    My favorite center of all time, i grew up watchin his intensity, and holdin his own against other fellow top centers, in the 90’s and early 2000’s

    Probably the most underrated NBA player of all time. Could do it all. Great shot blocker, great mid range game, hook shots with either hand. The Heat doesn’t win the NBA title in 2006 without him.

    Love your defence analysis videos on these players man pretty indepth and detail but one thing I couldn't help but notice is you haven't got much Kawhi defence videos which is pretty surprising considering he's the best perimeter defender in the league right now he's bound to have quite a few defensive highlights. I heard some people say he can't guards 1-3 which is silly since during the 2017 playoffs I don't know how he did in the other matches against rockets but in the second round against harden in game 2 and game 5 Harden is 1/10 while being guarded by Leonard with 5 turnovers. Would love to see and analysis or defence of him guarding some 1-4 for example regular season matches/playoffs against Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, John Wall, James Harden, Kevin durant, Klay Thompson and Giannis. Also where would you rank Kawhi in the top perimeter defenders. I have him above Scottie but below MJ if he gets another DPOY ill have above MJ and how would he do in the late 1900s era with hand checking.
    Also how does Kawhi rank all time in small forwards and today?

      More recent playoff series are harder to find because they get taken down due to copyright much more often than older series. That’s a big reason I couldn’t cover Kawhi Leonard, and I am much less active with my channel these days on top of that.
      Leonard for sure can guard 1-3 effectively. I have videos of him doing well against Westbrook and LeBron. Durant is the one guy who I’ve usually seen play consistently well against Leonard in a playoff series.
      I haven’t watched much NBA this year, I’ve mostly just checked the scores and standings every few days. I think you could make an argument for Leonard as the best or 2nd best SF for the 2018/19 regular season with Durant. Lebron had an underwhelming year factoring in his lack of defense and failing to even reach the playoffs.
      On an all-time scale I’d probably have Leonard in the lower end of the top 10 SFs so far. He’s still young and has a lot of time to prove himself. As a perimeter defender I’d rank Jordan, Pistons Rodman, Pippen, and Payton over him. I have not seen much footage of 2x DPOY Moncrief so I cannot accurately compare him. So Leonard would probably be just inside my top 5 all-time perimeter defenders.

      @@nobodytouchesmj9780 Dam what a shame wish there was still some old playoffs clips for you to be able to check out the recent one 2016-2017 is hard to find but 2014-15 playoffs is something ill love to see since he was against Blake as well as Chris Paul. and your right on that Leonard still got a lot of time to prove and what MJ would you say is better then him before the 3peat? After the 3peat or just all version of MJ's except the wizards MJ and how close is he to these guys defensively what is the edge he's missing I know Dennis roadman is the much versatile defender since he can guard 1-5 something Kawhi can't do but I feel like he has potential to.
      How does Kawhi do against the 4 I seem him handle Blake pretty well and Giannis not factoring in this year since it's not over yet. This year Giannis is having quite the season do you think Kawhi will be able to stop him come playoff time? They have Kawhi at 230 pounds but I honestly don't think he weights that he bodies Ben Simmons who is listed at 230 and Lebron is 250 and even he can't body Kawhi in the post like that.

      I think 1988-1993 Jordan was ahead of Leonard defensively. In the 2nd 3peat he slightly regressed defensively (and overall) so I’d definitely say prime Leonard was ahead of the older Bulls Jordan. Gregg Popovich has actually compared Kawhi Leonard’s 2-way play to Jordan.
      “He has the ability to do what a Michael Jordan did at both ends. I don’t mean he’s Michael Jordan, but Michael played both ends of the floor.” - November 2015
      I guess Leonard will just have to maintain his high level of defense for as long as possible to be on that next level. For example Jordan is tied-most All-D 1st teams all time with 9 (Payton Kobe Garnett) and tied-most times finishing top 8 in DPOY with 10 times (Hakeem Duncan Garnett). Which is one of the reasons I place him so highly.
      I haven’t watched much of Leonard trying to guard PFs but I’d assume he can do it well for brief stretches against smaller / stretch PFs. Pippen was built similar to Leonard and could occasionally guard bigs like Barkley and Webber.
      I’d go with what seems to be the safe pick with the Warriors over Bucks in the Finals. I’m not sure if Leonard, Gasol, and Ibaka can contain Giannis well enough, and Giannis also poses problems of his own on defense. At this point I trust Giannis more then Leonard to put the team on his back in the crucial moments.

      @@nobodytouchesmj9780 Very interesting read and yeah your right on that going be interesting to see how much Kawhi keeps his defence for I'm not going say no comments about the matchups Kawhi will face in the east yet want to see how it goes and ill comeback to reply here after haha

      Well Leonard really took his game to a whole other level this playoffs. I didn’t watch any of the series besides the 2 OTs but I didn’t expect Giannis to shrink like that nor for Leonard to explode like he has. I’m really surprised with the Raptors comeback

    Nice video! Anyone say Ben Wallace better blocker is applehead.In fact he was overrated for all great center no more prime(Ewing Olajuwon Robinson retired ,Shark Mutombo older ,Alonzo suffered kidney .Even he robbed Alonzo’s 2006 Allstar position and defense player of the year.Alonzo is much better than him that year.Ben became NBA player since 96 but until 2001 I know who he was.That only because he is lucky to pistons and all great centers go down that yeah(Shark always be underrated for his defense though he great defender).

    • @atlaslion5128
      @atlaslion5128 5 років тому +1

      33 double As much as I like Zo. Ben deserved it. Zo was playing as a backup center for Shaq in Miami while still averaging 2.6 blocks per game which is very impressive but Alonzo's health was pretty much destroyed by the disease not allowing him to be an allstar anymore.

    • @33double4
      @33double4 5 років тому

      Atlas Lion Before Shaq was back Alonzo 5.0 blocks per game and 15points 8 rebounds !Before all-star game he still got about 10 points 7 rebounds and 4 blocks which was
      still better than Ben after Shaq coming back .And don’t forget he only play 25mins per game almost half of Ben!So I can’t agree with “Ben deserve it” .His east center pick should be Alonzo’s for sure!
