define this in my opinion, post hardcore? I dont think so.
silyayd
pretty cool how he doesnt want to do screams anymore
such a waste
2 people R jealous
ok if anyone else out there drums..doesnt he hold his sticks wierd?? lol
I know both, and they are the closest fit, but still that's two genres, not one.
there is no such thing as a song that is only 1 genre
ok.
appleseed cast meets thrice
i love them but the bass tone is horribly distracting
I hate listening to music with one headphone in.
Something about this band takes me away. In a good way though.
