Welcome to the Letterman UA-cam Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

This man was born in England during the madness of WW2, then immigrated across the ocean to the United States, excelled in the classroom graduating law school, was so likable that he was elected mayor of a large American city DESPITE a prostitute scandal, then became a news anchor for a decade, and a husband, and a father, then became a TV megastar by inventing the most absurd format for a talk show in history, then became a TV judge, etc. Say what you will about Jerry Springer, but the man lived a more dynamic life than 99% of human beings. RIP to a man that squeezed a TON of living out of 79 years.

There was a period in the 80s or 90s where Springer's show was hilarious must watch TV... a totally guilty pleasure. I loved that Jerry went from being a mayor to his ridiculous show and never took himself too seriously. Jerry made life a little more fun and silly. Not the worse legacy at all.
