Thanks so much TrickyMario7654, I have always been a huge fan of GP's back in the 80's and 90's, and especially of my hero #34 Kevin Schwantz. I'm having a blast watching these videos, bringing back so many amazing memories.
2003 I went to the States to the Schwartz Suzuki school. Was great, spent 2 days riding on the same track as the man himself. I am a so-so rider, so no heroics at Road Atlanta circuit from me, but was just great to meet him and get some pointers from such a guy
These are absolutely awesome and bring back so many memories - both with the races and the legendary combo of Dazza and Bazza! Love the stuff about people sending angry faxes to Kevin Schwantz - if they only knew how bad things would get in the age of social media ha ha.
@@Graham-mu1ul Rossi was always a clown. Not even close to being the greatest of all time, either. ALL of these top guys from the 80s and 90s were overall better. For me? Doohan was the best I saw, though I didn't ever get to see him win in person, he didn't have such a great time at my home track Laguna Seca.
@sergioleone3583 you are a fooking clown with comments like that ..I grew up with these guys but rossi was the last 500cc champion ...unlike today's monkeys who wouldn't last on these 2 strokes .... do pe
While I knew Chandler and Mladin raced in 500s, I don't think I was aware 1) for how long, and 2) how competitive Chandler was. Really explains how they both dominated AMA Superbikes later on.
he was always competitive in the AMA superbike in the very late 80's and 90's Mladin turned the AMA into a farm league club series.... sucks now with no factories....
Agreed. Sadly it seems that holds true across other motorsport. F1 isn't as good post 2010, WRC has dipped in terms of what cars they race, even WSBK is a bit tame now. I blame the lack of " Characters " Everyone's too worried about offending sponsors, or fans, or next door's cat. Either way it's less interesting now than it was. 🤔
everytime i see Barry, i have flashbacks of my 20's being a mechanic for a youngster in Motocross and the kid was the exact copy of Barry. we ended up calling him Barry haha!. i was younger than his father and when i said "fuck he looks like Barry Sheene so bad!" he looked at me like "OMG you're actually right!" and he felt bad because i put the finger on it before him haha! he had the same feeling about his son but couldn't put the name on it.
53:40 nothing to see here. the dude squashed the side of his tyre braking too hard on the angle and the steering dampers stiffened up. preventing him from turning in more. steering dampers are electronic nowadays. they stiffens up more and more as the speed goes up. but when they arein slow corners or in the pits, the steering is all smooth and nice.
God Bless Barry but he's so biased towards the Australian riders (yes I'm aware its an Australian channel) but some impartiality and credit to other riders would have been nice.
Yeah, he and Darrell always wanted the Aussie riders to do well. However, I’d say they were still quite impartial, hell they even called out the idiots who sent rather nasty remarks to Schwantz in the mail at the start of the telecast. Plus, they weren’t bitter when Doohan lost the title to Rainey at the final round in 1992.
@@TrickyMario7654 I'm an American and we had some of the greatest riders of all time, but I thoroughly enjoy Dazza and Bazza's calls. Doesn't hurt that Doohan was and is my guy. But really, they're fair about it, they wear it openly but show respect to all who merit it. In F1 we in the States had the great duo of Hobbs and Varsha, Dazza and Bazza calling Motorcycle GP racing are as great a team for sure!
Thank you very much for this races

Schwantz always rode the wheels off that Suzuki.
Same 😂
This brings back the memories when I was teen. Schwantz was my hero. We had a little suzuki bike at our home, made us suzuki fans.
Thanks for sharing that!
Same here reason I ride .. 1988 to present ....Kevin is the Best

*Well said !*

The greatest riders, at the greatest circuit, in the greatest era!
On the greatest bikes. I think the 80s had the greatest riders though.
Totally agree. It's such a shame they ruined this track since, as this configuration made for some epic battles.
Hero Schwantz

Oh god, imagine if this happened in the social media era. Boy, it would be even worse. Thankfully, these people were called out by Darrell and Barry.
Excelent!!! Thank so much TrickyMario!!!!!
You're welcome.
From a different perspective rip Darryl and Barry ❤
#34ks should become champion at least 2x
Prachtige herinnering aan deze race
Wow just as great as back then
*Great Race Kevin !*
Love seeing Kevin with that Texas Flag!
These blokes would have no trouble with today’s Motogp riders .. imagine Rossi trying his little mind games with Doohan , Schwantz & Rainey .. 🤣😂
Doohan, shwantz and Rainey would stalk Rossi and then leave him to eat fumes LoL 😂😂😂😂

Kevin schwantz was more entertaining in my opinion 🏴👍🏻🙂😉
And Rossi would of been minced up n spat out in no time 😂💪🏻👍🏻
Proper men on proper big boy bikes

Barros front end lose. Wow. An egg - beater of a crash. Nearly stamped on by his own Suzuki
As a Britt I had never heard Darryl Eastlake commentate and present. Love the nonsense attitude.
We loved it when Darrell would commentate with Barry. Great duo.
@@TrickyMario7654 Some of the greatest commentary, for sure. Thanks as always for having posted these treasures!
